About: With roughly four decades of dedicated dog care experience, I offer more than just walks and boarding; I provide a loving home away from home. Every wagging tail receives personalized attention, snuggles, and the patience they deserve. I believe in clear communication and pay meticulous attention to every need and detail, ensuring your furry friend feels safe and cherished. From light training reinforcement to exciting walks and invigorating hikes, every moment is tailored to your dog's happiness and well-being. Entrust your beloved companion to me, where they'll find a second home filled with love, care, and adventure. I currently work part-time (flexibly) from home, so I am able to consistently attend to your pup's needs and provide play, snuggles, and exercise throughout the week/weekend. I have a fenced yard, and live in a neighborhood that is great for walking (I do daily walks and/or hikes). I am happy to adapt to whatever routine your dog is accustomed to, such as crating, furniture rules, walking or feeding routines, etc. I have a 4 year old, female Aussie/Lab mix who has yet to meet an enemy. She is a happy girl with lots of energy, but does not tend to overwhelm dogs who need their space.
“Carrie was absolutely wonderful! My dog is shy and she did well with making her feel comfortable. Carrie would send multiple pictures and gave her lots of love! She also realized we would be getting home late and she left a light on for my dog as well as us! How thoughtful!”

About: I grew up with a wide variety of animals but especially cats and dogs. I’ve been dog sitting and walking as a side hustle since freshman year of high school in 2016. I moved out and got certified as a wag walker in early 2023. It’s been a great side hustle over the years and I’ve picked up additional skills like training and grooming. I also have two cats as an adult. What has changed currently is leaving my full time job in hopes of connecting with things I love like animals. My parents no longer live in state and I miss my dog friends. I make my own schedule and most of my income is currently from pet care. Open to odd jobs and odd hours, genuinely love the work. I have diagnosed ocd so if you give me a list I will stick to it. I try to go above and beyond when it comes to care and that extra step. Bonding with the animal and understanding their specific personality is highly important to me.
“Kristen has been absolutely wonderful with my dog, Maverick! She’s incredibly responsive, communicates throughout the day about how he’s doing, and always sends the sweetest updates. I really appreciate how flexible she’s been with my schedule and how dependable she is. It’s such a relief knowing Maverick is in great hands — highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy walker!”

About: Starting in high school, I have volunteered at pet shelters. I am extremely passionate about animals; I love cats and dogs alike. I have a crazy 5-year-old Australian Shepherd who is my fur baby and best friend. He is a very special boy who can be reactive on leash (he was attacked by another dog when he was a puppy) so I am used to dealing with different temperaments; I am by no means a dog trainer but I feel I have a good understanding of dog behaviors that often get misinterpreted by others. I would love to spend time with your furry animal and keep them happy and comfortable while their owner is away; my dog has separation anxiety so I understand the love they need to ease their discomfort. I recently moved to the area and work as a nurse 3 days a week so I have a flexible schedule. I am available on weekends as well. I don't have much of a set routine at this time. I have a very sensitive and at times reactive dog so I am very attuned to the needs of animals. It's important to maintain a calm, loving, safe and supportive environment as I know animals can feed off our energy.

About: I grew up with a dog until I was 18 (Westie - Minnie) and then after college was adopted by a wonderful rescue sphynx (PyeWacket). Over then next 20 or so years I have had 4 sphyx cats (PyeWacket, Forty Two, Tesla and Cairo) and 1 Lyikoi (Cypher). Over the last year my house has had 4 puppies (from 8 weeks), 2 turtles, 2 Guinea pigs, 2 full size dogs 6 cats and multiple fish. I also often house sit for a very smart chihuahua named Mazie. Currently in between jobs so my schedule is fairly open. Like early and late walks due to the heat but open for anything. Open to late night feedings if needed. I treat your animals like they were my own. Love to play, hang out and what ever your little one needs. Need to make sure they know they are loved.

About: I've taken care of pets since I was very young. I would house sit for my neighbors until I was old enough to volunteer. I volunteered at an animal shelter where I would bathe, train, and walk dogs. As well as play with the cats as well! I have a dog who I take on two walks a day and play with other pups when we can! I live in an apartment, but I can house a crate as well or block them off if needed. I also have a crate for my dog as well. As of now I am a chiropractor with flexible work hours. I have a dog myself and I always make sure to take him on long walks and get him out and about! I can easily crate your dog as needed! I do not have a yard but I do constantly take them out on leash! I also have a turf area in my apartment and a dog park near by!
About: New to Rover but caring for pets and homes locally as if they were my own has been part of my life for years. I know how important it is to trust the person you’re leaving your pets with and I take that to heart. I’m patient, reliable, and pay close attention to the little things that keep pets happy and homes feeling cared for. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages, including playful puppies and gentle senior pets who may need extra time, medications, or a softer touch. I’m comfortable handling different routines, personalities, and special needs. Beyond pet care, I’m respectful of your home and keep everything tidy so you return to a space that feels just the way you left it—or a little better! Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily life because I work remotely from home. That means I’m around throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, meals, playtime, and plenty of companionship. My flexible schedule allows me to stick closely to each pet’s normal routine, whether they need extra attention, medication, or just a reassuring presence. Having animals around just makes my days better, so it never feels like a job to me. When I’m staying in a client’s home, I keep pets on their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable. That means regular meals, walks, playtime, and as many snuggles as they can stand:)
“I would give Keley 10/5 stars, if I could. She really has been amazing. I have a very shy dog and she has put so much effort into befriending him, and gives both of my dogs extra attention and scratches. She sends me pictures of them when she takes them out and I love getting those. I saved a bunch of them because they are like having professional pictures. Kelsey has been able to come every weekday and is extremely kind, dependable, and trustworthy (she has a house key). She is definitely the best!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
