“Marissa. is. incredible. It's important for me to preface all of this with the fact that my dogs are difficult. Not an 'aggressive, bite your head off' type of difficult, but a 'filled with a type of anxiety that would dethrone Courage the Cowardly Dog, acting as if they have ever been abandoned or they don't live with the extreme privilege my husband and I give them' type of difficult. We took a trip for 6 days during a time none of our family members could watch them, and Marissa came from a recommendation from a friend who had used her on Rover previously. I was terrified and stressed (I wonder where my dogs get it from!) to have someone who they were unfamiliar with check in on them. As I completely expected, they gave her a heck of a time on day one. But Marissa was patient and understanding with them. She gave them space when they needed it, and kindness all the while. Just by day two, I think both of our dogs would have been happy if Marissa piled them up in her car and took them home with her instead. She kept us in the loop 100% of the time, sent plenty of photos, cleaned up accidents and dishes they had dirtied, and ran laundry they had soiled from accidents. We came home to a clean house and happy dogs. I literally could not have asked for better. Marissa, we appreciate you more than you know! Thank you for taking care of my babies like they were your own. They already miss you!”

“Abigail provided unbelievable care for our kitten and provided excellent communication. We were super nervous to leave our adopted kitten with a sitter but Abigail checked on her often and with the photo and video updates we felt much more at ease.”

“Thank you for the love you showed our dogs while we were away. The pictures you sent gave me comfort as I could see how well taken care of they were. We appreciate you!”

“It is so reassuring to have Elle looking in on our Kitty. She is responsible and conscientious. A great communicator and compassionate care giver. If you want to provide the BEST care for your lovable pets you will want Elle to care for them.”

“Darla was amazing with our dog while we were on vacation. It was my first time booking with Rover and she was so patient and walked me through the process. She went above and beyond while taking care of our Whiskey. I can’t say enough good things. We are so thankful for such a great first experience because of her.”
“Alexandra helped us with our two beautiful shy kitties while we were out of town and did a really great job! Our shyest kitty really liked her as he came out to greet her on each visit and even played! we were positively surprised as they usually remain hidden and will definitely reach out for her sitter services next time we're out of town. 10/10 recommend!”

“Rebecca is amazing! She took great care of both my dog and cat. All the instructions I provided were followed (even the quirky needs of my cat) and she maintained a consistent schedule for them while i was away. Both my pets warmed up to her early on and I can tell they felt taken care of and actually miss her. Rebecca went above and beyond by loving on my fur babies and even took care of extra things I did not even mention. Thank you Rebecca!”

“We highly recommend our pet sitter, Victoria! She took excellent care of our cats, Coco and Nala, over the past four days. She made sure they were fed, kept their litter box clean, gave them treats, and, most importantly, showered them with plenty of love and attention. She truly went above and beyond to make sure they were happy and comfortable while we were away. Her communication was outstanding, and she regularly sent us pictures and updates, which gave us great peace of mind. We couldn’t be happier with the care she provided and would gladly book her again!”

About: Please DON'T book me if you have roaches. I have lived with a variety of pets and have been house/pet-sitting since 2016. Within that time, I've gained the most experience with dogs and cats, and I have gained some experience with birds, lizards, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, and turtles. I just finished college, and this is the only job I'm doing right now, so my schedule is pretty open, perfect for giving your pets constant care and attention. I do my best to match your exact routine. I follow instructions to the T, and if I have questions, I'll make sure to ask. A part of my job is to make you feel at ease while away. So I make sure to keep you updated on everything pet-related and house-related. I'll treat your home better than mine and I'll make it look like I was never there.

About: Over the past 10 years, I’ve worked in a variety of healthcare settings where compassion, patience, attention to detail, and staying calm under pressure were essential every day. Those same qualities naturally carry over into the way I care for pets. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a member of your family, and I treat every pet with the same level of care, safety, and attentiveness I would want for my own. What sets me apart is my strong caregiving background, reliability, and ability to pay close attention to behavior changes, routines, and individual needs. I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines, including senior pets who may need extra patience, gentler handling, medication reminders, or a calmer environment. I’m also organized, communicative, and committed to keeping pet parents updated with messages and photos so they can feel at ease while away. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy. I currently work weekdays from 8–5, but I make time before and after work for walks, feedings, drop-ins, playtime, and companionship. I’m especially flexible on weekends, which allows me to dedicate even more time and attention to pets who may need extended care or extra visits. As a pet owner myself, I understand the love, patience, and compassionate care that fur babies need to feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I have a Chihuahua of my own, so I’m very familiar with maintaining routines, paying attention to behavior and comfort levels, and treating pets like family. I also pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and flexible whenever possible to help meet both pet and owner needs. 🐾 Safety, trust, and comfort are always my top priorities when caring for pets. Having worked in the healthcare industry for over 10 years, I understand the importance of being attentive, dependable, detail-oriented, and aware of changes in behavior or routine. I take pride in creating a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets feel secure and cared for while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their routines as closely as possible because I know consistency helps pets feel comfortable and reduces stress. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions if needed, and any special care requests. I also make sure doors, gates, leashes, and surroundings are secure at all times during walks and visits. As a pet owner myself, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your fur baby in someone else’s care. I treat every pet with patience, compassion, and the same level of attention I would want for my own Chihuahua. I also believe communication is important, so I provide regular updates and photos to help owners feel reassured and connected while away. 🐾
“My dog Rosie does not warm up to people easily and she can be very particular about meeting strangers. Rosie warmed up to Kellie very quickly and I felt so much relief knowing Rosie felt safe and secure with her right away. I can tell from the photos Kellie sends how happy Rosie is during their drop ins. I will be going to Kellie anytime I need a sitter!”

Georgetown cat parents share their Rover experiences
Brittny was fantastic. Our usual Rover sitter was out of town so I contacted Brittny to care for our pets while we attended our son’s multiple all-star baseball games all day. Brittny arrived on time and provided excellent care for our pets. She took time to engage with our dog and he was super happy when we got home. Thank you, Brittny for accommodating our last minute request. I feel like my pets made a new friend today.

Rachel was wonderful! We needed someone to come check in on our little potato kitty while we were out of town and she was very communicative, sent photos, was on-time, and hung out with our sweet boy to keep him company for a little bit! Very grateful for her! ☺️

Marissa has been helping us taking care of our cat Oreo. Marissa not only just feeds and cleans the litter box, she takes time to play with Oreo. My cat is very shy and she will hide to strangers but she came out to greet Marissa. Thank you so much for taking good care of Oreo. ❤️
Abigail is an excellent sitter and a true pet lover! I was in a bit of a time crunch, and she confirmed her availability quickly, which I really appreciated. Her communication was great, and I had complete peace of mind while I was away knowing my cat was in such good hands. Highly recommended

Alicia was amazing with Charlie, especially while he was dealing with medical issues during my trip. She kept me updated, monitored him closely, and handled everything with so much care and calm. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such capable hands. I’m incredibly grateful and would absolutely book her again.

What an amazing experience!! This was our first time using rover and DJ made it easy and made us feel such comfort leaving our cat. This was a last minute booking as well, we were worried about finding someone last minute and DJ was able to get booked within a day of us leaving. Lots of pictures and updates were sent and we loved that so much. If you are a first time user and are nervous about booking a sitter, DJ is the way to go! Will definitely be booking in the future!!

Debbie was made a second trip to my house to pick up my key, as the meet-and-greet was well in advance of the booking. Debbie was also able to add an extra drop-in at the last minute and was even willing to scoop poop. Debbie sent plenty of photos, and from the looks of it, my pets thoroughly enjoyed her company.
