“Brittny was awesome we had a last-minute change in our pet sitting for our trip and she was the first one to respond and gave her girl so much cuddles and love and I can tell him my pup’s face. She was so happy to be meaning someone new and playing with someone new. I really appreciate her and all the pictures she said and all the questions she asked, made it very easy to know what was going on with my pup while I was gone.”

“Jacqueline took great care of my pups! She was consistently on time for pop-ins, sent thorough updates, and and I returned home to a place cleaner than I left it. My doggos are happy, so I am happy. Highly recommend!”

“Thank you for being so caring and thorough with our babies! And hauling in all those packages. Just to let you know, Tuck is ok. He has rhinitis and reverse sneezes often. It is disconcerting to see and I apologize for not telling you. I could could not figure out on the app how to message you back. We would love to have you sit for us again, if you are willing. Have a great rest of your week!”

“Elle helped out tremendously on short notice and was great to work with! Communicating with Elle was incredibly easy and she did great keeping me updated after her visit.”

“Thank you for the love you showed our dogs while we were away. The pictures you sent gave me comfort as I could see how well taken care of they were. We appreciate you!”

“Abigail is the best! Every time we leave our pets in her care we can truly relax and enjoy our vacation! And she sends the most awesome pictures! It brightens our day!”

“So thankful to have found Ryan. He is very professional, has a very calm demeanor and came to the Meet-and-Greet ready to make friends with Wallace, treats in hand. He was very communicative, sent updates and photos, and executed all of Wallace’s needs without hesitation. We would definitely book with Ryan again!”

About: I have owned 3 dogs over the past 20 years. I have watched, walked, and cared for the dogs, cats, birds, turtles, and reptiles. I have trained my own pets and I’m very comfortable meeting new animals. I’m a part-time remotely working licensed realtor so I’ve been fingerprinted and FBI background checked for your safety and peace of mind. I’m currently working part-time from home, mostly on my computer so I have plenty of time to play, walk, and care for your pets. I will carefully adhere to your pets’ schedule, routine, and instructions to make sure your pet has a safe and happy experience in my care.
“Sierra was great from our meet and greet to the drop in visits for our weekend getaway. I would definitely use her again for my sweet Cleo she paid attention to her needs and made sure she got lots of love while I was gone, I can’t thank her enough for her time!”

“Sariena took great care of my cat! He’s usually shy around new people but he really opened up to her by the end of the week. She also made sure the litter he tosses out of his litter box was cleaned up.”

“Darla is my go to for cat sitting! She responds quickly, sends great updates, communications frequently, and goes above and beyond to make sure I have peace of mind while traveling.”

“My dog Rosie does not warm up to people easily and she can be very particular about meeting strangers. Rosie warmed up to Kellie very quickly and I felt so much relief knowing Rosie felt safe and secure with her right away. I can tell from the photos Kellie sends how happy Rosie is during their drop ins. I will be going to Kellie anytime I need a sitter!”

“Alex was wonderful! Very professional and communicative. She handled all of our cats needs, and even got the reclusive one who hides from everyone to play with her! We will definitely hire Alex again to watch our kitties.”
“We could not be happier with Carina!! She’s so communicative, reliable, patient and loves our pups whenever she is watches them. We will continue to choose her again and again!”

About: I have been taking care of family friends and neighbors pets for a few years now, I am very flexible and easy when it comes to times and what kind of animal is needing to be watched/taken care of. I am a college student, and I work much later in the day (3pm-11pm). I am very good at time management, and I’m super flexible and easy to work with when someone needs something done. I love my dog, I grew up with dogs running the house and they should always be respected as part of the family. I love to greet other pets when I walk in, I make sure they sniff and walk around so they know I am not a threat. Cats are much newer to my family but I love them. I’ve only watched cats a few times, and I’ve learned that they will show you how they want to be treated whether that’s leaving them alone completely or playing with them for a bit. In other homes, I would make sure what their rules and needs are so I can cater to that pet and household.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Georgetown
Heather is so responsible and a great sitter. She takes care of each pet, and even notified us that she had seen our missing kitty, who made an appearance during our brief absence, but did not come in. We were able to bring him back in when we returned home. We're very appreciative of Heather's care!
So thankful to have found Ryan. He is very professional, has a very calm demeanor and came to the Meet-and-Greet ready to make friends with Wallace, treats in hand. Abigail is an excellent sitter and a true pet lover! I was in a bit of a time crunch, and she confirmed her availability quickly, which I really appreciated. Her communication was great, and I had complete peace of mind while I was away knowing my cat was in such good hands. Highly recommended

Alicia was amazing with Charlie, especially while he was dealing with medical issues during my trip. She kept me updated, monitored him closely, and handled everything with so much care and calm. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such capable hands. I’m incredibly grateful and would absolutely book her again.

What an amazing experience!! This was our first time using rover and DJ made it easy and made us feel such comfort leaving our cat. This was a last minute booking as well, we were worried about finding someone last minute and DJ was able to get booked within a day of us leaving. Lots of pictures and updates were sent and we loved that so much. If you are a first time user and are nervous about booking a sitter, DJ is the way to go! Will definitely be booking in the future!!

Debbie was made a second trip to my house to pick up my key, as the meet-and-greet was well in advance of the booking. Debbie was also able to add an extra drop-in at the last minute and was even willing to scoop poop. Debbie sent plenty of photos, and from the looks of it, my pets thoroughly enjoyed her company.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Georgetown. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
