Josh just started walking my 9 year old pup. He took the time to do a meet and greet and get my old gal use to him. She was already so excited to see him today when for her first walk with him. He takes lots of pics and provides great information. He kind and gentle with animals and is so sweet! Thank you Josh!

About: As a kid I was taught responsibility by caring for our horses, cats, dogs, birds, fish and guinea pigs. I’ve had pets all my life! My mom’s cat almost died of a bacterial infection in her mouth and I’ve helped administer antibiotics to her until she got better. I had a cat who had kidney disease and needed to have IV fluids every week. My other cat had to be mouth fed with a syringe as well as monitored via thermometer up his butt. I have house and pet sit for friends and family that have multiple pets, most recently for a friend that had 6 dogs of all sizes! I am an active individual so walking will be a treat for them and me! :) I have given dogs and cats baths and also cared for dogs in heat. I have a very open and wide range of availability and I am available most days, including weekends and holidays as I rarely ever go out of town. It would be great to develop some long term relationships with new pets and their owners! Repeats are always great but not expected. I will do what I can to work with your schedule and the needs of you and your fur child. I will do my best to maintain consistency and high-level care when it comes to your pet. Each pet is different and I try to get to know each one individually in order to gain their trust and yours and provide the best care possible. Often times, I will send pictures to the pet owner, especially if it is a new client or a pet owner is out of town for an extended amount of time. I am easily reachable and try to communicate clearly about wants, needs, and scheduling. I prefer to do a meet and greet prior to providing a service, but it is not mandatory, especially for last minute bookings! We have a small yard in front and neighbors that will walk their dogs but they are all on leashes and well behaved. We live in a newer and safe community and I often take my dog for a walk around the neighborhood. There is a small park down the street which is nice too. We also have a fenced in backyard which can be seen from the inside of the house or the porch. We live in a one story house, but there are steps from the porch to the yard outback. My husband lives with me and has also grown up with cats and dogs. We currently have one male cat Santiago who gets along great with our male Chihuahua Juan Pablo and also got along great with my former senior Maine coon cat. He is a bit weary of strangers at first, but he will just hide until he gets to know you a bit and then you won’t be able to get him off of your lap. We have a gate in between the kitchen and the rest of the house so that the Chihuahua can have free rain to walk around and not have to be in his cage when we are not home. In the event that we have another animal in the house we can keep the Chihuahua in his cage. We also have two bedrooms and two baths that can be used to separate animals. The Chihuahua is very friendly and gets along great with the cat. He is also a bit skittish at first with strangers but once he gets to know you all he wants to do is give you kisses. He is very non-aggressive and barely ever barks. He is also very friendly. I feed my cat both wet and dry food twice a day in his food dish and he has water out constantly. I feed the dog twice a day, sometimes dry food, and sometimes refrigerated dog food. I let the dog out several times a day and we go for a daily walk as well. I clean the kitty litter box once a day. I snuggle and cuddle with both of them as much as possible, and play fetch with the dog at various points throughout the day.

About: State pet adoption CEO hired me! Many years of experience with dogs, cats, hamsters, sugar gliders, and other pets. Reliable. Integrity matters! Fostering experience. #pickme Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I enjoy being active and spending time with animals. I plan my schedule to ensure pets receive consistent attention, exercise, feeding, and companionship throughout the day. Whether it's walks, playtime, potty breaks, or simply providing comfort and care, I make pets a priority and enjoy incorporating their needs into my everyday activities. The only time I’m not available os Sunday mornings (church-my husband’s a minister). I care for pets in their own home by maintaining their normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any special instructions. About: I’ve lived on a ranch all my life so I have tons of experience with animals. My dad trained horses and dogs, I’ve grown up watching him. When I’m sad my dog brings me joy. Animals have never let me down. As of right now I have no job this summer but I did apply to be a day care worker from 8:30 to 5:30 Monday through Friday. I live on a ranch. One of my dogs live inside and the rest of my animals are all ranch animals. I have tons of different fencing options around my house. One of my dogs are overweight so she is on a diet, I understand what dogs can and can’t have.

Tamaria is an excellent dog walker. She is consistent and reliable. She takes several pictures each time she walks my dog and it looks like my dog is living her best life during her walks. My dog loves seeing Tamaria everyday and I love that she is reliable so I don’t have to worry if my dog is getting her potty break when I’m at work. I recommend Tamaria if you need a reliable and trustworthy dog walker.

About: Hey! I’m Jess, and dogs basically run my life (in the best way). 🐶💛 I’ve cared for dogs of all kinds, including big, small, purebreds, mutts, puppies, seniors, even diabetic or epileptic pups. I work at a boarding and daycare facility, and I even get to hang out with K9s in training, so I know how to handle high-energy, smart, and sometimes stubborn dogs. Feeding, bathing, cleaning up messes, exercising, monitoring behavior. I do it all, and I do it with love! I’m all about communication. I’ll send pics, updates, and cute texts so you know your pup is happy, safe, and having a blast. I’m trained in pet CPR, first aid, and know all the warning signs to look out for. While I don’t bring dogs to my home, I’ll work with them wherever they’re comfortable. I’m flexible, reliable, and genuinely love making each dog feel like the goodest boy or girl in the world. I work part-time shifts (3.5–6.5 hours), so I schedule visits and walks around my job. Dogs get consistent attention, play, and exercise while you’re away. I care for pets in their own space so they feel comfortable and stress-free; feeding, walking, playing, and giving attention. I follow your instructions and adapt to each dog’s personality.

About: Since I was a young girl, I have always been fascinated by animals—particularly dogs. I begged my parents to get me my first pet—Jasper, a rescued Labrador retriever—at age 7. Taking care of Jasper was my main focus as well the odd assortment of fish and hamsters we had. When Jasper passed, and I graduated high school, my next door neighbor had a litter of golden retriever puppies. I was ready to have another animal, and that’s when Kensie came into my life. Kensie was my soul dog, and she passed away two years ago. We did everything together—going to dog parks around town, Zilker park, and even red bud (before the algae), and going to dog-friendly establishments in Austin. She was my best friend. Unfortunately, her last few months on earth were extremely challenging. I was up with her three to four times a night (sometimes more), administering multiple medications, and helping her stand/walk. When the time came to say goodbye, I could barely make the decision to let her go. I miss her so much, but because of my current living situation, don’t have the opportunity to get another dog. That’s where Rover comes in. I love animals, and am extremely responsible when it comes to taking care of someone’s pet. This will give me my ‘fix’ and also be a productive side hustle for me. It will be an honor to walk//watch your pet. I will give the very care and concern I gave my own pets. Not only have I had my own pets, but I have experience with a variety of breeds—including catahoulas and boxers. As mentioned above, I have extensive experience working with senior dogs and administering medication. I’m currently in a transition phase in my life, and am looking for something productive and rewarding. I have pretty much limitless availability to cater to whatever your dog may need. At the moment, I can’t accept any dogs into my home, but if given the opportunity to stay at a client’s house, I would follow all instructions given while simultaneously respecting the space and showering your dog with love and attention.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
