About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my entire life and have always loved caring for them. I currently have a 9-year-old cat and a 3-year-old dog, along with years of experience caring for friends’ cats. I’m especially comfortable with small dogs and cats and will treat your pets with the same patience, attention, and love I give my own. I’m happy to schedule a meet & greet beforehand so we can get to know each other and make sure your pet is comfortable with me. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pets are in good hands! I’m also a mom to a little one, so she’ll likely be joining me for drop-in visits. I’m happy to schedule a meet & greet beforehand so everyone can get comfortable with each other! About: Since I was a young girl, I have always been fascinated by animals—particularly dogs. I begged my parents to get me my first pet—Jasper, a rescued Labrador retriever—at age 7. Taking care of Jasper was my main focus as well the odd assortment of fish and hamsters we had. When Jasper passed, and I graduated high school, my next door neighbor had a litter of golden retriever puppies. I was ready to have another animal, and that’s when Kensie came into my life. Kensie was my soul dog, and she passed away two years ago. We did everything together—going to dog parks around town, Zilker park, and even red bud (before the algae), and going to dog-friendly establishments in Austin. She was my best friend. Unfortunately, her last few months on earth were extremely challenging. I was up with her three to four times a night (sometimes more), administering multiple medications, and helping her stand/walk. When the time came to say goodbye, I could barely make the decision to let her go. I miss her so much, but because of my current living situation, don’t have the opportunity to get another dog. That’s where Rover comes in. I love animals, and am extremely responsible when it comes to taking care of someone’s pet. This will give me my ‘fix’ and also be a productive side hustle for me. It will be an honor to walk//watch your pet. I will give the very care and concern I gave my own pets.
