Personalized care for your dog or cat - Hays

Highly-rated overnight sitters - Hays
“As an anxious dog mom who had never left my dog with sitters before (and a former Rover sitter myself), I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Savannah and Gabriel! They were incredibly communicative and responsive, and sent daily photos and updates that gave me so much peace of mind. Churro is still a puppy and potty training, and they were so understanding and even helped continue working with her. She had the best time playing with Kona and the other small dogs. I was able to fully enjoy my trip knowing she was in such great hands. We’ll absolutely book with them again!”

“Olivia was great at communicating with me before, during and after the stay. The home and yard are lovely. My French Bulldog was clearly happy to be there and had fun with the resident dogs.”

“Gail is awesome! I’m lucky to have her take care of my anxiety boy and I can tell he had a great time. Quinn is super friendly and playful, and is a great company. Will definitely come back.”

“Patches was the absolute best watching our Gomi for 2 weeks! She was gracious to allow Gomi to stay a little earlier after I realized there was a timing mistake. She kept us updated regularly and had no problem taking care of our very anxious boy. Gomi also isn’t usually the type to hang around other dogs so I was pleasantly surprised to see he was doing just fine with the other dogs boarded or in residence ! Definitely will be taking Gomi back to patches again!!”

“Another amazing stay! Thank you for taking care of cholula again and sending me lots of photo/video updates she was so happy with you! Highly recommend!”

“River had a great stay. He’s a high-energy chocolate lab, and they handled him really well. We got consistent updates and photos without having to ask, which I appreciated. He looked comfortable the whole time and got plenty of playtime and walks. Communication was easy and they were flexible with timing and his collar setup. Everything felt really smooth. Already booked with them again.”

I contacted her when our normal sitter canceled just before we were about to drop our dog off and we were in a panic to find a sitter for the weekend, as we were on our way out of town. Sarah responded immediately and was so helpful in coordinating the drop off to make it as easy as possible. She is so sweet and our dog, Charlie, seemed to do very well with her. About: My lifelong devotion to animals spans decades, beginning at age 7 when I rescued ducklings and extending through a lifetime of loving diverse companions. What sets me apart is the sheer breadth of my hands-on background. Over the years, I have personally owned and shared my life with a wide spectrum of breeds—including a Belgian Shepherd, Staffordshire Terrier, Blue Heeler, and a Miniature Schnauzer. Because I am entirely unphased by size, distinct instinctual traits, or high energy levels, I am uniquely equipped to adapt to your dog's specific personality and look after them exactly as they are. As a self-paced online college student, my schedule is incredibly flexible. Because I can study from anywhere, I can easily adapt my routine to fit your pet's needs right in the comfort of their own home. Whether I am house sitting or dropping in for a visit, your pet will get plenty of companionship. For dogs who love to lounge, I am happy to provide all the couch snuggles and belly rubs they can handle—they make the perfect study breaks for me! If they need 100% undivided attention or an active companion for a structured neighborhood walk, I am fully available. My care and deep respect extend to all family members, including independent felines—having raised both a Persian and a Maine Coon. I am also uniquely comfortable with a wide variety of animals. When you trust me to care for your home and your pets, you are getting a seasoned, versatile caretaker who honors your exact routine, respects every unique boundary, and treats your animals like family. As a self-paced online college student, my day is incredibly flexible, allowing me to fully prioritize your pet's routine. Because my coursework does not tie me down to rigid class times, I am available throughout the day for house sitting and drop-in care. I can easily adjust my schedule to align with your pet's established walking, feeding, and potty break times, ensuring they experience zero disruption while you are away. Safety and respect for boundaries are the foundations of my care. When staying in your home or dropping in, my first priority is securing the environment by ensuring doors, gates, and windows are locked tight. I closely follow all instructions regarding dietary restrictions, feeding schedules, and household rules. Because every animal communicates differently, I pay close attention to body language to ensure they feel safe and relaxed. Whether it means keeping a young pup's training routine perfectly consistent or knowing exactly where a timid cat likes to hide when meeting someone new, I manage your home and your pets with the utmost vigilance and care.
“Whitney was fantastic! She was reliable and was friendly with my cat, Fritz. She also took on a last minute booking when my flight was delayed and I couldn't get home in time. Would definitely recommend and will book with her again!”

“I had a bad experience with a different booking on Rover, and Olivia brought my faith back in this process. She was very flexible when I had to change times, extremely punctual with her visits, and the communication was always there. I will be booking her for future travel plans. A+++!”

“Whit took such great care of our cat, Purrky! He showered him with so much love, attention, playtime, and treats, and carefully followed all the instructions we left. Whit also kept us updated with lots of pictures and videos from every visit, which we really appreciated. It honestly gave us so much peace of mind knowing Purrky was in such good hands. Highly recommend Whit as a caring and trustworthy pet sitter! ✅”

About: I am very patient and understanding with dogs and cats and always have a soft spot for animals. I have experience working with older dogs and medication they might need. I am working around a few different aspects such as college schooling, some social gatherings with friends, and overall business. Many weekends I am free and some weekdays I am also free. I do not own any pets but I did watch my friend’s family dogs for many years. I have had a dog and a cat in the past.

“Michelle is my GO-TO for drop-ins with my cat when I go out of town. I'm the queen of last minute travel plans and never make it to our meet-ups on time, and Michelle is super flexible -- I can't say enough how much I appreciate that! My cat is a diva and he doesn't take to everyone, but he seems to love his time with Michelle, and the photos I get from her are amazing. I know she treats him like he's her own and I can't recommend her enough. Thanks again!”
“Christian was amazing! I felt very comfortable leaving my kitties with her. She took pictures every time she dropped in and even though one of my cats was too scared to come out, it felt nice knowing that someone was still checking on him and feeding them both. She even scooped out the litter box while she was here! I will use her again for sure.”

“Page has been such a huge godsend! My mom is in hospice care so I am having to go out of town often and it makes me feel so secure knowing that Page is here with the animals when I can not be.”

“Trinity was absolutely amazing. So respectful, sweet and my shy cats who hates everyone LOVED her. Her calming energy made them feel so safe. She will be our go to from now on thank you Trinity!!”

They treated her like a member of their own family, going above and beyond to ensure she was happy and well-cared for. Their flexibility and warm welcome immediately eased any nerves I had about leaving her with strangers. Queenie not only loved spending time with them but also adored their fur children and their son. I couldn’t be happier with the love and attention they provided. I’ll definitely be choosing Rachel and Justin again in the future for their exceptional care and genuine love for dogs!”

About: My wife and I have been dog sitting for multiple friends over the years and as Rover sitters since August 2020! We both love meeting new furry friends (and their owners) - we have 2 small dogs of our own. We do prefer to sit dogs with low to medium energy levels (to accommodate our elderly dog) and 2 years or older, but we can definitely make exceptions on age and energy level with a Meet & Greet. I work from home, so I’m readily available to keep your pet companion company while you’re away on vacation, business or if your grumpy mother-in-law who doesn’t like dogs is in town. Our home has a wide open floor plan with plenty of room to accommodate the even rowdy (but well mannered), playful ones, and has a very secure backyard. Happy to take your loved one on walks (except during afternoons in summer), on outings to the park and make any other accommodations to make their stay as comfortable and stress free as possible while they’re separated from their 'hooman'.
About: I have had pets my entire life. I consider pets part of the family. I am comfortable around all cats and dogs! I understand every pet is different, which means I care for every pet how they need to be cared for. I have had experience with senior & special needs dogs and cats! I am comfortable giving pet meds if needed. I am good with pets that have high anxiety. I also have experience with puppies and kittens as well! I work from home 2 days a week so I am able to spend all with your pet while I work. The days I do go in office, it’s only until 230. At my house (or at yours) the animals come first always. Personal plans/obligations will always be kept at a minimum when I am caring for someone’s pet. I am comfortable with pets of all ages, all sizes, all quirks!
“Highly recommend! My dog has dementia which means he's constantly having his brains turn more and more into mash potatoes. Patches was able to provide exceptional care with all his special needs and I never worried about him bc he was in such good hands! 😻 Meow!”

About: Hi, my name is Kalena. I've been providing dedicated and loving pet care for the past ten years. Animals have always held a special place in my heart—they’re truly the best part of my life. A few years ago, I lost my soul dog, Luck, to cancer, and more recently, my 1-year-old cat, Mio, to heart failure. These losses deepened my passion and commitment to being a voice and source of comfort for animals in need. I'm currently pursuing my master’s degree at Texas State University and looking for a side job to help support my education. You can find me on Rover, where I proudly hold a 5.0 rating for my compassionate and reliable pet care services. I've worked with a range of young puppies and kittens to older dogs and cats. I also have internship for 4 hours from Monday through Thursday from 3:30pm-7:30pm. On Mondays & Wednesdays, I will stop by my home in between my class and internship to let the dogs out and give them attention before leaving. Other than that, I am home full time. I will care for your furbaby as if they are mine. They will get undivided attention and love. I will always make sure your furbaby goes back to you happy and healthy.
About: Although new to official pet sitting, I’ve owned and taken care of dogs most of my adult life. I’m a retired yoga teacher with a very playful 9 month old Frenchton. I have lots of time and patience to take care of your pooch. I’m retired so I control my own schedule. I’m available 2-3 days a week. We are pet parents to a lovable Frenchton pup, so it will be important to communicate to make sure our furries are compatible. I have a large fenced in yard with a dog door and a wide open floor plan for the dogs to play inside. I will only ever take on one pet at a time so the only compatibility issues will revolve around matching up with our goofy 9 month old Frenchton.

Adventure-ready dog walkers - Hays

About: Hello everyone!, my name is Dominique and I have always had a dog in my life. My earliest memories consist of watching and helping my dog give birth and raise 10 puppies when I was 4 years old. Volunteering at the Austin Animal Center as a teenager was a natural step in my love for animals. I walked the small dogs outside for bathroom breaks and playtime while keeping puppies occupied when their crates were getting cleaned. I also walked the large dogs from their suites to the group play area and supervised multiple large dogs’ interactions. My friends have been trusting me to care for their animals and homes for 7 years now, and I have absolutely loved it! My experience ranges from small dogs to big dogs, puppies to seniors, and I have administered oral medication numerous times. The longest I have house sat was a week straight and the most animals I have cared for at a time is 4. I can’t wait to meet you and your babies❤️ I am currently working part time as a babysitter so I have a lot of availability for walks, feeds, hangouts, play, and cuddles! I am available seven days a week for feedings, walks, and daytime care starting at 10:30 am and into the night. For housesitting visits, I can come and stay at your house Friday night, Saturday night, and holidays for overnight care. First of all, I respect, follow, and complete all written or spoken directions on how to care for your pet and take care of your house. A typical sitting appointment for me is being there to provide food/water, frequent bathroom breaks, outside play, inside play (if given permission), a walk around the neighborhood (if requested), and a movie night with unlimited cuddles 🥰. I believe that it’s important to follow your pets’ cues so if they need extra attention, I am there to play or run around and if they need more space/alone time, I give them that time adjust. While we are having nap/down time, I will complete any household task asked of me which can consist of gathering the mail, putting out trash cans, watering the plants, etc. My favorite part of this experience is forming a bond with clients both human and dog so you can feel comfortable leaving your home in a trusted person’s hands!

“Riley is the best and my pup Sage loves her walks with him. It’s so nice to come home to a happy and calm dog. I have no doubt that she is always taken such good care of by Riley. He’s gone above by bringing in packages on my doorstep, picking up her dog toys, etc. I love getting to see all the pictures and updates of my fur baby while I’m at work.”

I have no problem administering medication and I'm comfortable with all ages, sizes, and breeds. 95% of my job is working from home, because of that I am quite flexible in my schedule. On occasion, I do travel for work/personal but will do my best to keep my Rover calendar up to date. My home is pet free, which means your pup will get my full attention! I live in a 2 bedroom apartment. I have a nice sized patio that is fully covered. The area has a lot of green space and sidewalks perfect for a long stroll. There is also a dog park available if your dog particularly enjoys being social. I allow dogs on my furniture and bed, however have no issue with sticking to the rules if that is not part of your daily routine.
