About: Hello dog parents! I’ve cared for animals for as long as I can remember… It all started with my first dogs named Salt and Pepper when I was about 5. After them, I knew exactly what I wanted in life. I’ve cared for many dogs such as Labs, chihuahua, husky, great pyrenees, poodle, mix-breeds, pugs, Aussie, Pitbull/bully breeds. The list can go on and I plan to keep it going. I’ve also cared for other animals such as bearded dragons, kittens, birds, pigs, and rats. I’ve had the most experience with middle aged pets but have cared for puppies to seniors. If I am to accept a booking for a breed I have never cared for, I always make sure research the breed and gain their trust on the first impression. I do work overnights so I have plenty of time for those working the 9-5. (Please keep in mind I do sleep during the day). If you are looking for the occasional walks or need a last minute dog walker you've come to the right place! I try to keep a consistent schedule and observe a pets health continuously. For an example with my own pets I do weekly checks and in my calender I have it set when I need to clean their teeth and ears. I constantly listen if their nails are too long or are they not getting enough traction on the floor. My dog had surgery twice and needed special care and we constantly monitor her for any signs for changes in herself. We think of pets like our children, we want them to have the best. I look at is as humans domesticated them and should be treated with the same respect. When was their last treat, can they be spoiled. What about Friday treats? Watchung the dogs body language and knowing when I invaded their personal space. Setting boundaries as the kennel or their bed is their space, I can't touch them in their space.
About: State pet adoption CEO hired me! Many years of experience with dogs, cats, hamsters, sugar gliders, and other pets. Reliable. Integrity matters! Fostering experience. #pickme Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I enjoy being active and spending time with animals. I plan my schedule to ensure pets receive consistent attention, exercise, feeding, and companionship throughout the day. Whether it's walks, playtime, potty breaks, or simply providing comfort and care, I make pets a priority and enjoy incorporating their needs into my everyday activities. The only time I’m not available os Sunday mornings (church-my husband’s a minister). I care for pets in their own home by maintaining their normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any special instructions. I provide lots of attention and companionship and do my best to ensure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away.
About: Hey there! My name is Tiffany and I’ve been a dog mom for as long as I can remember! We have two male Australian Shepherds named Jax & Ryder. They are my pride and joy. We love to give our boys all the play time and cuddles around here. We’d love to do the same for your babies. I currently work Monday-Friday usually from 8-5. Majority of the time, I go home on my lunch to let dogs out for a potty break. In the evenings we play ball, throw the frisbee and cuddle on the couch to watch Netflix. My yard is fenced for potty breaks and play time. We have two male dogs that hang out inside during the day. There is plenty of room for crates if they need to be crated.
About: I know that pets can become confused and upset while you are away. I will make sure their needs are met with compassion and love. I will spend whatever amount of time needed with them to assure they are happy and comfortable. I take care of my husband who is a disabled veteran and have free time to meet your pets needs, treating them as if they were my own We have two dogs and three mischievous cats. I'm available to take as much time as needed during visits to ensure all of their needs are met and they are comfortable and loved
“Myranda was absolutely wonderful with our fur baby! She was always punctual on her visits and sent us the best pictures and videos of our Pearl ❤️ It’s so comforting to have someone that loves on your pup as much as you would while your gone ☺️ Would highly recommend her!!”

“Tamaria kindly checked in on my cat when I needed someone very last minute over the holidays. She is extremely fast to respond and sends regular updates, including plenty of pictures. My cat is very shy around new people but warmed up quickly to Tamaria with a few treats of encouragement! I recommend Tamaria and will certainly reach out to her in the future.”

“Maricella did a fantastic job taking care of our dogs, Lindy and Finn. From the start, she was communicative, reliable, and clearly cared about making sure they were comfortable and well looked after. We really appreciated the updates and the attention she gave to their routines and needs. It gave us great peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend Maricela to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking with her again! Thank you Maricella!”

About: Hi there! I'm Melayna, and I'd love to help out with petsitting and walking. I just moved here with my furry friend and would love to meet yours! I love animals and have had many of my own so I have experience caring for pets. I also love being outside so I can take them on walks and play with them! I am currently working part-time and have a flexible schedule. My schedule allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my routines. I understand how important consistency can be for pets so l am happy to adjust to your pet's needs and schedule to keep them comfortable while you are away! I treat every pet and home as if they were my own. I do my best to keep your pet on their normal routine to help them feel safe and comfortable— whether that's feeding, walks, playtime, or medications. I'm attentive to details, respectful of your home, and always make sure your pet gets lots of love and attention while you're away. I also believe communication is important. About: As a kid I was taught responsibility by caring for our horses, cats, dogs, birds, fish and guinea pigs. I’ve had pets all my life! My mom’s cat almost died of a bacterial infection in her mouth and I’ve helped administer antibiotics to her until she got better. I had a cat who had kidney disease and needed to have IV fluids every week. My other cat had to be mouth fed with a syringe as well as monitored via thermometer up his butt. I have house and pet sit for friends and family that have multiple pets, most recently for a friend that had 6 dogs of all sizes! I am an active individual so walking will be a treat for them and me! :) I have given dogs and cats baths and also cared for dogs in heat. I have a very open and wide range of availability and I am available most days, including weekends and holidays as I rarely ever go out of town. It would be great to develop some long term relationships with new pets and their owners! Repeats are always great but not expected. I will do what I can to work with your schedule and the needs of you and your fur child. I will do my best to maintain consistency and high-level care when it comes to your pet. Each pet is different and I try to get to know each one individually in order to gain their trust and yours and provide the best care possible. Often times, I will send pictures to the pet owner, especially if it is a new client or a pet owner is out of town for an extended amount of time. I am easily reachable and try to communicate clearly about wants, needs, and scheduling. I prefer to do a meet and greet prior to providing a service, but it is not mandatory, especially for last minute bookings! We have a small yard in front and neighbors that will walk their dogs but they are all on leashes and well behaved. We live in a newer and safe community and I often take my dog for a walk around the neighborhood. There is a small park down the street which is nice too. We also have a fenced in backyard which can be seen from the inside of the house or the porch. We live in a one story house, but there are steps from the porch to the yard outback. My husband lives with me and has also grown up with cats and dogs. We currently have one male cat Santiago who gets along great with our male Chihuahua Juan Pablo and also got along great with my former senior Maine coon cat. He is a bit weary of strangers at first, but he will just hide until he gets to know you a bit and then you won’t be able to get him off of your lap. We have a gate in between the kitchen and the rest of the house so that the Chihuahua can have free rain to walk around and not have to be in his cage when we are not home. In the event that we have another animal in the house we can keep the Chihuahua in his cage. We also have two bedrooms and two baths that can be used to separate animals. The Chihuahua is very friendly and gets along great with the cat. He is also a bit skittish at first with strangers but once he gets to know you all he wants to do is give you kisses. He is very non-aggressive and barely ever barks. He is also very friendly. I feed my cat both wet and dry food twice a day in his food dish and he has water out constantly. I feed the dog twice a day, sometimes dry food, and sometimes refrigerated dog food. I let the dog out several times a day and we go for a daily walk as well. I clean the kitty litter box once a day. I snuggle and cuddle with both of them as much as possible, and play fetch with the dog at various points throughout the day.
About: Hey! I’m Jess, and dogs basically run my life (in the best way). 🐶💛 I’ve cared for dogs of all kinds, including big, small, purebreds, mutts, puppies, seniors, even diabetic or epileptic pups. I work at a boarding and daycare facility, and I even get to hang out with K9s in training, so I know how to handle high-energy, smart, and sometimes stubborn dogs. Feeding, bathing, cleaning up messes, exercising, monitoring behavior. I do it all, and I do it with love! I’m all about communication. I’ll send pics, updates, and cute texts so you know your pup is happy, safe, and having a blast. I’m trained in pet CPR, first aid, and know all the warning signs to look out for. While I don’t bring dogs to my home, I’ll work with them wherever they’re comfortable. I’m flexible, reliable, and genuinely love making each dog feel like the goodest boy or girl in the world. I work part-time shifts (3.5–6.5 hours), so I schedule visits and walks around my job. Dogs get consistent attention, play, and exercise while you’re away. I care for pets in their own space so they feel comfortable and stress-free; feeding, walking, playing, and giving attention. I follow your instructions and adapt to each dog’s personality.

About: Over 33 years experience caring for animals. Technician, hospital and boarding experience. Very knowledgeable about giving injections, medications etc. It's very important to me that each clients needs are met. If lounging on the couch or bed is okay with mom and dad I love it. If mom and dad's rules say no furniture, I will follow any guidelines. My passion in life is animal care and treating each one of these amazing fur babies like they are part of my family. I also have extensive knowledge about breeds and the traits they have. They are individuals just like we are and each have different needs. Forming a trusting bond is very important to me. It's an honor to be entrusted with their care. :)

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Prairie Dell. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
