“Leah provided top notch flexible and affordable care for our three boys. With a changing work schedule and one of us out of town we needed someone who would be willing to look after and spend time with our boys and was ok with changes to the agreeded upon schedule. Leah was caring and responsive throughout the week and made a very turbulent five days run much smoother than expected.”

“First time to use rover and very impressed! Thanks to Adeleine for making it so easy for us to trust someone who can really take care of our fur babies! Communication from the very beginning has been wonderful - she responds quickly! The photos she sent showed how much our fur babies enjoyed her company! Will be using rover again and will be working again with Adeleine! Thank you again Adeleine and Rover!!!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 10 years and truly love being around animals. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets while they’re away. I’m patient, attentive, and make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels, including puppies and older dogs who need a little extra care. I’m happy to follow any specific routines or instructions to keep your pet happy and stress-free. I have a pretty flexible schedule right now, so I’m able to give pets a lot of attention. I’m available most weekdays and weekends and can easily work around your pet’s normal routine to keep things consistent and stress-free. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow all care instructions closely and make sure your pet feels secure, calm, and cared for at all times. I’m attentive to behavior, routines, and any special needs, and I provide updates so you have peace of mind while you’re away. I also treat your home with respect and keep everything clean and secure.
“This was my first time using Rover and I'm so glad I found Stacy. She was great with my dog Barkley and turtle Dave. The check in reports and pics were helpful and reassuring that my boys were being well cared for. Stacy is a great communicator and very dependable. I'm definitely going to reach out to her again when I travel. **5 stars**”

“Erika was amazing! She is very kind and responds quickly. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful sitter for my dog who you can tell truly cares about animals! 10/10 would recommend and I will be booking with Erika in the future!!”

“She was so kind and took extra time to ensure her potty break and kept me well informed. I really appreciated her attention to details. Her communication was excellent”

“Yung-Chu C was absolutely wonderful to work with and took excellent care of our tiny tortie cat, iO. She followed all the instructions and was communicative and friendly. The daily pictures of iO were super adorable and appreciated. Yung-Chu C. is awesome and the whole experience set us at ease to see how comfortable iO was with her while we were away. We will definitely hire her again when we need to travel!”
“Suzanna was outstanding, and we will definitely call on her again. We have a kitty-cat with hyperthyroidism, so we have to give her daily medication to keep her levels in check. Suzanna made arrangements to come over and see the process before the appointment, which definitely set our minds at ease. From the very first contact, her communication was top-notch, and we felt like our Xena was in excellent hands the whole time we were away. Thank you, Suzanna, for giving us peace of mind and for being such an awesome sitter! (Xena says thank you, too!😺)”

“Melissa was our dog sitter for the weekend. She was quick to respond in communication, Sending us pictures of the dogs while we were gone. Making me feel very reassured. I highly recommend Melissa and she will be kept in our list of people to call. Thank you Melissa”
“Melissa did a fantastic job caring for our two dogs. Since she was dropping in each morning and night, she was consistently arriving early each morning to let them out and then later in the evening. She spent time with them, and even watered our flowers. We are thankful for her conscientiousness in our home and great work with our dogs.”

“Karen is my go-to sitter for my cats. She did check-ins twice a day and treated them with so much love and care. I was particularly impressed by the value she provides; her rates are very reasonable, but her level of service is high-end. She was even able to adjust her schedule when I arrived home early. If you want someone you can truly count on, book Karen.”

“Chelsey was awesome checking in on Murph while I was out of town. She sent pics and descriptions of each visit which was very reassuring to me because it was my first time not boarding him. Murphy loves her and I felt very comfortable having him in her care. I will definitely be using her again!!”

About: I have worked and shadowed in veterinary clinics/rehabs and pet boarding/daycare facilities, I volunteer sometimes at my local animal shelter, I am currently in college studying kinesiology to do canine rehabilitation, and I also sit and walk my family friends dogs and cats occasionally. I am currently working part-time at a pet boarding/daycare facility called Paws Landing, so I will have plenty of time to dog/cat sit or walk! My shifts for my current job are 5:30am-1:30pm and 1:30pm-9:30pm so it just depends when I work to know when I am available. I chose my own hours at my job so I can totally work around my schedule to fit you in! In client’s homes, I take the time to understand your pet’s needs, behavior cues, and comfort zones. I will make sure to follow every feeding and medication instructions precisely, and make sure there is no changes in behavior or health with your baby. As I said before, I work at a pet boarding facility so I know how to see changes in behavior and health, and I am used to feeding and administering medication to dogs and cats. I will also keep your home nice and clean, just the way I found it.

About: Passionate pet lover and dependable dog walker ready to give your pups the exercise, enrichment, and attention they crave! Growing up with medium-sized dogs gave me a strong foundation in handling energetic, playful pups, while my hippotherapy rotation in graduate school deepened my understanding of animal behavior, movement, and the powerful bond between pets and people. I offer attentive, personalized walks tailored to your dog’s energy level, personality, and needs — always with safety, positive reinforcement, and plenty of fun (and belly rubs!) at the forefront. I treat every dog like my own and bring calm, reliable care to every outing. Bark! I work a flexible full time job from 9-5, Tuesday-Friday with occasional availability during the day. Sherron did an amazing job taking care of our senior dog while we were away. She was reliable, communicative, and made us feel completely comfortable knowing he was in good hands. We really appreciate the care and attention she gave him and would definitely recommend her services!

Mandy was amazing and our pets loved her! She was very communicative and takes her job watching our loved ones very seriously! I loved all of the communication while we were gone and didn’t feel like we had to worry while being on vacation! Will rebook with her for sure!!

Leah did an amazing job taking care of our dogs! She was incredibly kind, attentive, and caring throughout the entire visit. She even took the initiative to put our trash out and bring the trash bin back into the garage something that was completely beyond what we expected. We truly have no words to express how grateful we are for her thoughtfulness and willingness to go the extra mile. Thank you so much, Leah! We would absolutely recommend you to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.

5 ⭐️ I needed to leave on short notice, and Nigel and Ziggy needed adhere to a strict schedule for food and potty as they always have. Demona went above and beyond for my sweet boys (I think they prefer her more than me now!) She was very communicative and followed instructions very well. I know for sure she treated them as if they were her own canine companions. Can not recommend her enough! Thanks, Demona!

We had a great experience with Melaney! She took wonderful care of our three cats, whose ages range from 7 to 19 years old. One of the things we appreciated most was her communication. She sent us updates and pictures during each visit, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Seeing our cats happy and relaxed made it much easier to enjoy our trip. We came home knowing they had been well cared for, and we’re very grateful for the time and attention she gave them. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Melaney again and would gladly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, caring, and communicative pet sitter.
Suzanna was wonderful to work with! We scheduled her for drop in visits to let our pup out mid day during our first week at our new jobs, and I could tell he had a great time with her each day. She posted lots of photos and always made sure he got some exercise and went potty! Thanks Suzanna, definitely will book again if we need a buddy for our pup!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
