About: In high school I briefly volunteered at Keller HSNT and then pivoted to volunteering at a no-kill, nonprofit animal shelter called Operation Kindness where I was trained to properly look after both dogs and cats! I volunteered there for several years and I was able to walk the dogs there too, learning how to provide them a calm walk and to deescalate their stress in response to their environment. Additionally, I have my own two sweet dogs back home and I always take them on long walks and adore caring for them. Since they’re my family’s dogs, I don’t consider caring for them as professional pet care experience, but I do want to mention that my love for Buster and Mojo has taught me a lot of the basics! Although I’ve taken both of them on walks together before, I would prefer to walk one dog at a time when it comes to other people’s dogs, given that I am less familiar with their temperaments and I want to ensure that everything goes smoothly! Other than that, I absolutely loveeee animals and I enjoy spending time with them! I’ve looked after several of my friends’ dogs before and have been paid to walk some of my neighborhood dogs in high school, as well as dog and cat-sit for them! As a sophomore at UT, classes and student org events are what primarily make up my schedule. I’m usually pretty free on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, because I have classes until 10am those days. On Tuesdays and Thursdays however, my time is more limited because I’m generally unavailable until late afternoon on those days. Caring for a pet at a client’s home includes being incredibly knowledgeable of my client’s boundaries regarding their home, as well as communicating important parts of their pet’s routine. Safety is incredibly essential, and I know that my time and attention towards their pet is crucial: I have never allowed myself to pay more attention to my phone or other things when what I should be paying the greatest level of attention to is the client’s pet.

About: I've been taking care of pets since I was a young child. Always having dogs and cats of my own to care for, my friends and family have always relied on me to sit their fur babies when they are away. Recently I pet sat for a litter of puppies and a momma doggie. I had to make specialty food gruel for the puppies and monitor momma to make sure she was healthy. I helped the puppies nurse and always made sure they had fresh bedding (since they poop all over). I also had to care for another male dog in the same house and make sure he was kept away from the room that the momma and puppies were in. It was such an amazing experience and I would love to do it again. I also volunteer at the Austin Animal Shelter (Austin Pets Alive), where I work in the parvovirus unit working with extremely sick puppies. I administer oral medication, clean up their poop, do daily feedings and have experinece in IV treatments. I also volunteer in the cat unit helping sick and injured cat rehabilitate giving oral and IV medication, cleaning wounds and feedings. My belated kitty, Morrisis, was a senior cat, who in his later years, became paralyzed from the waist down. I did daily physical therapy with him, built him specialized litter boxes and a set of wheels to get around with. I also had to clean his wounds and poop off of his rear end, since he no longer had control of his bladder. I administered CBD to help with pain management. There is a special place in my heart for sick and disabled animals and I give them just as much love as every animal deserves, which is all of my love. I my free time, I foster stray cats in my neighborhood, taking them to their first vet appointments, getting shots and managing any sickness they may have. I foster them myself until I can find a suitable forever home for them. My work schedule is usually 5 hours a day. This allows me to do Drop In services and walks before my full time job, as well as multiple times afterwards. Throughout the week or weekend I am more than happy to house sit and give lots of attention and care to your fur babies morning, afternoon, evening and over night. When I am in my clients home, I allow supervised playtime outside and will keep your pup entertained. In the heat of Texas summers I will minimize outside play time and play with your pup more inside so they do not get over heated, unless you request otherwise. I do 2-3 walks a day depending on the dogs breed, age and anynhealth concerns. I'll take them around the neighborhood to stretch their legs or on a local hiking trail/ park if they are a more active dog. I keep a close inventory on any medications the animal may have and stick to the correct time for administering medication/ wound treatment. Meal time is usually on a schedule, unless you free feed, and I will always make sure there is cold fresh water available for your fur babies (cats and dogs alike). For kitties, I will engage them in playtime and try to get out their zoomies so they do not tear up furniture, unless they are sick or injured.

About: The house I grew up in may as well have been a zoo! Every kind of animal, all of them cared for and loved 🫶 I have house/pet sat for numerous family members, friends, friends of friends, etc. and have always approached the responsibilities involved with the utmost care and respect. All animals deserve love and attention and that's something I'm happy to help provide, even if just for a quick walk or drop-in visit! My schedule is flexible and I’m willing to accommodate to you and your pet’s schedules. As long as it isn’t super super late, it should work out alright. Happy to do what I can to make your dog happy and comfortable! I’m unable to bring dogs to my house currently, but can easily travel to yours to care for your pup.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their fur babies while their lives are busy! It brings me a lot of joy to take care and connect with animals. I work from home Wednesdays + Fridays from 9:30-5:30. Tuesdays and Thursdays I have flexibility because my office is down the street, so I can always come back for a lunch walk This schedule allows me the freedom to feed, walk, and be with your animal babies a lot! Whether they're in my home or a client's home, I am always making sure waters bowls are full, pets are loved, and they are happy and behaving normally.

About: I'm an experienced pet owner and sitter. I love both cats and dogs to death and would do anything to spend a little time with them! I've raised three cats from kittens and am comfortable with the disgusting ins and outs of pet caretaking, including vomit, hairballs, and unsightly poop textures! I really don't mind getting my hands dirty. I even volunteer at cat shelters, and was recently named volunteer of the month at the Stray Cat Alliance. In terms of pet care, I'm a graduate student so I have plenty of flexibility in my schedule to make sure your pet gets the care they need. With indoor cats, I really try to prioritize stimulation through playtime (if they're comfortable). I'm comfortable delivering medicine to cats orally and am pretty experienced in reading cat body language (if they want more or less attention, if they're not feeling well, etc). I'm also taking on these pet jobs primarily because I really like spending time with cats and dogs, so I really look forward to just hanging with them, if that's what they want. Drop in visits: For a drop in visit, what I'll typically do is change out litter (once a day), feed the kitty, and hang out / snuggle / play for the remainder of the time (30 minutes to an hour). You'll get picture updates each time I drop in. Drop-in visits will be timed so that the cat is alone for the least amount of time possible between visits! I'm very easy to reach throughout the day so will be available for questions / concerns about your pet while you're away. I'm a graduate student so I have plenty of time to care for your pets, whether that means housesitting or dropping by to check in on them while you're at work or on a trip. Throughout the rest of this year, I'm available anytime during the week except for some short periods during the day on Mondays and Wednesdays. I like to think I'm a trustworthy and dependable person to have in your home for catcare! I'm a pretty thorough person as well, so anything you tell me about specifics of caring for your cat within your home, I'll take care to abide by.
