Five stars for Jacqueline! She walks Toby 4 times a week for 1 month now and she brings so much peace of mind. Reading her sweet comments and seeing Toby's pictures makes it feel like I'm on their walk. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing he is so genuinely loved and cared for while I’m away. 🦮🐾

We re-booked Allison for the second time, to care for our Australian Cattle Dog Mays. We scheduled her to do three drop in visits per day for 8 days, plus one drop in visit on the morning after we were scheduled to return from a week long vacation. Loved her communication, timeliness, responsiveness and care for our Mays. Really appreciated the real time information about her visits, as well as his responses, all confirmed with adorable pictures! He was so happy and we could just tell that he was very comfortable with Allison and loved being home instead of at a kennel. We trust Allison and will continue to book her without any reservations!!! We consider ourselves very very lucky to have found Allison!

Alex is absolutely INCREDIBLE. She is so patient and understanding. My dog Ziva is a little more than a handful. She’s anxious with strangers especially when they come into our house. Alex didn’t miss a beat and allowed Ziva to warm up and practiced some obedience drills to warm up my girl a little bit. Not to mention she had two other dogs screaming at her, too. She not only walked, but enriched my dog. Ziva came home fulfilled and tired, ready to have good behavior for the rest of the day. If you have a nervous or slightly reactive dog, and are unsure about hiring someone to help you manage them, I HIGHLY recommend Alex to you.

About: I have grown up around animals and currently have two cats and two dogs. I am very comfortable keeping pets entertained and well cared for. I am unable to board pets at my house but am available for walks, check ins, and house sitting. I have a very open schedule most days and would love to fill it with animal care! I can also take on repeat check-ins and walks. My dogs are very spoiled. One is very cuddly and one is on the go non stop. I enjoy utilizing enrichment activities for my pups. My cats are both very social and love to play but I grew up with cats and understand how quickly a cat can choose that they want space instead. I plan on providing the same care and attention I do for my pets for yours. If I were to house sit, id follow instructions provided and be very respectful to your home.

About: I’ve been a vet tech since 2021 and am currently continuing my education through the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician program. I currently work 2 days per week at an emergency/specialty hospital in Austin. I’m very comfortable caring for pets of all ages and needs, including seniors, anxious pets, and those requiring medications or a little extra support. I’ve worked with a wide variety of animals throughout my life, including cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, and fish. I’m Fear Free certified and trained in low-stress handling, and I always prioritize making pets feel safe, calm, and comfortable in my care. I’m also RECOVER CPR certified, which means I’m trained in pet CPR and emergency life support. Whether your pet needs medications, extra patience, or just a calm and caring presence, they’ll be in capable hands with me! I have mostly open availability for drop-in visits, house sitting, and night boarding at my own home (reserved only for feline friends). My schedule includes mornings, evenings, and weekends. I’m very flexible, so please feel free to message me even if you see a block on my calendar. Pet care is already a huge part of my daily life, so fitting in visits and maintaining consistent routines for your pets comes naturally to me. I do my best to be flexible and will always communicate clearly about availability to make sure your pet receives reliable and consistent care! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. In your home, I aim to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible while providing attentive, low-stress care. I’m trained to monitor for any signs of illness or discomfort and can confidently administer medications, including oral, topical, and injectable treatments if needed. If boarding in my home, I live in a spacious two-story house with a large, fenced backyard. I also have a secure catio for supervised outdoor time for kitties who enjoy it. I always introduce pets slowly and thoughtfully to ensure they feel safe and comfortable in a new environment.

About: Since I was very young I've volunteered at animal shelters as a dog room attendant, walker, play buddy, foster family as well as have assisted in fundraising events for shelters. I have experience with all ages and personalities! So all pups are welcome! Your pup(s) will be with a friend and in safe hands with me at all times. They will always be treated as if they were my own while in my care! I'd love the opportunity to take them on a walk and/or keep them company until you're able to return home to them. Currently I have availability on weekdays from 10am to 4pm. I can accommodate times outside of those hours based on my availability. I’m unavailable on Saturdays unless it’s for an overnight stay or drop in. I have limited availability on Sundays. My goal is always to make the pet feel comfortable, safe, and reassured. I'm there to take care of them and to be a friend for them while their person(s) are away. I'm there to keep your furry family member happy and calm so they don’t feel uneasy with their people away. Where I go on walks with your pup(s) will be dependent on your preference or desired location. I will cater to where you feel the most comfortable for me to take your furry friend on a walk.

About: I have always had at least one dog in the family since I was a baby. Medium and small dogs mainly, though some large. I do have experience with puppies. Currently not working and am fully available to care for pets, I will be resuming college courses in Spring 2027. I may pick up a part time position during Fall 2026, so availability may change. I am capable of walking dogs, feeding them, and giving them water. Cleaning up any accidents made in my absence, and playing are also in my skill set.

About: I grew up with an amazing Doberman and 3 wonderful Rottweilers so I love big dogs and have lots of experience working with them. My family had 2 cats and my favorite aunt has had many more throughout her lifetime that I always wanted to go play with. I have through the years also had fish, rabbits, and many friends and family who I've help care for their reptiles(turtles, lizards, snakes, birds) in addition to their fur babies. I'm trying to make animal care my full time job while everyone is at school, so I have all day to care for your pets and home during the week. My home has a very nervous shelter rescue dog so I cannot invite new dogs in, but I have house/pet sat for many friends and families through the years and always had happy results. I understand every animal has individual needs and I strive to accommodate that, along with always trying to leave a place as nice as if not better than I found it.

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
