“Errin was absolutely lovely housesitting for us over the holidays! My dog Barney has trouble adjusting to new people and she was very patient and understanding of him. She keeps super detailed notes so you know that she won’t forget anything you may need her to do with your pets. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Kayla took care of our pup for 10 days while we were away. Since this was our first time leaving our pup, we were anxious about how he was going to handle these 10 days. But Kayla took such good care of him that he now still goes to the room where they stayed to see if he can find Kayla and her daughter Jenesis. Kayla sent us pictures and videos throughout these 10 days and kept us abreast of everything that went on. Thank you Kayla for taking care of our baby!”

“Absolutely thrilled with our experience with Mirra! From the moment she met our very high-energy dogs (and our rabbit!), it was clear she had a natural connection with animals. Our pups adored her instantly :) Mirra kept us completely at ease with phenomenal communication—always quick to respond and consistently sent the sweetest photo updates that made our day. She handled our wild bunch with incredible professionalism, patience, and genuine care. We came home to happy, well-loved pets, and we can’t thank her enough. 10/10 would book again in a heartbeat!”

“Amber is so wonderful . It’s amazing to be able to not worry while I’m traveling. She checked in and sent really cute pictures every day. I never ever worry about anything when my girls are in her care . It’s fantastic.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and can’t live without them. My specialty is caring for senior (7+yrs old) dogs but I love all ages. I’m currently retired and very flexible with scheduling. I have volunteered regularly at a senior dog sanctuary for 5 years to onboard and train new volunteers in the care and comfort of its 4-legged residents. I have a fenced yard and only one small dog friendly Yorkie in residence. I used to work for a Christian ministry so very trustworthy.
“Kailiany was awesome. Regular updates, our 3 fur kids were happy and healthy when we returned, and she even put the trash out by the road for us. HIGHLY recommend and will definitely book again in the future. Thank you Kylie and Rover!”

“This was the first time we have had someone house sit with our dog. Our senior pup has become more anxious when left for longer periods of time. When he was younger, he had no problem with our neighbors just dropping by occ to fed and let out. We started taking to vet for longer boards (3+days) but he was so anxious after we picked him up, that he would not let us out of his sight. Soo, we decided to try someone staying with him. Rebecca did Great! She was gentle with him and his needs, kept the house clean, followed our directions and tried to accomplish requests as we were away. Quick communication back when we texted. Our pup was calm and did not appear stressed when we got home. He kept looking for Rebecca, though. Missed her. :-)”
“Marina was fantastic with our crew of five cats! She was incredibly communicative throughout the sit, sending regular updates with photos that put our minds at ease every day. She gave all the kitties their regular outside cube time and even kept our fish thriving. What really stood out was how she won over our most particular cat, which is not an easy feat and speaks to her patience and genuine care. We’d trust Marina with our cats (and fish!) again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!”

“Madchen has been amazing with our pup. She kept updating us on his wellbeing on a daily basis. We got lots of pics and felt comfortable with him being under her care. I highly recommend!!”

“We love Kate! She stayed at our place for a few days while we went to Vegas. She was so great with both our dogs. We will definitely have her back for future pet sitting!”

“Catherine was great with Louie! He’s been stressed lately since I’ve been traveling a lot for work, but she put him right at ease. She provided regular updates and left the house tidy and clean when she left.”

“"We can't express how grateful we have found Jason as our dog sitter. If you're looking for a dog sitter who is not only competent and trustworthy but also genuinely passionate about dogs, I wholeheartedly recommend Jason. He provided us with peace of mind during our time away and became a true friend to our furry companions. We'll definitely be reaching out to him for all our future dog-sitting needs!"”

“Trevor was such a great sitter for our labradoodle, Odin. From the start his communication was consistent, clear and he included plenty of updates and pictures. We have our dog on a pretty consistent schedule and Trevor was able to accommodate to everything. We appreciate Trevor and know Odin loved having him with him! Can’t recommend Trevor enough.”

“Caitlin was amazing! She took great care of our dogs and house! She was the right level of communicative and sent us great pictures of the dogs. She also went above and beyond with grooming help for one dog that had a stomach issue. Would definitely book with her again!”

“Maya was an excellent sitter. My dog is not used to people she doesn't know. Maya was patient and had her cuddling up to her in no time. She was on time and took care of everthing. I would definatly ask for her again.”

“Katelyn provided exceptional service, and went above and beyond just house sitting my pup. She provided picture updates everyday, cleaned up after my dude when he got sick, and ensured he got his daily exercise by taking him to the park every morning. Will definitely be requesting her services in the future.”

Errin was wonderful with our dogs! She was reliable, communicative, and kept us updated while we were away, which gave us so much peace of mind. She took great care of everything and made the whole experience easy and stress-free. We’d absolutely book Errin again and highly recommend her!

Kate was wonderful, the best pet-sitter we could have asked for. She was conscientious, considerate, and communicative. She sent us daily updates and pictures of our dogs to let us know all was well. I could not be happier with Kate and would highly recommend her for any job. Thank you, Kate, we really appreciate the job you did.
Sophia did a wonderful job looking after our home and two dogs. They were calm and looked after when we got home, the house was clean and she was even kind enough to take water the garden for us. She communicated very well before during and after, was punctual and honest.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Liberty Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Liberty Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Liberty Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
