If I am caring for my client's pet in their home, I will ask the pet owner if there is a specific schedule that they would like me to follow as well as some emergency contact information and the pet's carrier (for any emergencies). Generally speaking, this is how I would care for the pet, not necessarily in this specific order: 1) I will make sure that there are no harmful objects within the pet's reach; 2) Provide food and water; 3) Play with them; 4) Administer medication, if needed; 5) groom/bathe.

Specific information that would be helpful includes: knowing if your pet takes any specific medications, if it has any allergies, feeding instructions, and veterinarian’s contact information (in case an emergency were to arise and the client is not reachable).
A typical day
The doggo(s) and I will doing lots of fun activities (frisbee, catch, tug a war, etc.) in the nearby parks and walking and exploring the neighborhood together. With the kitties, we'll play with soft plushies, ribbon toys, and go on walks around the neighborhood.

Pet care experience
I've loved dogs and cats since I was a child and I've had numerous experiences with them-both in a professional and personal setting. Since many of my family members and friends are dog and cat owners, I've helped with walking, feeding, bathing, grooming, and playing with newborns to more older and larger ones. I've also volunteered in pet shelters and sometimes we would nurse very sick doggos and kitties back to health or we would bring them out for walks and ensure that they were healthy and ready for adoption.
