“Ras is awesome to work with! She is responsive and flexible. It was clear during our meet and greet and her messages while spending time with my pups that she has experience in working with all types of dogs and I feel confident in her ability to take great care of them. I look forward to continuing to work with her!”

“Melondy was great! We booked this trip over a month ago and it unfortunately landed during the weekend of the winter storm and she was still very understanding. Our two gremlins were super happy when we returned and had a great time.”

“Cortney watched our cat and dog for 12 nights and came home to a tidy home and happy pets! She was gracious enough to stay an extra night for us when we missed our flight and were stranded in another city for a night. Thank you Cortney!!!”

“Amanda was an amazing sitter. She took care of my dog Teddy brilliantly. I received wonderful photos each day from her as well. Can’t say enough about how responsible and caring Amanda was. I would have her back in a heartbeat.”

About: Dogs have been part of my life since childhood. I grew up in a home where our dogs were family, which is where I first learned to read their cues, respect their needs, and love them without condition. That foundation has stayed with me. Today I’m a dog mom to two of my own, a 2-year-old poodle/corgi and a 5 month-old puppy, so I have hands-on experience with dogs at every stage of life. I understand the patience a puppy needs, the gentleness a senior deserves, and everything in between. I work from home, so your pup will never be left alone for long. Expect regular potty breaks, playtime, lots of love, and photo updates so you always know they’re happy and safe. Your dog is family. They’ll be treated exactly like mine. 🐾 I work from home, so your dog is never sitting alone waiting for someone to come back. We’re right by Lady Bird Lake and Barton Springs, so outdoor adventures are a regular part of our routine, hikes, fresh air, and plenty of space to roam. Inside, I follow the dog’s lead, some pups need their own space to decompress, others just want to be glued to your side. Either way, I’ve got them. I live in an apartment in downtown Austin with two dogs of my own, so I know how to make it work without a yard. There’s a spacious open area right outside where we get fresh air and stretch our legs regularly. I’m comfortable with small to large dogs. My home is calm, my dogs are friendly, and you’ll get daily reports of your fur babies and how they’re settling in!

About: I’ve grown up around animals my entire life and genuinely love spending time with them. I have had a cat since I was five years old and multiple dogs since I was seven, so caring for pets has always been a big part of my life. Over the years, I have pet sat for neighbors, family, and friends while they were away on long trips, helping with feeding, walks, playtime, and making sure their pets felt safe and comfortable at home. I always have both the pet’s and the owner’s best interest in mind, and I truly love helping animals whenever they need care, attention, or patience. I understand that every animal has a different personality, and I always take the time to help them feel comfortable and cared for. I have also volunteered at animal shelters, which has made me even more passionate about giving back and helping animals in any way I can. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or shy and nervous at first, I will always treat them with kindness, patience, and lots of love. I am currently EMT school, studying to get my EMT license so my days consist of reading and studying. Additionally, I am a college athlete so I do try to work out almost every day and live in active lifestyle. I do not currently have a job because I am in EMT school, which means my schedule is extremely flexible and I would be able to bring study materials to your home or take breaks to come take care of the pets anytime! I always prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for every pet in my care. I have a pretty big backyard with a tall fence, so I can easily accommodate your animals and give them space to safely play and explore. I always make sure pets stick to their normal routines as closely as possible so they feel relaxed and secure while their owners are away. I am very patient with new animals and always take the time to learn their personalities, needs, and comfort levels. Your pet’s safety will always come first, and I will make sure they are always on a leash, walked only in the areas you designate, and placed in any crate or area you prefer when needed. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I will always treat them like my own and keep both the pet’s and owner’s best interests in mind.

“She’s just the best. Our animals are happy, healthy and well taken care of. We feel safe leaving them with her—it’s the best you could ask! Thanks again Magdalena”

“Melissa did a great job of taking care of our three dogs . She house sat our One Golden , a mutt and a young sheppard. She texted us with questions and updates . We were able to leave without worrying about our babies. What a blessing she is. Great dog sitter !”

“Cienne took great care of my pups! She stayed at my home and sent lots of updates which I love. My girls looked very happy and comfortable. Will definitely have her over again!”

About: I have always grew up around dogs, both big and small so I have experience with walking them, caring for them, bathing them, etc. I currently have a dog of my own who I have had since I was 11. Right now I am in school so I only plan to do extended petsitting on weekends until the start of my summer but I do not have any other job so I will be able to give your pet my full time and attention! In the past I have fostered multiple cats from Austin Pets Alive in recent hears and I love being with cats, I am very open to caring for cats as well! I am currently in school until the end of may so right now my schedule for extended pet sitting will only be on weekends, though my weekends will be extremely flexible!! Over summer I will be free everyday and have the same level of flexibility! I will always make sure pets feel safe, happy, and comfortable while I am caring for them. I'll follow their usual routines, pay attention to what their needs, and make sure that the space is clean and safe! I also love sending updates and photos/videos so that you know your pet is doing great and will never have to worry!!
“Amiah did a great job taking care of the house and of our Cattledog Bo. He took right to her and maybe was just a bit disappointed when we got home and she wasn’t here! LOL We got updates and pictures while away and she was very flexible when our flight was delayed and we were a day late getting home.”

“We cannot recommend Woody enough! We’ve never felt fully comfortable leaving town and having someone stay overnight with our dogs—until Woody. From the start, they were kind, communicative, and clearly loved our pups as much as we do. Our dogs adored them so much that I think they were actually a little sad when we got home! 😂 Woody went above and beyond, especially when the dogs decided to have a little adventure in the muddy backyard. They handled cleanup and care of our home perfectly—everything was spotless when we returned. Truly an outstanding experience from start to finish. We’ll absolutely be booking with Woody again!”

“A perfect 10. Ashley did a wonderful job taking care of our pup and staying in communication with us. She also sent over super cute photos of our doggie. We wholeheartedly recommend her services.”

“Words can’t express how wonderful Matthew is! We were a bit nervous using Rover the first time, especially because we were leaving the country for 10 days and have some quirky, special pugs. But Matthew was a total pro and super nice guy! He took such great care of our two pugs and our home. He was very communicative, quick to respond, and super tidy. We loved getting all the pics and videos he shared. He made everything so easy and stress-free. He truly went above and beyond, and we 100% would love to have him housesit and take care of our dogs again. Highly recommend!”

“Christine has been a great sitter for my two dogs- one who can be very slow to trust sitters and she always keeps me informed with pictures and dogs are happy!”

“Leslie was the most amazing Petsitter! She kept us updated on our pups, sent us ton of adorable cuddle pictures and left the house spotless. She even kept the chickens happy 10/10. Definitely would recommend!”

About: Grew up with dogs and have been the go to person for family and friends for the last 10 years. Fine with dogs of all ages. Playtime maximalist. Reluctant over indulgent treat giver. I'm a self employed data consultant giving me flexibility throughout my day. Start the morning at home before heading to my co working space. Never out of the house longer than 4 hours at a time. I do change my schedule to accommodate senior dogs or puppies. I work with one dog at a time to make sure they have my full attention. When home sitting, I maintain the pet's routine and standards to make them as comfortable as possible.
West Lake Hills pet parents share their Rover experiences
Regan is amazing. Kept the whole house and 4 cats plus a random selection of outside critters and plants happy while we were gone. The cats showed no reaction when we got home and I wonder if they missed us at all with Regan here. That would be so wonderful if they didn’t!! So happy she is sitting for us again soon.

I would book Kristyn again in a heartbeat! She stayed overnight with my dog Rosie. She was very thorough and asked all the info she would need, and paid attention to the instructions after she arrived. She spent a lot of time with Rosie, and the house was perfectly spick and span. I was able to enjoy my time away with no concerns. Thank you, Kristyn!

Brandi and her family were an absolute delight and great caretakers of Moss! I had last-minute changes in holiday travel plans and am so glad that she was available to watch Moss; I am also very appreciative of her flexibility with pickup time when my return flights were delayed. It is clear that Moss had a phenomenal week. I received regular pictures and updates on his time with Brandi, her family, her dog and other dogs as well; everyone got along swimmingly. Moss got lots of attention, outside time, and park trips! Overall, I would highly recommend Brandi: it is clear that she loves animals and works hard to make sure both pet and pet parent are happy.

Olena was truly the BEST. I get so nervous leaving my pups (to put it lightly haha), but as soon as she came over for the meet-and-greet, I immediately knew they would be in the best hands. She gave them so much love and attention, left our place spotless, took them on long walks, and sent the sweetest updates. You can tell she’s a genuine animal lover, and I’m so grateful to have found someone I trust with my pups. So so grateful that we found her!
