“Abigail provided unbelievable care for our kitten and provided excellent communication. We were super nervous to leave our adopted kitten with a sitter but Abigail checked on her often and with the photo and video updates we felt much more at ease.”

“I can’t recommend Ellee enough! She took such wonderful care of my cats while I was away and gave me complete peace of mind. She was reliable, communicative, and sent thoughtful updates with photos that made me feel connected even from a distance. My cats were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when I got home, which says everything. She went above and beyond by paying attention to their individual personalities and making sure they felt comfortable and loved. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and genuinely passionate about animals, Elle is the perfect choice. I’ll absolutely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Jacqueline is very responsible. I’ve used her for drop in visits on multiple occasions now and she takes great care of my dog. She uses the full Rover service with start and end notifications for her visits and lots of pictures. She also always provides me a warm and cheerful summary of how the visit went. She really does treat my dog like it’s her own when she visits. She is very timely with her arrival times for the visitations even though I told her it can be flexible. She’s not a minute late at arriving and kicking off the visit. Lastly she is quick to respond and accept new requests if she is available. I don’t know how she is with cats, probably great as well 😅, but I do know Jax is the best dog caregiver!”

“Thank you for loving Maxwell so much! He definitely loves you even though he does t show it but he loves the company since I can’t be home during the day. By far best sitter ever and he’s going to miss you when we move next month ❤️”
“My dog Rosie does not warm up to people easily and she can be very particular about meeting strangers. Rosie warmed up to Kellie very quickly and I felt so much relief knowing Rosie felt safe and secure with her right away. I can tell from the photos Kellie sends how happy Rosie is during their drop ins. I will be going to Kellie anytime I need a sitter!”

I live with one other adult (male) and a 1 year old miniature Border Collie. The Border Collie is well trained and plays well with other dogs.
“Ann took such good care of our kittens! She provided so much peace of mind for us while we were away from them. Ann went above and beyond to provide loving care for our cats. We would definitely recommend her!”

“So thankful to have found Ryan. He is very professional, has a very calm demeanor and came to the Meet-and-Greet ready to make friends with Wallace, treats in hand. He was very communicative, sent updates and photos, and executed all of Wallace’s needs without hesitation. We would definitely book with Ryan again!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and have experience with medications and other special needs your pet may have. I love loving on dogs and love to enrich their time with bubbles or other activities like sniff and seek. The dogs will hang out with me, go on walks twice daily walks, play bubbles or play fetch, or swim if your dog is interested! We also love naps in our house and overall have a great time. I have a dog park and walking trail at my apartment. I have a dog wash and would be happy to bathe your dog before their return. I have a 4 year old golden retriever who is well-socialized and loves to make new friends. I also make homemade dog treats :)

About: I have always had at least one dog in the family since I was a baby. Medium and small dogs mainly, though some large. I do have experience with puppies. Currently not working and am fully available to care for pets, I will be resuming college courses in Spring 2027. I may pick up a part time position during Fall 2026, so availability may change. I am capable of walking dogs, feeding them, and giving them water. Cleaning up any accidents made in my absence, and playing are also in my skill set.
“Sariena is so caring and kind to our senior cat, Sophie! She’s also been incredibly flexible and patient with our schedule constantly changing. During her visit she also was very communicative and left great pictures and detailed notes. We’re so happy we found her! Thank you for everything!”

“Darla was amazing with our dog while we were on vacation. It was my first time booking with Rover and she was so patient and walked me through the process. She went above and beyond while taking care of our Whiskey. I can’t say enough good things. We are so thankful for such a great first experience because of her.”
“Sierra was great from our meet and greet to the drop in visits for our weekend getaway. I would definitely use her again for my sweet Cleo she paid attention to her needs and made sure she got lots of love while I was gone, I can’t thank her enough for her time!”

“Thank you for being so caring and thorough with our babies! And hauling in all those packages. Just to let you know, Tuck is ok. He has rhinitis and reverse sneezes often. It is disconcerting to see and I apologize for not telling you. I could could not figure out on the app how to message you back. We would love to have you sit for us again, if you are willing. Have a great rest of your week!”

“Erin took fantastic care of our dogs and we will continue to hire him in the future. He is very responsive, thorough, and great to work with. I know the dogs enjoy when he stops by, too!! I feel like they are in great hands with Erin.”

About: Hi there! My name is Isabella (but you can also call me Izzy) and I am a 24 year old from Fort Worth, Texas now living in the Georgetown area! I started doing pet sitting and drop in care accidentally a few years ago for some coworkers and it just blossomed into a part time job I love doing! I enjoy getting to meet new pets big and small and of course I'm happy to make the lives of pet owners a little less stressful. I have a three year old kitty myself and understand what it's like to worry about being away from them whether its just during the workday or during travel. I currently work as a veterinary technician as well so I consider myself generally well equipped to care for pets who may need a little extra time and love! Message me anytime between 7am and 10 pm and I'll respond as quickly as possible. I look forward to working with you! I work 4 days generally from 8-6 latest (4 on Saturdays) but also get an hour break halfway through the day. I strive to check in and walk pets I am house sitting with at least 3 times a day (more if possible) so they can have enough exercise and stimulation! I ensure that when I am in a clients home that all pets are safe and content both when I arrive and when I leave! I am also happy to send updates and pictures as needed so pet parents can see how their babies are doing while they are being watched!
About: I have two dogs at home and have cared for one since he was around 4 weeks old and the other is a rescue that has been with me since he was 2 years old, both of them are 5 now and the rescue was hard to gain the trust of but I was the first in my family that he trusted and goes to when he's scared. I currently attend Southwestern University in Georgetown. Due to classes I am available primarily on the weekends and on Fridays. Although during weekdays I can help pet-sit in the evening, it truly depends on the day though. I care for the pets at my home and others' pets by mainly giving the animals the space/boundaries they need or want. I think it's important to read and understand their body language to properly care for not only the animals but also yourself.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Georgetown
Debbie has been wonderful with our Italian Greyhound, Piper! Piper is high-energy but incredibly lovable, and she clearly adores Debbie. Debbie is always quick to respond and has been so helpful and accommodating, especially when we’ve needed a sitter on short notice. We feel very comfortable leaving Piper in her care and really appreciate how dependable and caring she is. We highly recommend Debbie and will definitely continue booking with her!

Heather is so responsible and a great sitter. She takes care of each pet, and even notified us that she had seen our missing kitty, who made an appearance during our brief absence, but did not come in. We were able to bring him back in when we returned home. We're very appreciative of Heather's care!
Kira did an absolutely, fantastic job. Showed up for the 10 visits on time, everytime. Sent photos of my dogs each and every visit. I trusted her in my home and she proved herself to be trustworthy. I am so completely satisfied and will inquire her services again in the future. I recommend Miss Kira to anyone looking for a great pet sitter. Thank you, Kira.

Abigail is an excellent sitter and a true pet lover! I was in a bit of a time crunch, and she confirmed her availability quickly, which I really appreciated. Her communication was great, and I had complete peace of mind while I was away knowing my cat was in such good hands. Highly recommended

Alicia was amazing with Charlie, especially while he was dealing with medical issues during my trip. She kept me updated, monitored him closely, and handled everything with so much care and calm. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such capable hands. I’m incredibly grateful and would absolutely book her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
