“We’ve been bringing GusGus to Paul and Karina’s for almost 2 years now and we absolutely love it!! They treat GusGus like part of the family, send great pictures throughout the day or boarding stay, she has friends to play with and also just downtime laying around other dogs. Always fast to communicate and in general are just fantastically good people. We count ourselves extremely lucky to have them nearby and I know that both GusGus and we are grateful to have them.”
“Stephanie is great! Communication was clear and prompt. I received great updates and pictures. She has a beautiful yard and it is obvious that she really cares for the dogs she watches. I had a completely worry-free time knowing my pup was in great hands!”
“Lots of room for Nyx to play with other the other dogs. The host was professional and efficient also very nice and straight forward about what she expects. I look forward to the next time for sure”

“We have been loving getting to know Ms. Aimee and her neighborhood. Fable has gone on lots of adventures with Ms. Aimee and is so excited for daycare. Thank you for all your love and care”

“Yesenia is always the best sitter for our pup. She has wonderful communication and makes me feel so comfortable leaving my dog with her. She sends lots of photos and makes you feel reassured that your pup is in the best hands!”

“Ashley does an incredible job with my pup, Kona. I was a bit nervous about leaving her with someone else, but Ashley made me feel really comfortable and gave me a lot of updates! She also has been incredibly flexible with my crazy schedule and accommodating with Kona's preference to only be with smaller dogs. Thanks Ashley!”

About: Hello! My name is JJ and I'm a trail runner that decided to combine the two things I love the most: exercise and animals. I have been providing pet care for dogs, cats and other household pets full-time for over 8 years in Austin now. I am currently providing pet care full-time during the week and often have weekend availability. As a pet parent and a user of Rover pet sitters myself, I know how important good communication and reliability is when you are away from your pet family. I prioritize responding promptly to all booking requests and communication throughout the duration of booked appointments. This includes happily answering questions, sending updates and pet pictures of each visit. For me, communication, transparency and trust are key to having a worry-free workday or trip away! PET CARE: *NEW* Now offering boarding and doggie daycare. My partner and I purchased a house in North Shoal Creek and can now host up to 4 dogs. My partner, Josh Cross, is a software developer and works from home, so visiting pets will always have a human companion while I am away on walks and check-ins. I offer check-ins for dogs, cats and other household pets, to give them food, water, bathroom breaks, clean litter boxes, etc. If there is ever a package or mail by the door, I always bring it inside, as well. WALKS: If your dog(s) just need a potty break and some exercise, I’m more than happy to go for 30-60 minute walks. I typically use my own waist leash, but I can use your leash, if preferred, and I have a tandem leash attachment to take two dogs for an outing together, if needed. RUNS: For dogs that like to run, I can jog at your dogs pace for 30-60 minutes. Slow or fast, with water breaks, walk breaks, and potty breaks. On hot days, I prioritize finding the shadiest routes in the area and run in the grass when possible. For running dogs, I prefer them to wear a body harness or gentle leader, if available. *I offer a limited number of dog runs per day depending on daily volume.* My love for animals comes from growing up with a family that spoiled inside pets of many species and sizes. I cherished my own chihuahua, Zeus, of 14 years. Nowadays, I share a big, sweet super-mutt named Ozzie with my partner, Josh. I currently have weekday availability during traditional work hours, but I also have some evenings and weekends available. I don’t prefer to book recurring weekly appointments on the weekends. I regularly keep my Rover calendar updated and list the dates I’m out of town in my profile, in case I don’t have reception on vacation, usually a camping trip. I prefer to use a waist leash, which is safer and more secure than holding a leash in my hand. Please supply waste bags and any treats you would like me to give to your pet.
About: For 13 years I've taken care of dogs, cats, river turtles, hamsters and snakes (yeah 😂). Literally count me in for anything you need 🤍 I'm a morning person so, in case you're running late for work, I'll take care of the angel ✨ My schedule is very open at the moment. Currently available to work at your home and make the most out of it. I also like them to socialize so, if beach or park is accessible nearby, I like to have them walk around and meet other angels 🙏🏻🤍
“Denise is a great and prompt communicator and super appreciate how flexible she was. My pup has Sep anx which requires someone home at all times and it was super appreciated that she could accommodate his needs!”

About: I have been a dog owner for 8 years and have experience with post surgery, administering medicines, and senior dogs for 2 years. I’ve watched my several of my friend’s dogs and they all get along great with Tendie! I love to play with energetic dogs and relax and snuggle with lazy dogs. I have a good sized fenced in yard for dogs of all sizes to explore and sniff to their hearts desires! I work from home so I can accommodate any special bathroom or other timing needs. Tendie is a senior dog who does very well with other dogs and mostly keeps to himself after he’s met another dog. I work from home so I can accommodate any special timing needs your dog may have. I can let a dog out in my yard anytime of day for bathroom breaks and typically go on walks around 4-5pm, but can adjust if needed. I have a fully fenced in yard and live on a quiet street away from loud traffic and busy intersections. I also have several rooms to separate any dogs if some alone time is needed.
About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have cared for over five dogs of different sizes, breeds, and ages with my family. From playful puppies to sweet senior dogs, I understand how to adapt to each dog’s unique needs and personality. I love spending time playing, walking, and giving dogs the attention they deserve. Whether it’s belly rubs, outdoor play, or quiet company, I’ll make sure your pup feels safe, loved, and happy! Besides dogs, I love all animals! I have had bunnies and birds before and know how to take care of them! I work remotely full-time, which which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and care throughout their stay. My daily routine is flexible, so I’m able to accommodate feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, cuddle time, medication routines, and regular check-ins. I like to keep each pet’s routine as close as possible to what they are used to at home. Whether they need active play, quiet company, extra patience, or a calm space to relax, I do my best to adjust my day around their comfort and needs! I live in a spacious apartment that offers plenty of room for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and well supervised! I got my two friendly American Shorthair cats at home, so I’m very mindful about introductions, boundaries, and each pet’s comfort level. I always take time to understand how each pet does around other animals! If a pet needs their own space, quiet time, or a slower introduction, I make sure they have a calm area where they can relax. I keep the environment clean, organized, and peaceful so every pet feels cared for during their stay!
“Highly recommend! My dog has dementia which means he's constantly having his brains turn more and more into mash potatoes. Patches was able to provide exceptional care with all his special needs and I never worried about him bc he was in such good hands! 😻 Meow!”

“I am happy I found Elizabeth to watch over Buster! She gives him lots of love and care and treats him like family! She has a great love for animals! She gives lots of photo updates of what Buster is doing throughout the day.”

“They were fabulous!!! My dog Inez loved playing with their pup Willy and I got several pics and videos throughout the day. She seemed very tired and content when she got home! Extra special thanks to Katherine because our flight coming back was delayed several times and she was so nice being flexible with having to change pickup time. Would definitely recommended!!”

About: I’ve always grown up with dogs, worked at a vet clinic when I was younger, and became a doggie foster as an adult. I have experience caring for senior pups as well. I'll treat your pup as a loved family member. Rest assured, your fur baby will be in good hands. I am mostly a stay a home mom. I take my dog to the dog park daily, and when the weather is nice we will walk Town Lake. I have cameras in my home and on the property. If I am not home I can take a look at how the dogs are doing. I also have a fenced in yard.
“I can't say enough nice things about Amanda and Jared. We needed a dog sitter last minute while in town and they were quick to respond! They sent pics as the day went on and took great care of our puppy. If we're ever in town again we will be sure to ask them again before anyone else to watch our pup again.”

About: I've taken care of friend's and family's dogs for years! Natural dog lover at heart but unfortunately haven't been able to adopt a fur-friend of my own. Experience with shy timid dogs that need a calm friendly companion to look after them! I currently WFH so have lots of time to spend with you pups! We’re so grateful for Rachele, who took a last minute request to watch our mini Aussie for 3 days. Piper always came home happy and tired, from a fun day of walks and play. I got lots of updates and cute photos. We’ll definitely be rebooking. Thank you, Rachele 🥰

Mackenzie was wonderful!! It was immediately apparent how much experience she has caring for animals, and she made me feel at ease knowing my fur baby would be in great care! My dog can be shy, takes meds, and has Sep anx and she handled his routine like a pro! Will definitely book again!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your West Lake Hills commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
