“10/10 recommend!!!! Kari is AWESOME!! I appreciate her taking my fur baby on walks and giving him all the love and attention while my husband and I were away for the weekend!!”

“I’m so glad I snagged Stephanie!! Last minute trip had me panicked but she was so ameanable and even came over before I booked to meet Chip and check his temper and so I could interview her!! Consistent pictures and great communication while I had spotty reception while camping. I wish I could rave more about her...wait I can. BEST pictures of Chip smiling and laughing and he’s a serious pup!! Loved the details and questions she took in regards to asking about his meals and timing. HIGHLY recommend and I’ll definitely be rebooking soon.”

About: I grew up with an amazing Doberman and 3 wonderful Rottweilers so I love big dogs and have lots of experience working with them. My family had 2 cats and my favorite aunt has had many more throughout her lifetime that I always wanted to go play with. I have through the years also had fish, rabbits, and many friends and family who I've help care for their reptiles(turtles, lizards, snakes, birds) in addition to their fur babies. I'm trying to make animal care my full time job while everyone is at school, so I have all day to care for your pets and home during the week. My home has a very nervous shelter rescue dog so I cannot invite new dogs in, but I have house/pet sat for many friends and families through the years and always had happy results. I understand every animal has individual needs and I strive to accommodate that, along with always trying to leave a place as nice as if not better than I found it.
“Elisabeth took great care of our two kitties while we were away on a 2-week vacation. I requested an update each day from her visits and looked forward to hearing how our girls were doing. Elizabeth followed all of the instructions we left and was very respectful of our home. I definitely recommend Elizabeth for daily drop-in visits for cats.”

“Maggie is amazing! Reliable, prompt, and so kind with our fur babies. And they definitely love her as well... even our shy one thay wants nothing to do with anyone. If you're reading this, HIRE HER!!”

“Used Jacqueline for my wedding day to drop in and check on my dogs and she was amazing! They were all tired out and also had her company. Would definitely recommend her and use her again.”

About: I'm a veterinary technician, I have 20 yrs experience in taking care of dogs and cats. I am CPR certified and I can administer medications if needed. Besides my medical background as a animal lover, I can offer great companionship to your best friend while your gone. I currently have a 7 month old Australian shepherd who loves to play and can also offer friendship. I've been taking care of my friends and family's pets while they go on vacation since I was 19 yrs old. I'm confident in my ability to take care of dogs. I'm currently not working and staying home with our kids and animals. I walk our dog in the morning then hang out the rest of the day, my kids play with our dog. I live on 5 acres but we have fenced off an area behind our house for our dog and goats. I have a plastic kid pool to help them stay cool in the summer. I typically feed my pets twice a day and a treat mid-day. My house can get pretty loud with my kids yell and screaming when then play. My kids are 10 yr (son) and 9 yrs(daughter) old, I have a husband who loves to play with the kids and dog, it can get a little crazy at our house. I also have a 7 month old mini Australian shepherd, she is a shy girl at first but then gets crazy when she decides she likes you. I have 5 cats some like dogs and some tolerate them and just judge. I also have 2 goats in the backyard, they are very nice but will give a warning if something happens that they don't like. All my pets have vaccines and have been dewormed.
“Selena did an outstanding job taking care of my two pups. During our meet and greet, she took careful notes and asked questions. My dogs were in such a good mood (not stressed) when I arrived home. That confirmed to me they were well cared for while I was gone. I would recommend Selena and would request her again.”

“Sophia was amazing. She treated our tortellini with the most care. 🐢💚 She was dependable, attentive, and followed all of his care instructions perfectly. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands while we were away. She even took the time to send updates, which we really appreciated. Tortellini was happy and well cared for when we got home. We would absolutely trust Sophia with him again and highly recommend her!”

“Second time booking Ann and our dog absolutely adores her! She was so kind to get him a toy when she watched him during Thanksgiving break, how sweet! My husband and I feel so comfortable when Ann watches are pup and will continue to book her when we are out of town. Can’t recommend her enough(:”
“Katie was a godsend to me. I had total peace of mind. Katie sent pictures of my 2 dogs and they absolutely loved her. Addie had to have medicine and it was given to her in a timely manner. I would definitely have Katie watch my Addie and Lily again.”

“Melisa and Alaysia are heaven sent! Our Minnie girl is like one of our kids and they live on her so much and are for her like their own. Minnie loves them. We feel so comfy going out of town with them watching Minnie. This time literally just a few hours before our flight we had to take Minnie to vet and she was put on meds. They were able to give her the meds while we were gone with ease and care! Soooo thankful we found the Mom/Daughter duo !!”

“Rebecca is amazing! She took great care of both my dog and cat. All the instructions I provided were followed (even the quirky needs of my cat) and she maintained a consistent schedule for them while i was away. Both my pets warmed up to her early on and I can tell they felt taken care of and actually miss her. Rebecca went above and beyond by loving on my fur babies and even took care of extra things I did not even mention. Thank you Rebecca!”

On top of that from the moment she walked in my house she got on the floor and was playing with my dogs. I can leave knowing they are with someone who loves them and will keep them safe. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
