I've loved animals my entire life and grew up with a Boxer, Labrador Retriever, and Bernese Mountain Dog. I also regularly help care for my partner's French bulldog, so I'm comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. Outside of dogs, I have pet sat for friends' and family's cats, rats, and hamsters. I'm detail-oriented and attentive to animal behavior, with over seven years of experience working with rodents in a research setting. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I'm happy to send frequent photo and video updates to keep you connected while you're away! Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, or keeping your pet on their usual routine, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for 😊

Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I know every pet has their own routine, so I'll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications (if needed), and any other preferences to help them feel comfortable! I am also very respectful of your home and like to leave things clean and tidied.

Kiersten did an amazing job taking care of our two cats and two rats! She was incredibly attentive and made sure all of our pets were well cared for, including giving oral medication to one of our cats. She was clearly genuinely cared about the animals, and we loved getting picture updates :)
Our pups had such a wonderful time with Kiersten! She was so communicative with us throughout the stay and we always knew our pups were in great hands! One of our pups is very difficult on walks when she sees other dogs and Kiersten handled her so well! We cannot wait to rebook with her again :)
Kiersten is so great! My kitties were so comfortable so quickly with her, which is difficult to do because they can be pretty anxious and scared. The pictures and updates were great. Looking forward to having her watch them again :)
Kiersten is one of the best pet-caretakers I’ve ever had the privilege of hiring. I have never once had to worry about the well-being of my cat while she was in Kiersten’s care, since Kiersten is both an excellent communicator and someone who deeply loves and understands what makes pets so special. Photos and videos of playtime, messages that give me updates and general peace of mind, and a calm and professional attitude make Kiersten an excellent Rover sitter.

Schedule
I recently graduated with my PhD, so I currently have a very flexible schedule. I'm available throughout the week for walks, drop-in visits, and house stays. If staying at your home, I am able to be there for a majority of the day, and I would only step out for 2-3 hours at most. I'm happy to send regular photo and video updates while you're away.
