About: In high school I briefly volunteered at Keller HSNT and then pivoted to volunteering at a no-kill, nonprofit animal shelter called Operation Kindness where I was trained to properly look after both dogs and cats! I volunteered there for several years and I was able to walk the dogs there too, learning how to provide them a calm walk and to deescalate their stress in response to their environment. Additionally, I have my own two sweet dogs back home and I always take them on long walks and adore caring for them. Since they’re my family’s dogs, I don’t consider caring for them as professional pet care experience, but I do want to mention that my love for Buster and Mojo has taught me a lot of the basics! Although I’ve taken both of them on walks together before, I would prefer to walk one dog at a time when it comes to other people’s dogs, given that I am less familiar with their temperaments and I want to ensure that everything goes smoothly! Other than that, I absolutely loveeee animals and I enjoy spending time with them! I’ve looked after several of my friends’ dogs before and have been paid to walk some of my neighborhood dogs in high school, as well as dog and cat-sit for them! As a sophomore at UT, classes and student org events are what primarily make up my schedule. I’m usually pretty free on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, because I have classes until 10am those days. On Tuesdays and Thursdays however, my time is more limited because I’m generally unavailable until late afternoon on those days. Caring for a pet at a client’s home includes being incredibly knowledgeable of my client’s boundaries regarding their home, as well as communicating important parts of their pet’s routine. Safety is incredibly essential, and I know that my time and attention towards their pet is crucial: I have never allowed myself to pay more attention to my phone or other things when what I should be paying the greatest level of attention to is the client’s pet.

“Isabel was absolutely fantastic with our six-month-old puppy, Oliver! This was our first time leaving him with someone new, and our original sitter fell through at the last minute. I reached out to Isabel on Rover just two days before we needed someone, and she responded within about 20 minutes and was able to help us out. From the very beginning, Isabel made us feel completely at ease. We FaceTimed beforehand, and she asked incredibly thoughtful questions—especially since Oliver is still a puppy and in the middle of training. She asked what commands we use, exactly how we say them, what his routine looks like around meals, and other questions I honestly wouldn’t have even thought to bring up with a sitter. When she came over, she let us know as soon as she arrived and afterward sent a detailed update with photos. She told us when she fed Oliver, what games they played, how he behaved, and even shared thoughtful observations about his personality. I really appreciated how attentive and engaged she was rather than simply stopping by to let him out and feed him. Most importantly, I came away from the experience feeling incredibly confident trusting Isabel with Oliver. You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals she watches and takes the responsibility seriously. All of her amazing reviews make complete sense after experiencing it firsthand. Isabel is a 10/10, and we would absolutely book her again. I highly recommend her!”

About: Hi!! I’m currently a nursing student at The University of Texas at Austin, and I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life. I’m originally from Marshall, TX, where I grew up in the country surrounded by dogs. Being raised in that environment taught me from a young age how much patience, attention, and care dogs need. I have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, along with experience volunteering and shadowing at veterinary clinics. I have a genuine passion for dogs and want every pup in my care to feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Whether your pup is energetic and adventurous or prefers to spend the day cuddling on the couch, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at! I am currently a nursing student so my schedule is pretty strict, but I would love to help out when I can!! Currently I am accepting occasional walks on the weekend and primarily Wednesday before 11:00 AM, all day Thursday, and all day Friday (except from 12:30-3:00). I currently live in an apartment in west campus, so I do not have a yard!! I am currently not taking on overnight or extended stays, and daycare would vary depending on the situation and the pup!!
