Originally from South Africa, I’ve been living in the United States since 2013 and have called Austin home since late 2025—bringing with me an international background spanning South Africa, the UK, and the US. By day I wear a few hats: I’m a writer with a degree in communication science, I work in tech sales, and I’m also beginning to build a formal career in dog training. Experience & Approach With 10 years of experience as a Rover sitter, a perfect 5.0 rating, and 90 glowing reviews, I’ve cared for everything from playful puppies to senior cats needing meds. Over those years I’ve built deep, trusting relationships with dogs of all temperaments—from anxious and fearful dogs to those with leash reactivity, separation anxiety, or dog-to-dog aggression. My approach has always been instinctive and calm—dogs tend to sense immediately that I’m there to keep them safe, nourished, and genuinely happy. I believe great care, like great teaching, begins with truly listening to the individual in front of you. What I Offer Whether it’s energetic trail walks, cozy house-sitting, or quick drop-ins with plenty of playtime and updates, I’m dedicated, responsible, and always go the extra mile—photo updates and peace of mind included. I typically spend a generous amount of time with your pet. Before leaving the house I always make sure they’ve had a potty break, and I ensure fresh water is always available. Scheduling & Rates My schedule is flexible—availability opens up mid-week, with mornings generally kept free Monday through Friday. Weekends can be busier, but I’m always happy to accommodate when possible. Pet care fits seamlessly and joyfully into my routine. Rates are flexible and adjustable based on factors like dog size/breed, number of pets, travel distance, special needs, or holidays—just reach out and we can find something fair that works for both of us.
