My dog absolutely LOVED Kimmie from the very first meeting. And my pup can be somewhat reserved around new people so that told me all I needed to know about Kimmie’s ability to connect to pets. Kimmie is very professional, reliable and trustworthy. I would highly recommend her.

About: I am a true dog lover. I work retail and actually love seeing and playing with all the dogs that come in rather than dealing with the customers. I have owned two black labs at different times in life. They kept me in shape and taught me how to spend much needed time with them ( they are very active and loyal dogs who love to spend every waking moment with you.) I don't have children but my lab is like my child. I watched my best friends dogs at various times, one of them had a list of medicines it had to take at various times of day and one with a seizure disorder who needed close watch. This is my true love in life, spending time with dogs. I have mornings available and mid to later evenings available. My schedule varies because I’m in retail but I always have time to fit in a walk or drop in early morning or mid to later evening . Pets in home are allowed in main living area and fences backyard. I can stay at owners residence if needed . Drop ins are also part of my service

About: I have owned 3 dogs over the past 20 years. I have watched, walked, and cared for the dogs, cats, birds, turtles, and reptiles. I have trained my own pets and I’m very comfortable meeting new animals. About: All God's Creatures Great and Small....gotta love them all . I have experience caring for sheep , chickens and exotics. 10 years experience working with Research Pet and Bird Hospital skills include... some surgeries, post operative care, feeding, walking, front desk, administration of meds, vaccines , 10 years experience working with Animal Rescue in Austin , skills include intensive care of sick and wounded animals, intensive research in best feeding and handling procedures including mandatory classes , bottlefeeding wild baby animals, and release, and 20 plus years experience loving and spoiling my own pets. I've raised squirrels from newborn to adult, several wild and exotic birds ,cared for dogs and cats, hamsters. Love ferrets!! I'm also a retired school teacher 17 years. I am a positive reward oriented caretaker. Loving and caring for animals has been my life's joy. I always consider the needs of the specific pet and the wishes of the owner. I love to spend time cuddling, feeding, playing , walking , grooming , and pampering my own pet and will do the same for yours. I am currently self employed so I have plenty of time to care for your pets needs. I offer drop in and walking services and I am very flexible. I will also house sit and I prefer 3- 4 day stays. When I’m house sitting I try to stay as close to the owners schedule as possible. I like to have an info sheet on when and what your pup eats, what time they go out for a walk or to play, whether they sleep on your bed or in a special bed for them, favorite toys or games they play with you. I try to fill their day with activities….munching Nyla bones, playing in a baby pool, PB Kong treats, playing ball outside, going on walks, watching Beverly Hills Chihuahua, rubdowns and grooming. The same activities apply to drop in visits . When I’m walking them , they have a leash or harness on , I’m weary of other dogs or animals in the neighborhood, I reinforce your special commands while walking, bring a water bottle for them, and bring treats . I am always watchful for any situation that would possibly be harmful.

About: Since I was a young girl, I have always been fascinated by animals—particularly dogs. I begged my parents to get me my first pet—Jasper, a rescued Labrador retriever—at age 7. Taking care of Jasper was my main focus as well the odd assortment of fish and hamsters we had. When Jasper passed, and I graduated high school, my next door neighbor had a litter of golden retriever puppies. I was ready to have another animal, and that’s when Kensie came into my life. Kensie was my soul dog, and she passed away two years ago. We did everything together—going to dog parks around town, Zilker park, and even red bud (before the algae), and going to dog-friendly establishments in Austin. She was my best friend. Unfortunately, her last few months on earth were extremely challenging. I was up with her three to four times a night (sometimes more), administering multiple medications, and helping her stand/walk. When the time came to say goodbye, I could barely make the decision to let her go. I miss her so much, but because of my current living situation, don’t have the opportunity to get another dog. That’s where Rover comes in. I love animals, and am extremely responsible when it comes to taking care of someone’s pet. This will give me my ‘fix’ and also be a productive side hustle for me. It will be an honor to walk//watch your pet. I will give the very care and concern I gave my own pets. Not only have I had my own pets, but I have experience with a variety of breeds—including catahoulas and boxers. As mentioned above, I have extensive experience working with senior dogs and administering medication. I’m currently in a transition phase in my life, and am looking for something productive and rewarding. I have pretty much limitless availability to cater to whatever your dog may need. At the moment, I can’t accept any dogs into my home, but if given the opportunity to stay at a client’s house, I would follow all instructions given while simultaneously respecting the space and showering your dog with love and attention.

About: I have grown up around animals and currently have two cats and two dogs. I am very comfortable keeping pets entertained and well cared for. I am unable to board pets at my house but am available for walks, check ins, and house sitting. I have a very open schedule most days and would love to fill it with animal care! I can also take on repeat check-ins and walks. My dogs are very spoiled. One is very cuddly and one is on the go non stop. I enjoy utilizing enrichment activities for my pups. My cats are both very social and love to play but I grew up with cats and understand how quickly a cat can choose that they want space instead. I plan on providing the same care and attention I do for my pets for yours. If I were to house sit, id follow instructions provided and be very respectful to your home.

About: I have been responsible for caring for pets from a young age through my own animals, which helped me develop a strong love and understanding for pets of all kinds. For the past three years, I have also provided pet care services for many wonderful families in my community. I am experienced with daily care routines such as feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic medications, and providing plenty of attention. I am also comfortable caring for multiple pets at once! I’ll always strive to make your pets feel safe and loved while you are away. I am currently home from school for the summer, so I have open availability throughout the week and on weekends. I love spending time with animals and I have plenty of time to stay or stop by for visits, walks, feeding, or whatever else your fur babies may need while you’re away! While caring for pets in their home, I try to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable awhile their owners are away. I can follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any other specific care needs. I also make sure pets receive plenty of attention as they like. In addition to caring for your pets, I will treat your home with the utmost respect. I will keep it clean, secure, and exactly as you left it. I want to ensure your peace of mind knowing your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: I've had pets for about 7 years - raised two Huskies from puppies, and after moving out on my own I started taking care of cats. I currently have three cats at home. Friends and family have counted on me to feed, walk, and look after their pets when they're away. I'm comfortable handling both small and large dogs, and I know bigger breeds like Huskies need a lot more exercise and stimulation than most. With cats, I deal with them every single day, so I know when they're just being moody and when something's actually wrong. My schedule is very flexible - I'm taking online classes this summer, but they're all self-paced with no set class times, so I can work around any pet care needs throughout the day. I'm available on weekdays and weekends, and I can easily adjust to fit your pet's routine! For drop-in visits and dog walking, I always make sure to follow the owner's instructions and keep the pet's normal routine as close as possible. I double-check doors, gates, and leashes before anything else - especially with bigger dogs. I grew up with two Huskies, so I know how important it is to keep large, energetic dogs secure and properly managed. I'll send updates and photos during every visit so you always know how your pet is doing!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 5,521 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Weir. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Weir. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Weir.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Weir. On Rover:

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
