We will definitely be using her services again!”

“Amanda was great with my dogs. She did well to care for and treat my dogs like they were her own, which helped me be worry free while out of town. I will definitely be booking with Amanda again. :)”

“Anne was great with our pup Alex and our 2 cats! Very attentive and considerate. Updated us with photos through out our vacation/honeymoon. Left us a card and thoughtful gift congratulating us on our wedding which was very nice to return to. Would highly recommend her house sitting and watching our pup again!”

“Jennifer was awesome! She was able to work with me on a last minute booking and made my animals and myself feel so secure. I would recommend her every time and am looking forward to the next time I take a trip and can rest assured that my babies are safe and happy”

“Cheles was amazing. Kora loved him from the beginning and his energy is great. Cheles even taught her how to shake which was awesome. Throughout the night he kept us updated on how Kora was doing and sent pictures. I would definitely recommend Cheles and will have him sit for us again.”

“Elizabeth was such an amazing caregiver for my three goldendoodles while I was away for several days. She sent me daily updates and I could tell that my dogs were comfortable and happy ♥️ Thank you, Elizabeth! I would absolutely rebook with her!”

“Irving was fabulous. We are RV'ing here in Texas for our granddaughters HS graduation and two weeks ago, lost our oldest dog, Maverick. Oliver, our five month old puppy hasn't been alone since his passing and we were concerned leaving him alone during the graduation ceremony. Irving was a last minute booking and we are so grateful he accepted our request. I couldnt be more pleased. Thank you Irving.”
About: I’ve pet sat for family and friends for many years. From small dogs to Pit bulls and Huskies . Puppies who are still learning how to walk on leashes to senior dogs who are just wanting to cuddle..all dogs deserve kindness and love even if they aren’t my own. I work full time Monday- Thursday, and have my 2 year old doggo with me when I’m working. I wanted to help those who needs someone to walk their dog on Fridays while they’re at work or away for the weekend for business or a quick trip. At home my dog is like my baby. I did a lot of dog training with her when we first got her, so I do know the basics. With others dogs, I want to be able to gain their trust and for them to realize that even though their humans aren’t home they can be trusted with a kind hearted and safe person. Also who doesn’t love to get pets, cuddles and treats ?!
“Samara was the BEST!!! All her sweet photos and cute comments about my little buddy! She took so much great care of him and was very communicative! I definitely will be asking her to watch puck again :-)”
“We had a Angelica stay with our dogs for a week, and we truly can’t say enough good things about our experience. She was absolutely amazing from start to finish, with excellent communication the entire time. What really stood out was how attentive she was, she noticed something unusual in one of our dog’s behavior and reached out to us right away. That level of care meant everything to us and gave us so much peace of mind. We felt completely comfortable knowing our dogs were in such good hands, and it was clear she genuinely cares about the animals she’s watching. We can’t recommend her enough and are already looking forward to having her back!”

“Brittany was able to come last minute to watch my dog while I was out of town for the day. She was very patient and understanding of my old boy and did everything that I asked.”

About: I have owned 3 dogs over the past 20 years. I have watched, walked, and cared for the dogs, cats, birds, turtles, and reptiles. I have trained my own pets and I’m very comfortable meeting new animals. I’m a part-time remotely working licensed realtor so I’ve been fingerprinted and FBI background checked for your safety and peace of mind. I’m currently working part-time from home, mostly on my computer so I have plenty of time to play, walk, and care for your pets. I will carefully adhere to your pets’ schedule, routine, and instructions to make sure your pet has a safe and happy experience in my care.
“Ryan was awesome! He was willing to come out same day for me to watch my dog for an unexpected change of plans, on a holiday weekend too! He took care of my doggo and was respectful and responsive to messages the whole time. I will definitely be rebooking Ryan again in the future.”

About: I’ve been a vet tech since 2021 and am currently continuing my education through the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician program. I currently work 2 days per week at an emergency/specialty hospital in Austin. I’m very comfortable caring for pets of all ages and needs, including seniors, anxious pets, and those requiring medications or a little extra support. I’ve worked with a wide variety of animals throughout my life, including cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, and fish. I’m Fear Free certified and trained in low-stress handling, and I always prioritize making pets feel safe, calm, and comfortable in my care. I’m also RECOVER CPR certified, which means I’m trained in pet CPR and emergency life support. Whether your pet needs medications, extra patience, or just a calm and caring presence, they’ll be in capable hands with me! I have mostly open availability for drop-in visits, house sitting, and night boarding at my own home (reserved only for feline friends). My schedule includes mornings, evenings, and weekends. Pet care is already a huge part of my daily life, so fitting in visits and maintaining consistent routines for your pets comes naturally to me. I do my best to be flexible and will always communicate clearly about availability to make sure your pet receives reliable and consistent care! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. In your home, I aim to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible while providing attentive, low-stress care. I’m trained to monitor for any signs of illness or discomfort and can confidently administer medications, including oral, topical, and injectable treatments if needed. If boarding in my home, I live in a spacious two-story house with a large, fenced backyard. I also have a secure catio for supervised outdoor time for kitties who enjoy it. I always introduce pets slowly and thoughtfully to ensure they feel safe and comfortable in a new environment.
“This was our first time to go on an extended vacation without our pups and we were anxious about leaving them with a stranger. We felt strongly about keeping their days as routinely and comfortable as possible. Nichole formed a trusting bond with both dogs from the very first meeting, and took amazing care of them while we were out of the country. She sent frequent updates and pictures and helped both of the dogs work through their separation anxieties. We would definitely use Nichole again!!”

“Briana did an amazing job taking care of Pickles! She was so active with her and sent us multiple updates while we were away. Not only did we come back to a happy dog but a clean home! Thank you again Briana for an amazing job with Pickles. We definitely recommend her to anyone and will book again :)”

Tasha was amazing. Above and beyond what we expected. She was very communicative, very supportive and respectful. I am also a fellow dog sitter and my first time having someone watch my dogs. She took care of them like they were her own. She would send pictures and videos and you can tell they were so happy and loved on 😊 🥰. We are Definitely going to be booking with her for our next sitting ❤️

This was the second time I’ve booked Serena, and she was great with my blind/deaf dog, Shiola. She was responsive, gave consistent updates, and was very respectful of my home. It’s nice to know that my dog is in good hands when I’m out of town, and I hope I’m able to book her again for my next trip!

Aimee did an amazing job watching our animals during spring break. She sent multiple updates and photos of our Fur babies. We will definitely look into using her again when we go on vacation. It was wonderful to know they all were taken care of and happy with her watching them.
I cannot recommend Kathryn enough!! She has watched my dog 2 different times, each did an AMAZING job! She kept me updated with multiple pictures and the cutest texts about my Opal girl. Super easy to communicate with and always responded so so fast! I definitely recommend booking her for your future Rover Sitter! Thank you SO SO MUCH Kathryn.

Cheles was great. He stayed with my anxious pups at night, and sent lots of pics of happy playtime during the day. He was really communicative and helpful about things like bringing in packages and working around our cleaning service coming by one day. House was well-kept, and the dogs actually looked kind of disappointed when we got home ;)

FAQs for House Sitting - Hutto
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Hutto on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 4,158 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Hutto. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hutto walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hutto maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hutto choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hutto. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
