“Leah provided top notch flexible and affordable care for our three boys. With a changing work schedule and one of us out of town we needed someone who would be willing to look after and spend time with our boys and was ok with changes to the agreeded upon schedule. Leah was caring and responsive throughout the week and made a very turbulent five days run much smoother than expected.”

About: Dogs have been in my life since I was born. I am well versed in canine needs. As well as having a dog most of my life, I have volunteered at shelters and taken care of friends pets (dogs and cats) while they're away. I have experience giving medications as needed, simple training, and caring for senior pets and pets with physical limitations as well. I work from home and have flexibility with my schedule so I can be available for short-term and long-term pet care. I may also be available for shorter notice care. With pets new to me and vice-versa, I will allow them to approach me first if there is nervous energy. I want them to feel as comfortable as possible. Those animals that enjoy cuddles, I will cuddle; those that enjoy play, I will play; those that prefer space, I will give them their space so long as safety and needs are met.
“Melissa was WONDERFUL!!! She was looking in on our two cats while we were gone and always sent pictures and told us what was going on at each visit. It made us feel so much better about leaving them for such a long period of time. Will definitely use her again!!”

“Erika was amazing! She is very kind and responds quickly. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful sitter for my dog who you can tell truly cares about animals! 10/10 would recommend and I will be booking with Erika in the future!!”

“Kinzi is refreshingly professional and dependable. She was thorough during our initial meeting which provided peace of mind while we were gone. Looking forward to hiring her again in the near future!”

“Lynn helped us out with our senior baby while out of town. Fantastic communications and dependable! Our girl was in good hands with Lynn and I will definitely use her in the future.”

“The whole family loves Jes, especially our dog. Jes visited our dog three times today while we took a day trip across the state. She wrote meticulous notes about our dog’s behavior at the end of each of visit and took him for a few walks when the weather was cooler. We will hire Jes again next time our dog needs some attention during the day. Thank you, Jes! You’re a true pro who loves animals.”
“Genevieve has been super. She is prompt. She is adept at getting our dog to cooperate with his eyedrops. She cleans him up well if he has eye discharge or burrs in his fur. She is knowledgeable about dogs and interesting to talk to about them. She makes me glad we discovered Rover!”

About: Hello! My name is Ashlyn and I have been around animals my entire life. I grew up having a dog, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, and hermit crabs, and even raised goats and rabbits in FFA! I love all types of animals and enjoy getting outside for walks and hikes. Whether it’s taking an energetic pup for a walk or dropping in on a lazy dog, I’d love to help care for your pet however you may need. Have a pup unable to (or strongly dislikes) walking but loves to be outside? I’ll bring my wagon and happily pull them behind me! Does your dog just need someone to pet and love on them while you’re away? No worries, I’ve got you covered! I am currently earning my bachelors degree and have Summer break coming up from June-August. I’ll be available from 10 am to 8 pm daily, or can schedule outside of these times with 24 hour notice. Caring for and loving animals is a passion of mine and their health is my number one priority. I am well-versed in following instructions, and given specific guidelines I will maintain your dog’s routine.
“Yung-Chu did a great job taking care of my cats while I was out of town. She followed instructions with care and was flexible with adjusting the amount of drop in visits. She even took the time to do a meet and greet before the cat sitting began. I would highly recommend her to watch your fur babies.”

Erika was absolutely wonderful with our 2 cats and because we added an extra day, due to our flight being delayed, she stepped up and continued to take care of them. She Even cleaned the litter boxes a few times! The cats looked forward to seeing her & getting lots of attention! Highly recommend Erika for your pet needs!

Jennifer was great with my 2 senior cats. She asked lots of questions up front to be prepared and kept me updated on how they were doing. One of my cats has accidents and vomits a lot and Jennifer cleaned all the spots so I didn’t return home to a mess. Would definitely trust her to take care of my cats again.

Madyson was awesome!! She treated my anxious little kitty with so much patience and kindness and she ended up warming up to Madyson at the end. Madyson gave super detailed visit summaries and It made me feel so safe leaving my cat with her. She took such good care of her and left all her spaces spotless. Thanks Madyson!!

Mandy was amazing and our pets loved her! She was very communicative and takes her job watching our loved ones very seriously! I loved all of the communication while we were gone and didn’t feel like we had to worry while being on vacation! Will rebook with her for sure!!

Leah did an amazing job taking care of our dogs! She was incredibly kind, attentive, and caring throughout the entire visit. She even took the initiative to put our trash out and bring the trash bin back into the garage something that was completely beyond what we expected. We truly have no words to express how grateful we are for her thoughtfulness and willingness to go the extra mile. Thank you so much, Leah! We would absolutely recommend you to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
