Hello, fellow animal lovers! My name is Abigail, and taking care of dogs is my passion. When I’m not working with my Rover clients, I’m at the shelter, where I primarily work with fear-reactive and highly unsocialized dogs. I have worked with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, and I understand that it takes some dogs longer to warm up to new people. I am happy to do meet-and-greets and take the time to slowly build that trust and relationship. The first meet-and-greet is always free! Before accepting a booking, I will ask for detailed information regarding your dog's behavior, especially on walks. I make sure to know their triggers so I can avoid things that might make them anxious or reactive. If your dog has shown guarding/reactive behavior in the past, please let me know before we meet! If you are upfront with me about their needs and challenges, we can navigate them together and make sure that everyone has a safe, fun visit. Please note that I am a big believer in fear-free, force-free training, and I am not comfortable using shock or prong collars.
