“My two rescue dogs, Archer and Luna run our household. Archer, 80ish pounds, is generally a couch potato but also has fairly extreme separation anxiety and is hit or miss when it comes to socializing with other people and other dogs. Luna, 60ish pounds, is an escape artist, food thief, and also exhibits leash aggression. They both, being hound dogs, are scent-driven and will bust out of a yard if given the chance, so anyone who watches them has to be quite attentive. Since they are not low-maintenance dogs, we are very careful with who takes care of them. Natalie has been a godsend. There is a noticeable difference in their behavior if they do not get time with Natalie during the week. Not only is she communicative and easy to work with, but she also clearly loves and tailors her interactions to each animal she encounters. I couldn't recommend Natalie enough!”

About: The best birthday gift I ever received was my childhood Golden, Lily Anna. I remember obsessively learning how to take care of a puppy all in hopes to show my parents that I was ready and able to care for who would become my greatest companion. Even now, I believe that caring for our pets is one of the most special parts of being a human. I won't hit you with the "they're a small part of our lives but we're their entire life" quote (whoops, just did) because it always makes me cry but that is truly the level of commitment and care I'll have for your pet. I've cared for every stage of a dog's life and have seen the unique beauty in each stage and also have experience with resources (I have rescued a dog and know the special approach it takes with those more timid babies). Whether your dog loves to go on runs or just prefers to laze about and have belly rubs, you can rest assured that I'll take care of them almost as well as you do -- almost :) I work from home every day but Wednesday (my office is about a 10 minute drive away). If you'd like to book on Wednesday, I'll make sure I stay home. I'm not required by any means to go into the office so I can be home with your pet for the entirety of their stay. My main objective is that your pets feel right at home. I have space to accomodate dog beds/crates and they are allowed on the furniture (if you let them on it at home). I'll uphold any standards you have at home so that your pet stays in a routine that makes them feel safe and comfortable. My yard is unfenced but if that is a problem, my next-door neighbors have offered their fenced yards for your pup to play in securely.

About: Hi! My name is Lacey! I’m 27 years old currently living in Austin Texas. I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and have 2 of my own, Theo & Pocket! I worked at a puppy kennel for a year and a half and have learned a ton about different dog breeds, temperaments and caring for them! I know trusting someone to take care of your pet can be nerve racking, mostly because they’re so much more than just a pet. I take pride in my experience caring for animals and understand how important it is in knowing your pet is being left in qualified hands. That being said, I’d love to meet your fur baby or babies and hope to hear from you soon! I’m currently working part time on my own schedule, so I have super flexible days and have plenty of time to take care of your pups! I’m available for dog walking & drop in visits 11am-7pm, Monday through Thursday. Each dog is incredibly different, and I know how important establishing a relationship with a new person is for dog. Not all dogs are friendly, goofy & happy to see you! Having own two fearful dogs myself, over the years I’ve come to learn how important recognizing even the slightest of dog body language is. Dogs communicate almost totally with body language. They can read you better than yourself! During check in’s, I always follow your dogs lead! I bring treats (pre-approved by Mom or Dad of course) & like to form a bond by practicing basic obedience commands during our walk, or playing with a favorite toy. My standard of care has always been to treat each dog like they were my own. Dogs are gifts to us and trusting them with someone can be scary. Leaving them in experienced hands is an absolute necessity and I take pride in my level of care.
