About: I’ve cared for my own dogs and helped watch pets for friends and family for several years. I’m especially comfortable with high-energy and vocal dogs since I’ve owned a Husky and a Sheltie, so barking, excitement, and big personalities don’t bother me at all. I genuinely enjoy walking dogs (even for free while dog sitting) because it’s calming for both me and the dog (as long as the owner is okay with it). I also take pet safety seriously. One dog I was caring for had eaten something it shouldn’t have before the owners left town. While dog sitting, I noticed the dog was acting unusual and decided to take it to the emergency vet right away while keeping the owner updated throughout the process. The dog ended up being okay, and I always try to stay attentive, calm, and communicative when caring for a pet. I recently graduated and am currently searching for jobs, so I have plenty of free time to dedicate to pet care. I’m available every day of the week and have a very flexible schedule throughout the day! I always try to make pets feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed whether I’m in my home or the owner’s home. I pay close attention to routines, feeding instructions, walks, medications, and anything else the owner wants done a specific way. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and bathroom breaks throughout the day. I’m very attentive to unusual behavior and believe in keeping owners updated if anything seems off. I also respect people’s homes and try to leave everything exactly how I found it.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life and I love animals. I have had to take care of puppies up to 12 year old dogs and I have a cat who I got at 8 weeks and I’ve been raising her ever since. My whole life I have had dogs from golden retrievers to Havanese or Aussiedoodles. My sister often asks me to watch her dog who is a ball of energy and she is so cute. I love all types of animals except snakes. I don’t have another job yet but I am looking for one right now. I am a full time student but I would love to take care of animals in my free time. I had cardboard blocking all of the railings in my house because my kitten could fit through it. I will be respectful of your home and take good care of your pets.

About: Hola everyone! My name is Lyana, and I wanted to share my wonderful experience as a pet and house sitter companion. As someone who adores animals and has a knack for taking care of homes, this role has been a perfect fit for me. I've had the pleasure of caring for a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, and even some exotic animals. Each furry or feathery friend has brought so much joy into my life. One of the things I love most about being a pet and house sitter companion is the opportunity to build strong bonds with the animals I care for. Whether it's playing fetch with a lively pup or curling up on the couch with a purring cat, the love and companionship they provide is truly heartwarming. It's incredibly fulfilling to know that I'm making a positive impact on their lives while their family is away. In addition to the joy of spending time with animals, house sitting allows me to explore different neighborhoods and communities. I've had the chance to discover beautiful parks, scenic hiking trails, and charming local spots, all while ensuring the safety and security of the homes I'm entrusted with. It's like having a mini adventure every time I take on a new house sitting assignment. I enjoy engaging in stimulating conversations with the pets or providing a calm and peaceful environment through yoga and meditation, I strive to create a positive and enriching experience for both the animals and the home. Being a sunrise person, I love starting my day bright and early, ready to tackle any tasks that come my way. This allows me to provide the utmost care and attention to the pets and house, ensuring that everything runs smoothly during the owners' absence. Outside of my pet and house sitting duties, I have a passion for baking, hiking, traveling, and freelance work. These interests keep me inspired and motivated, and I'm always eager to share my experiences and tips with others. If you're in need of a reliable, responsible, and compassionate pet and house sitter companion, I would be honored to be of service. Rest assured that I will treat your pets and home with the utmost care and respect, providing them with the love and attention they deserve. Kindly reach out to me to discuss your needs. I'm currently available to house/pet sit, and dog walking most days. We are flexible with time & days! Reach out to discuss any details for my services offered. I follow the routine of your home. My love and care for the pets is to always welcome them and watch them joyfully interact and be fully engaged in their world :)

About: I have loved and lived with animals my entire life, growing up with dogs since birth. I currently care for parents dog and cat, which gives me daily, hands-on experience managing different pet personalities, feeding schedules, and keeping both dogs and cats happy and safe. This summer, I am taking online classes from home and do not have a full-time job. This gives me a completely open, highly flexible schedule. I will be spending the vast majority of my day directly at your home, meaning your pets will have constant companionship, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of attention. Safety and respect are my top priorities. I treat your home with the utmost care, keeping everything clean, secure, and locked. I also send daily photo and text updates so you always know your pets are safe, happy, and thriving.

About: I am a pet lover, owner, and love all animals. I am passionate about their care, and treat them as my own. I have a tuxedo cat, and live with a yellow lab. I have experience with cats, dogs, fish, birds, pet rats, assertive roosters, chickens, and even the basics for horses. Big dogs don’t scare me! I am confident about delivering medication needed for your pet, and will take the best care of your pets. I lead with responsibility, and details are important to me. I monitor and watch for issues with your pets. I am generally avoidant of other dogs, just because of the unknowns of how they may interact. I will collect mail, water plants, gather packages, scoop poop and take out trash as needed. I always try to leave someone’s home as if I were never there. I am currently working from home remotely. I have flexibility in my schedule for early morning, lunch time, and afternoon visits/walks. For overnights/sleepovers and staying at your house I require a reliable internet connection (working remotely). I also have safety lights/reflective items if we are walking in the dark. I treat pets as my own, giving pets, loving, and brushing. If allowed I invite them to sleep with me and sit on the couch with me. I take thorough instructions on walks, safety, feedings, medications, schedules, and follow them. It’s important to me the health and wellbeing of the pets I’m with. I will also send pics, videos, and updates throughout my visit. I believe in lots of fresh water, watch the heat and weather for your pets. I am cautious when walking and give a lot of space between other walkers and dogs. I like to be informed of any reactive behaviors, or things to watch out for.

I hired Norah last minute to help walk my German Shepherd while I recovered from surgery, and she has been an absolute lifesaver this past week. She has experience with larger breeds, and Forest immediately fell in love with her. She always kept me updated with thoughtful updates, adorable photos after each walk and even helped me refill water, which gave me so much peace of mind. Norah is kind, reliable, and truly goes above and beyond to make everyone comfortable. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable dog walker especially for breeds like GSDs

Tanushree did a great job with cooper! She was so kind and connected with my dog immediately. She put a lot of care into his walk and she makes sure to go different routes each time so that my dog can sniff some new smells. She also uses her dog walks to train!! My dog is now learning how to sit and wait politely on walks when he sees another dog - he used to be much more reactive! (Because he wants to sniff butts and play when he sees other pups). I would give her more stars if I could! I will definitely be rebooking and I encourage everyone to give her a try!

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
