I have a flexible daytime schedule, which means I can build pet care around your pet's routine instead of squeezing them into mine. I'm available for morning, midday, and evening drop-in visits and walks, plus overnight house-sitting in your home. Because my days are flexible, I can cover the midday potty breaks, feedings, and medication doses that sitters with a strict 9-to-5 often can't, which makes a real difference for puppies, seniors, and pets on a schedule. I also keep my client list small enough that every pet gets genuine, unrushed attention.

I care for pets in their own home rather than mine, so your pet stays in the place where they feel safest, surrounded by their own bed, smells, and routine. I follow your feeding, exercise, and medication instructions to the letter, and I'm fully comfortable administering medications, including for seniors and high-needs pets. Safety is my constant priority: dogs stay leashed and harnessed on every walk, I double-check all doors, gates, and locks before and after each visit, and indoor cats stay safely inside. I'll also keep your home tidy and lived-in by bringing in mail and packages, managing lights, and leaving everything just as you left it. You'll get photo and video updates every visit, and I'm always reachable if anything comes up.

Before our first visit, it helps to know: their feeding schedule and any diet details; medications, doses, and timing; your vet's info and an emergency contact; their daily routine and favorite spots; any fears or triggers; how they do with strangers, other animals, and being alone; and where their food, leash, litter, and supplies are kept. If your pet has special needs, senior quirks, or a particular comfort routine, I want to hear all of it. There's no such thing as too much detail when it comes to caring for someone you love.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I tailor the fun to who they are. With high-energy dogs, that might mean a long walk, a game of fetch, or a "sniffari" to let them explore at their own pace. With seniors, it's gentle strolls, cozy cuddle sessions, and lots of patience. For shy or anxious pets, I move slowly and let them set the terms until they trust me. Cats get the same individualized attention — wand and feather play for the hunters, treats and brushing for the lap-lovers, and a sunny window with quiet company for the ones who just want to supervise. Whether your pet wants to play hard or simply be loved on, my goal is the same: that they feel happy, secure, and right at home until you're back.

Hi, I'm Deleyla! I care for every animal like they're my own family, because for the time they're with me, they are. I've spent more than 30 years caring for pets, from fostering dogs and cats to volunteering in animal shelters, and I share my home with a dog and three cats of my own. I've looked after just about every kind of critter along the way, but dogs and cats are my heart. What I love most is caring for the animals other people sometimes find intimidating: the seniors who've slowed down, the high-needs pups, the ones on a medication schedule, the shy ones who need time to trust. I'm calm, patient, and completely comfortable giving medications and keeping careful routines, so pets with extra needs are in steady, attentive hands. Deleyla is amazing! She took such great care of our senior dog and senior cat and fish tanks. I am a little bit of an anxious traveler and worry about my pets while I am out of town. She gave such great updates with photos and videos that always kept me at ease. It was nice coming home to happy pets and my house seemed cleaner than when we left. I would recommend her and hope we get a chance for her to watch our fur babies again.

Deleyla did an excellent job caring for my cats. It was. Nice to come home to nothing broken. She even managed to keep the plants I hadn't gotten repotted watered so they didn't die. Good with plants and animals! I think it just speaks to the level of care that she provides her clients. It's hard to leave our furry children behind, but it helps so much when we know that they are in good hands.
Deleyla took AMAZING care of our three fur babies! She provided ample photos and videos (which we love!) and was nothing but the utmost professional. She left our house in exactly the condition we had left it in, if not better! We will definitely be asking to utilize her services again!!
