Pet care experience

Lover of all furry friends!

I’ve had pets my whole life, mostly grew up with cats and dogs, but we definitely had our fair share of exotic animals around. Fish, turtles, snakes, sugar gliders, lizards,… right now I have two Yorkies myself, an indoor, Bunny, and 15 chickens. I’ve taken care of most pets before and have TONS of experience with pets who needs meds (injections, oral) or just need close monitoring. I cared for my bunny around the clock when she got sick several years ago (she recovered thankfully) so I’m very comfortable with animals needing extra care. I will always prioritize your wishes when it comes to caring for your pets! I’m detail oriented and will always send updates and photos to ease your mind.

Courtney was wonderful with our 3 French bulldogs. I came home to them relaxed and happy. I will be reaching out to ask Courtney to sit for them in the future.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I work from home, so I’m lucky enough that I get to keep a close eye on our pets through the day. I take them out together in our fenced yard to make sure they are safe. **i do not book 60 minute visits ** I usually can make same day bookings work, but there will be a last minute request fee of $8 added to the price of the booking.

Safety, trust & environment

I am very detail oriented and considerate when in other peoples homes. I myself know how much I love to get updates when I am away, so I will try not to ever forget to send a detailed update with photos! I will frequently reference your specific instructions to make sure your rules are followed. , and I will leave everything as it was when I came in. If your pup is staying in our home they are treated like our own. We don’t mind dogs on our bed or couch (as long as our couch covers are on, lol) and they will get fed on time, given treats and lots of love! We do prefer if your pet is crate trained (only for when I need to leave the house for a short period of time). It’s easiest when there are multiple dogs being cared for. I can work with non crate trained dogs, but potty training is a MUST!

Pets

A typical day

We have a very large backyard, they could easily play independently or play with our dogs that we have in our home. We have toys everywhere in the house so we are always engaged with the dogs if we have downtime.

It’s definitely helpful to know if your pet is food or toy aggressive, If it likes to be picked up or if there’s anything that usually startles the pet. Also, good to know if the dog barks a lot if left alone for any amount of time. (Separation anxiety etc)
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
