“Mo is so incredibly thoughtful and kind. He is great with our 12.5 year old boxer. He keeps up with her medication schedule, sent plenty or updates and pictures, and is just super communicative overall. With this being our second house/pet sitting experience with Mo, I can definitely say he is our new go to. Couldn’t recommend him more.”

“This was our first time using Rover, and we couldn’t have had a better experience with Paula! She came highly recommended by our neighbors. From the very beginning, she did a meet-and-greet and our pets loved her instantly. We have very spoiled fur babies and a long list of “crazy” asks, and she followed every single one of them without hesitation. She was incredibly attentive, caring, and patient. Paula kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It truly felt like our pets were in loving, trustworthy hands. Our fur babies loved her and will absolutely be using her again. I highly, highly recommend Paula to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter! 🐾💛”

“Marsha is AMAZING!!! She spent two weeks with my pups and sent updates nearly every day. Both boys were worn out everyday and were so happy. Marsha is definitely our favorite sitter, and we won't be using anyone else as long as she's available. ??”

“Matt did a great job taking care of our cat and dog! I’m always nervous leaving them behind when going out of town, but Matt was communicate and made me feel at ease. T hey and our house were well taken care of!”

“Brittany was absolutely incredible! She looked after our pups and our home perfectly while we were away. Her communication was stellar, we loved getting the daily picture updates, which gave us total peace of mind. We returned home to very happy, relaxed dogs and a perfectly clean house. Brittany is reliable, trustworthy, and a true professional. We will absolutely be booking her again!”

About: I’ve cared for fur family members for myself, friends and family. I pride myself in being someone you can more than rely on. I will treat your babies like they are my own because I know how hard it is to be anxious about your loved one while you’re away. I work as a hairstylist during the day, but I make my own schedule so I’m trying to optimize my free time as much as possible. I can squeeze in drop in visits/walks before and after my work day. I have the utmost respect for other people’s things. I will treat everything as my own, from house sitting, to pet sitting, to babysitting, you will never have to worry. I’m an excellent communicator, if there ever is any anxiety and will happily put you at ease with physical proof.
“Another great stay with Aleksi! He was so flexible and understanding with what seemed like our ever-changing schedule after some travel difficulties, and as always took such amazing care of Woody and our home. Always five stars!”

“Katherine is amazing!!! She wanted our bulldog over the weekend and sent me so many updates with the most adorable pictures. She came over earlier this week to meet us and our dog. She was lovely and so easy to talk to to. She responded to messages so quickly. We will definitely be using her again!”

“We are incredibly grateful for Kimberly's outstanding service and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone in need of a trustworthy and attentive dog sitter. Kimberly responded promptly to my request and setup a time to meet us and review the dogs' routines. I was impressed with how generous she was with her time and attention to details. She agreed to stay at our apartment for 4 days to care for our cavies that require a lot of love and attention. She communicated throughout the trip and sent pictures, which helped put us at ease when we saw how happy our dogs were in our absence. They were even snuggled up on the couch the same as if we were home, it was amazing. She left our apartment cleaner than she found it and left no trace of her stay. I highly recommend her exceptional service!”

“From beginning to end of her five-day stay, Luciana was attentive and loving with our two high energy Aussies. They can be a handful, but she followed our instructions for how to manage their energy and keep them on a routine, she sent us cute photos and comments several times a day. Upon our return, the house was spotless and the dogs were calm and happy. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone.”

“Jaynell was great! She sent regular photos of my pups and kept me updated on how they were doing. I love having peace of mind that they’re ok when I’m gone. They were super happy when I got home too so I know they had fun!”

“Our dog does not like people other than my wife really. But she took to Christine on day one and was climbing into her lap that night. It is such a relief to know someone who gets along with our dog is taking care of them. Would definitely hire again!”
“Cienne took great care of my pups! She stayed at my home and sent lots of updates which I love. My girls looked very happy and comfortable. Will definitely have her over again!”

“Audrey is the best possible housesitter you could have on Rover! I had an extremely last-minute trip and pretty much almost day of Audrey. Let me know her Services could be of use for me. She is extremely communicative, respectful and kind having her as your house sitter would be the best thing for your fur family! 100 out of 10!!!”

“Jessica was communicative and super accommodating when I shortened my trip in the middle of it and came home earlier. Plus her dog Sebastian is awesome and I loved that my more playful pup had a friend!”
About: Hi! I have been providing pet care on and off for over twenty years. I've spent time as a shelter volunteer and even owned my own dog walking business. While I don't have pets of my own, I am a big animal lover and I adore taking care of my friends and neighbors fur babes. I am a full time student, taking classes from home, and hoping to spend my extra time hanging with your pet! I am a full time student with a full semester of online classes which allows me a lot of freedom and a bit of extra time. I generally work from home and don't spend much time away. I'm also an avid walker and love to be outside (when it's not SO hot) whether walking in the neighborhood or out on the trails. I don't have a fenced yard as I live in an apartment complex, but we do have a gated dog run. I have a lot of past experience working with leash training and I'm confident with dogs of all kinds, regardless of reaction levels. I prefer to work with your pet, not against them, and I am adaptable to their specific needs.
“Nancy was absolutely wonderful! She took such great care of puppy while we were away and gave us complete peace of mind. She kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the stay, and it was clear that Onyx was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. She went above and beyond, and we truly appreciated all the love and attention she gave him. I would absolutely book with Nancy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter. Thank you so much, Nancy!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Del Valle
Mia accepted a last minute 5 day stay after another rover sitter cancelled 30hrs before the start of our booking. She was so kind to make a meet and greet work same day. She took great care of Clyde, sent photos and was proactive and promptly responsive with her communication while we were gone, and left our house in great condition — washed our sheets, took out the trash, 0 dirty dishes. 10/10 recommend her for not only great dependable care but also being a lifesaver so last minute. Thank you, Mia!!!

Angelica was fantastic, she updated daily and sent LOTS of pictures of my babies while I was away. It was very reassuring knowing she was there with them and seeing how much love they were getting. She walked my dog multiple times a day and made sure the kitty got his cuddles. I will definitely be using her again next time Im out of town!

Daniela was wonderful with our pets! We felt very comfortable and our dogs loved her from the beginning. She was able to give them medications, stay at our house, and gave them plenty of supervised time outside. Everything was in great condition upon our return. I highly recommend her for your pets needs!
Savannah did a spectacular job watching my 11-year-old lab who recently had a lung lobectomy and is currently experiencing arthritis. She made sure to take her time, carefully and slow slowly walking with June at a pace that worked well for her. Savannah was able to take June on more than three walks every single day and followed all rules perfectly. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and I am so grateful that she was available to step in.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Del Valle walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Del Valle maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Del Valle choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
