“We had a wonderful experience! She was so friendly and sweet throughout the entire process. Most importantly, Taylor absolutely loved her. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter.”

“My two dogs just love Isabella. I appreciate that she takes good care of them while I am away for the day. She gives me updates and pictures each time she comes. I highly recommend her.”

“Jormary is wonderful! As a repeat client, I continue to trust her with Max and Ruby. She is reliable, communicative, and always provides excellent care during her drop-in visits. I’m grateful for attentiveness and kindness towards Max and Ruby, highly recommend her services. 🐾😊”

“Maricella did a fantastic job taking care of our dogs, Lindy and Finn. From the start, she was communicative, reliable, and clearly cared about making sure they were comfortable and well looked after. We really appreciated the updates and the attention she gave to their routines and needs. It gave us great peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend Maricela to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking with her again! Thank you Maricella!”

“I’m so thankful for Adaline! We ended up being out of town longer than expected and Adaline came through in a pinch. She came and not only let out our Tater Tot but she also fed him and took time to play with him. We will be using her in the future for boarding as well ☺️”

About: Hi there! I'm Melayna, and I'd love to help out with petsitting and walking. I just moved here with my furry friend and would love to meet yours! I love animals and have had many of my own so I have experience caring for pets. I also love being outside so I can take them on walks and play with them! I am currently working part-time and have a flexible schedule. My schedule allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my routines. I understand how important consistency can be for pets so l am happy to adjust to your pet's needs and schedule to keep them comfortable while you are away! I treat every pet and home as if they were my own. I do my best to keep your pet on their normal routine to help them feel safe and comfortable— whether that's feeding, walks, playtime, or medications. I'm attentive to details, respectful of your home, and always make sure your pet gets lots of love and attention while you're away. I also believe communication is important. I make sure to send plenty of photos and reach out if I need any clarification about your furry friend's care! I am also happy to meet clients and their furry friends before booking to find out if we’re a match!

About: Over 33 years experience caring for animals. Technician, hospital and boarding experience. Very knowledgeable about giving injections, medications etc. It's very important to me that each clients needs are met. If lounging on the couch or bed is okay with mom and dad I love it. If mom and dad's rules say no furniture, I will follow any guidelines. My passion in life is animal care and treating each one of these amazing fur babies like they are part of my family. I also have extensive knowledge about breeds and the traits they have. They are individuals just like we are and each have different needs. Forming a trusting bond is very important to me. It's an honor to be entrusted with their care. :)
“Ashley was fantastic with our pets! She was thoughtful, reliable, and kept us updated with detailed check-ins throughout. We greatly appreciate all her help and would happily recommend her. :)”

“Once again, Josh took exceptional care of our boy! It's so great to see him so genuinely happy in the pictures Josh shares from his visits. Five stars are not enough!”

About: Hi! I'm a 28 y/o dog mom new to the area! I have a sweet little 10lb cavapoo who I am obsessed with and who adores other dogs! I'm home all day (Army wife life) so I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets, whether it's playing with them or taking them on walks around the neighborhood. I'd love to explore the area with your pet, or just give them the snuggles they’re used to while you’re away. My dog is a rescue who I raised from puppyhood—so I don’t mind accidents, teething, training, etc. I’m vigilant about safety with dogs, especially around cars and roads, so you can rest assured knowing I won’t let anything happen to your pup. I also grew up with two very energetic dogs in my home and I know how important pets are to each family. I'm happy to get to know your pet and any quirks they might have--places to avoid, special care they require, anything at all! Little more about me: I’m from the Midwest and have my Bachelor’s from U of M! I spent the last few years in the Washington, DC area with my husband as he went through medical school & residency. We’re an Army family but still hold our Midwest roots dearly :) I work part-time remotely, so I’m home and available all day and in the evenings. I’m happy to stop by to play with your pup and take a break from work, or go on my evening hot-girl walk with your dog by my side! I will treat your pet like my own when they’re in my home! We love to play, wrestle, and snuggle on the couch! My dog has free rein so she lounges on the couch, her beds, our bed, etc. Your dog is welcome to do the same! We can assess how the dogs get along and decide how to leave them if I have to step outside—we also have baby gates where I can separate the dogs if that’s best. I do not have any children so there aren’t little toys for your dog to get into, and I’ll keep all food and shoes put away. I like to think my apartment is quiet and cozy, so I’ll be sure to provide a calm environment for your pet! I am able to go to your home and meet your pet in their familiar space. I am open to all notes and tidbits about your home, your neighborhood, etc so that your pet has the best experience with me.
“Paige was great, very communicative and seemed to connect really well with our dogs! We had a lot of anxiety because one of our girls doesn’t like to be alone and hadn’t been without us before but she was very comfortable with Paige and seemed to take a lot of comfort from her drop-ins!”

“Darla has been doing drop in visits for my three pups. She is amazing! She is great about being here around the same time each day to keep my dogs on a good schedule. She is very loving towards them and takes great care of them for me!”

“Lili took care of our 3 cats while we went away for our honeymoon. She came 2 times a day to care for them. We couldnt have picked a better sitter! She went above and beyond and we didnt have to worry about our kitties while we were away. She was so responsive and went out of her way to get photos of all 3 cats. Even when they hid under the bed! Thank you Lili for everything!”

About: I’ve had dogs growing up my entire life, and plan on getting some of my own once I complete nursing school! I am a nursing student at Mary Hardin-Baylor so anytime I can come and check in on your pets, give them some love and attention, would make me happy! I currently only work part time along with my school schedule and study a lot, so need to take breaks. It would be great to take some of the breaks to love on your animals the same way you would while you are out of town. I no longer have an animal of my own since I moved out of my parents home. But I grew up with toys all over and the animals being treated as family because they were family.
About: ** I have been an avid dog lover from the time I was a little kid and have had the privilege of having four dogs in my life, two currently. In the past I have taken care of a wide variety of dogs, from little Chihuahuas to large Saint Bernard and Newfoundlands, and I take care of two large Great Danes re-occurringly in my home! My time caring for dogs has involved me walking them 3-4+ times a day while also spending time to socialize with them, as well as feeding them at specified times, while providing them with personal space to eat if needed in my home. Personally I have had the great opportunity to have two Yorkshire Terriers, a golden retriever, and a black mouth cur. As well as having my own dogs now, a loving mush of a pit/boxer/little bit of everything, mix and a golden retriever. I also have experience working with cats and had a cat of my own for 13 years. My desire to work with animals comes from the love I have for my own and the joy that animals bring me in general. I greatly enjoy encounters with new animals whether I'm caring for them or just simply meeting them while on a walk. **I always like to add that I do have experience with both oral medication as well as injections such as insulin, etc! I am currently working on a paralegal program for fun and other than that, I generally don’t do much outside of the house. The longest I’m usually gone is for the gym or groceries! I have a lovely fenced in yard and two amazingly sweet pups that are wonderful at keeping any and all dogs company at the times I am not home. There is also the option to crate them while I am gone (they are used to that from our previous home) if that is what you would prefer! Dogs are always welcome on the couch and to sleep in the bed, but I also completely respect keeping up with dogs that are trained not to do so.
“Bryanna was THE BEST! She took care of my fur baby as her own! She left me messages and pictures and my dog looked happy and healthy and was perfect when I got home! I’ll definitely ask for Bryanna to help me in the future with my Kiki❤️!!!”

Jillian was absolutely amazing. The meet and greet was so thorough that I just knew she would do a wonderful job at taking care of my fur-babies. I have senior fur-babies and she catered to their needs just the way I would as well as making sure the house was prepared for my return. Jillian is definitely my go to caregiver for my babies in the future.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Salado. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
