About: Give your dog a vacation! :) Your dog won't have any lack of attention in a home of two dog-lovers and an adorable little mutt named Tiger! We both work from home so we’re able to give attention throughout the day. I've grown up with dogs my whole life, and being from the country, we'd usually have six or seven in our family at a time. Tiger loves all dogs, big or small - he's a real dog's dog. Whatever your dog's temperament may be - whether chilling on the couch, or going for a walk or run, we will be happy to accommodate. We only board small and medium sized dogs, up to 40 pounds. If your dog is larger, we are open to house sitting at your residence. Your dog will have lots of room to play and relax in our two bedroom, dog-proofed home. We are lucky to have a fenced in back yard and to live in such a walkable neighborhood (less than half a mile from town square). Since we work from home, I'm able to do multiple walks (or jogs, if you are so inclined) a day. I will also send you updates and photos so you can relax and rest assured that your canine friend is in good hands. Let me know if your dog prefers to be crated at night or sleep with us. We also have several plush dog beds throughout the house, but feel free to bring any bedding or toys that will remind them of home.
“This is the second time we have used Maricella. Good communication. Great care for our cats and fish. Can tell she really cares about them. Sends a lot of pictures. We’ll definitely use her again!”

“We can’t say enough good things about Josh. He is always on top of things and takes the best care of our boys. There was some weather coming in and Josh made sure our boys were safe and well cared for. It’s so good to see how happy they truly are when he’s there with them.”

“This was our first time with Lilianais, and she did not disappoint! She was punctual and courteous in communication with us about our kitties while we were away from home. Definitely recommend!”

“Dayana, Agreed to do drop ins on REALLY SHORT notice... She was prompt, communicative and excellent in all regards. I hope the next time We require a drop in She is available.”

About: Over 33 years experience caring for animals. Technician, hospital and boarding experience. Very knowledgeable about giving injections, medications etc. It's very important to me that each clients needs are met. If lounging on the couch or bed is okay with mom and dad I love it. If mom and dad's rules say no furniture, I will follow any guidelines. My passion in life is animal care and treating each one of these amazing fur babies like they are part of my family. I also have extensive knowledge about breeds and the traits they have. They are individuals just like we are and each have different needs. Forming a trusting bond is very important to me. It's an honor to be entrusted with their care. :)
About: I have had animals my entire life and currently have 5 dogs, 5 cats and a horse. My full time job is on a farm taking care of horses so I have the ability to administer fist aid and medications and am comfortable with all sizes and shapes of animals. Also have experience with goats and pigs. I currently work part time and travel some for work so my schedule is flexible and easy to work around. I have the ability to work evenings and weekends when needed. I will make sure to follow all the instructions given to me to properly care for your pet. I have extreme attention to detail and am able to recognize if there might be a problem with an animal because my job has been to have an awareness about how an animal is acting for the past 10 years. I also have extensive experience with my own pets and different issues they have had through my life.

I am currently working part-time and have a flexible schedule. My schedule allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my routines. I understand how important consistency can be for pets so l am happy to adjust to your pet's needs and schedule to keep them comfortable while you are away! I treat every pet and home as if they were my own. I do my best to keep your pet on their normal routine to help them feel safe and comfortable— whether that's feeding, walks, playtime, or medications. About: As a kid I was taught responsibility by caring for our horses, cats, dogs, birds, fish and guinea pigs. I’ve had pets all my life! My mom’s cat almost died of a bacterial infection in her mouth and I’ve helped administer antibiotics to her until she got better. I had a cat who had kidney disease and needed to have IV fluids every week. My other cat had to be mouth fed with a syringe as well as monitored via thermometer up his butt. I have house and pet sit for friends and family that have multiple pets, most recently for a friend that had 6 dogs of all sizes! I am an active individual so walking will be a treat for them and me! :) I have given dogs and cats baths and also cared for dogs in heat. I have a very open and wide range of availability and I am available most days, including weekends and holidays as I rarely ever go out of town. It would be great to develop some long term relationships with new pets and their owners! Repeats are always great but not expected. I will do what I can to work with your schedule and the needs of you and your fur child. I will do my best to maintain consistency and high-level care when it comes to your pet. Each pet is different and I try to get to know each one individually in order to gain their trust and yours and provide the best care possible. Often times, I will send pictures to the pet owner, especially if it is a new client or a pet owner is out of town for an extended amount of time. I am easily reachable and try to communicate clearly about wants, needs, and scheduling. I prefer to do a meet and greet prior to providing a service, but it is not mandatory, especially for last minute bookings! We have a small yard in front and neighbors that will walk their dogs but they are all on leashes and well behaved. We live in a newer and safe community and I often take my dog for a walk around the neighborhood. There is a small park down the street which is nice too. We also have a fenced in backyard which can be seen from the inside of the house or the porch. We live in a one story house, but there are steps from the porch to the yard outback. My husband lives with me and has also grown up with cats and dogs. We currently have one male cat Santiago who gets along great with our male Chihuahua Juan Pablo and also got along great with my former senior Maine coon cat. He is a bit weary of strangers at first, but he will just hide until he gets to know you a bit and then you won’t be able to get him off of your lap. We have a gate in between the kitchen and the rest of the house so that the Chihuahua can have free rain to walk around and not have to be in his cage when we are not home. In the event that we have another animal in the house we can keep the Chihuahua in his cage. We also have two bedrooms and two baths that can be used to separate animals. The Chihuahua is very friendly and gets along great with the cat. He is also a bit skittish at first with strangers but once he gets to know you all he wants to do is give you kisses. He is very non-aggressive and barely ever barks. He is also very friendly. I feed my cat both wet and dry food twice a day in his food dish and he has water out constantly. I feed the dog twice a day, sometimes dry food, and sometimes refrigerated dog food. I let the dog out several times a day and we go for a daily walk as well. I clean the kitty litter box once a day. I snuggle and cuddle with both of them as much as possible, and play fetch with the dog at various points throughout the day.
“Tamaria kindly checked in on my cat when I needed someone very last minute over the holidays. She is extremely fast to respond and sends regular updates, including plenty of pictures. My cat is very shy around new people but warmed up quickly to Tamaria with a few treats of encouragement! I recommend Tamaria and will certainly reach out to her in the future.”

“Chloe was able to help me out on short notice and was flexible with changes that occurred. Puddin was super bummed to see me walk through the door and not Chloe! Puddin and I will gladly schedule Chloe again!”

“Highly recommend Makayla! She is kind, bright, and respectful. Great communication and care for our kitty while we were away for two weeks. Makayla made us feel at ease and it was evident our cat loved her :) If we weren’t moving out of state, we would rebook in a heartbeat.”

“Olivia was fantabulous!! I was nervous about using a service to take care of my big old guy. I have always had family and friends available to take care of my fur babies until now. After meeting Olivia, I was able to rid my anxiety. She sent lots of pics. She loved on my fur baby at each of the visits she made while I was out of town. She sent updates and even gave him his meds. I will definitely be asking her to pet sit again.”

About: I grew up in an animal shelter. Sounds crazy right? Well, it's true. My mom has always worked around animals(and still does) so I was always right by her side. Whether it be at animal shelters, helping with adoptions, walking, feeding, giving medications. Anything to be involved ! Then she became a Veterinarian. So of course, when I got old enough, I worked at her clinic. I've truely worked with animals my whole life and have always had animals of my own. I am currently working as an Animal Rescue Coordinator each day but would love to further my pet care business . My fur babies are my children and I treat them as so. You will always be able to find comfort knowing that I will treat your fur babies with the same love and care as my own! My favorite thing to do is spend time with my 3 dogs. A few things we love doing are going to the dog park, playing fetch, frisbee, going to the lake to swim, agility, hiking, and of course getting frozen yogurt! I would be more than happy to spend time with your pup doing these things. I'm sure they deserve it! I can't wait to spoil your pup and put your mind at ease knowing he/she is loved, safe, and happy while you're away. Your fur babies deserve the best! I currently work full time in VetMed but I have Fri-Sun off. This is when I’ll offer pet services. I’m hoping to offer full time care eventually. I care for pets in my home as if they were my own. They are allowed on furniture/beds if the owner is okay with this. I have doggy gates for separation of other animals if needed. Pets are never left unattended in my home. If I must leave for any reason, your pet must be kenneled in my home.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 728 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Holland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Holland. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
