“Ashley & Carter was a great host to our little dog (Hope). This was Hope's first experience boarding, so we were worried about how things will turn out, but Ashley and Carter did a great job, warming up and taking care of Hope. She was very accommodating to our request and was on point on the picture updates and texting us how things were. Hope had so much fun, that she seems like she didn't want to leave when we picked her up. We thank you for taking in our little Hope and giving her a great nice relaxed vacation. Consider us your regulars now... Hope is looking forward to see you guys again soon, & she misses you & Carter already..”

“I must have done something right in a past life to have found someone as caring, amazing, and intentional as Kate to look after Princess. I got photos and videos everyday of her playing and having a good time, and she came back happy as ever. It was my first time leaving for over 2 weeks, and I was nervous, but all that went away when I saw my pup was in the best hands. I recommend to everyone.”

“Ryan was such a great sitter! From the start, he was thorough and laid out all the details and expectations. On the day of drop off, he was very accommodating - when I was running late for my flight, he immediately agreed to come pick Zara up instead of having me drop her off. I also received daily updates and pictures! I could tell Zara had a great time with Ryan and I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a kind and loving sitter :)”

“Anjana is an absolute star! I was mostly out of cell range during my trip and I knew my cat was so safe in her incredibly capable hands. She was very communicative and sent plenty of pictures! My cat is mischievous and she cleaned up several messes, gave him lots of love and made sure he was well taken care of.”

“We were out of the country when significantly inclement weather hit Austin. Sarah not only moved up the time of our cats' check-in on that day to make sure they weren't too shaken up but also added on an extra (daily) check-in until we were back in town. Even without the unusual weather, each visit came with multiple photos, videos, and updates. She's also great with shy cats--one of our cats is extremely shy around new humans, and Sarah was able to get him to show his face and even play and accept treats :)”

“Lara did a great job of caring for our baby. He absolutely adored her and she followed directions perfectly. She was great at providing updates. I would highly recommend Lara and will use her in the future!”

“Kate is incredible! We have used her 3 times now and she is great. She gives very detailed visit summaries and takes so many pictures. I feel very comfortable with her watching my cat, will definitely boom again :)”

“Joan was the absolute sweetest when caring my girl Toothless. She was so communicative, thorough, and paid so much attention to detail when I wasn’t able to on this busy trip away. I love how she would include some many pictures from the check in and was very descriptive about each visit. I could not recommend her more to care for your pets!”

“Erin was great! It was my first time going out of town since moving to a new area, and I felt very comfortable knowing she was able to check in on my cat while I was away. She also vacuumed around the litter box and put the garbage outside, which I really appreciated. Will definitely book her again in the future!”

“Nina was a wonderful sitter for my kitty, (also named) Nina! She made time to meet us beforehand and clearly had experience with cats :) she brought over calming energy and sent sweet photos of lap time snuggles. I was grateful for her and would easily recommend and rebook her again! thanks Nina ✨”

“Sierra is the best! She was on time, responsive and Sasha absolutely loved her. She is usually a bit timid with new faces but she took to Sierra right away. It is super clear that Sierra is an animal lover & takes excellent care. It really helped me be stress free traveling this past weekend. Would absolutely book again. Thank you Sierra!”

“Kody took good care of my cats over a few days. He’s communicative and followed all instructions I gave him. He was even able to get my cat to eat her pill pocket. I appreciate how he prioritized finding a safe time to check in on my cats, even when the weather was bad!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I couldn't have found a better sitter! She went above and beyond in all ways possible. I also got tons of photos of the kitties from her too.”
“Claire is awesome! I have booked her for drop-in visits for my cat multiple times and every time I get pictures of him happily being brushed or purring on the carpet (his favorite place). She has cleaned his litter box multiple times, taken out the trash, and also cleaned up the little accidents he sometimes has when he's home alone. She is professional, a good communicator, has good availability, and I always come home to a happy, healthy cat. Claire is great, and I will keep booking with her as long as she is on Rover!”

“Lots of room for Nyx to play with other the other dogs. The host was professional and efficient also very nice and straight forward about what she expects. I look forward to the next time for sure”

About: For 13 years I've taken care of dogs, cats, river turtles, hamsters and snakes (yeah 😂). Literally count me in for anything you need 🤍 I'm a morning person so, in case you're running late for work, I'll take care of the angel ✨ My schedule is very open at the moment. Currently available to work at your home and make the most out of it. I also like them to socialize so, if beach or park is accessible nearby, I like to have them walk around and meet other angels 🙏🏻🤍
“Aimee was amazing! She took such good care of our pup. Always made sure she felt comfortable with her and other dogs staying with her. She also gives very detail updates, which I loved! Would recommend 100%!”

“Yesenia is always the best sitter for our pup. She has wonderful communication and makes me feel so comfortable leaving my dog with her. She sends lots of photos and makes you feel reassured that your pup is in the best hands!”

About: I've taken care of friend's and family's dogs for years! Natural dog lover at heart but unfortunately haven't been able to adopt a fur-friend of my own. Experience with shy timid dogs that need a calm friendly companion to look after them! I currently WFH so have lots of time to spend with you pups! Available for day care and boarding week days and or weekends depending on need Live without any other pets so your pup will have a calm relaxing environment to stay and roam in (plus all the undivided attention!). Can easily crate your dog too if needed
About: Hello! My name is JJ and I'm a trail runner that decided to combine the two things I love the most: exercise and animals. I have been providing pet care for dogs, cats and other household pets full-time for over 8 years in Austin now. I am currently providing pet care full-time during the week and often have weekend availability. As a pet parent and a user of Rover pet sitters myself, I know how important good communication and reliability is when you are away from your pet family. I prioritize responding promptly to all booking requests and communication throughout the duration of booked appointments. This includes happily answering questions, sending updates and pet pictures of each visit. For me, communication, transparency and trust are key to having a worry-free workday or trip away! PET CARE: *NEW* Now offering boarding and doggie daycare. My partner and I purchased a house in North Shoal Creek and can now host up to 4 dogs. My partner, Josh Cross, is a software developer and works from home, so visiting pets will always have a human companion while I am away on walks and check-ins. I offer check-ins for dogs, cats and other household pets, to give them food, water, bathroom breaks, clean litter boxes, etc. If there is ever a package or mail by the door, I always bring it inside, as well. WALKS: If your dog(s) just need a potty break and some exercise, I’m more than happy to go for 30-60 minute walks. I typically use my own waist leash, but I can use your leash, if preferred, and I have a tandem leash attachment to take two dogs for an outing together, if needed. RUNS: For dogs that like to run, I can jog at your dogs pace for 30-60 minutes. Slow or fast, with water breaks, walk breaks, and potty breaks. On hot days, I prioritize finding the shadiest routes in the area and run in the grass when possible. For running dogs, I prefer them to wear a body harness or gentle leader, if available. *I offer a limited number of dog runs per day depending on daily volume.* My love for animals comes from growing up with a family that spoiled inside pets of many species and sizes. I cherished my own chihuahua, Zeus, of 14 years. Nowadays, I share a big, sweet super-mutt named Ozzie with my partner, Josh. I currently have weekday availability during traditional work hours, but I also have some evenings and weekends available. I don’t prefer to book recurring weekly appointments on the weekends. I regularly keep my Rover calendar updated and list the dates I’m out of town in my profile, in case I don’t have reception on vacation, usually a camping trip. I prefer to use a waist leash, which is safer and more secure than holding a leash in my hand. Please supply waste bags and any treats you would like me to give to your pet.
“Our pup Alfie recently spent the day with Stephanie and we were very pleased with his stay. Our boy hasn't met a lot of people yet so he was a little anxious when we dropped him off. Stephanie kept us updated throughout the day and our boy finally settled in after an hour. We really appreciated her updates and we could tell she was very knowledgeable about the behavior of dogs. We will be using Stephanie for all of our doggy boarding needs. Thank you!”

“Linda was great to work with! My dog absolutely loved being with her - after the second day he'd go willingly wait in his kennel for the morning pick-ups while I was getting ready for work. Linda was so communicative throughout the day, flexible when my schedule changed, and also very communicative in scheduling the day care. I would hands down use her again! Oh - I also loved receiving the daily cards and updates at the end of each session.”

About: Hi! My name is Sabrina! I am a nurse here in Austin. I’ve always loved animals but could never have them growing up. My family adopted two beautiful dogs who live with them elsewhere, but getting my two babies was one of the best things I’ve ever done they’ve been there for me in all my moments good and bad. I miss them all the time! Since I don’t have my own animals I love Rover because I get my fill with doggy love. I’m very patient with all animals and will treat them like they’re my own. I will put your animal first and although I will be working at a hospital 3X a week, I still have alot of free time! Your pets will almost never be home alone as I have a wonderful partner, he works from home and will hang out with your pet and give them so much love. I love walks and cuddles! I will care for your animal like they are one of my own! Can’t wait to meet them!! Like I said up top my only priorities are my job. It is alot of work but I have managed well and anytime I am not home my partner will hang out with your pet. I do need a pick up and drop off time at the time of booking so I can plan things I need to get done around it. Other then work or the occasional run to the store or errands I should be with them

“They were fabulous!!! My dog Inez loved playing with their pup Willy and I got several pics and videos throughout the day. She seemed very tired and content when she got home! Extra special thanks to Katherine because our flight coming back was delayed several times and she was so nice being flexible with having to change pickup time. Would definitely recommended!!”

“Angela and her roommate Kelly did a great job of watching our dog Nellie. They both clearly love animals and go the extra mile to make sure you and your pet are comfortable. This was our dog's first pet sit and she did not understand at first that the "no potty inside" rules applied in other's homes as well but Angela was so patient and understanding.”

“Amanda and Jared are the most amazing dog watching couple! They absolutely love our dog and are so attentive when they watch him. Not only do they send pics with updates but they treat him like their own. 100% recommend for anyone needing a dog sitter!”

“Timmy had a great time with Valerie. She took excellent care of him and while he was there, she sent pictures of all the fun he was having at her home. He’s happily exhausted now and really enjoyed his stay. Thank you for taking such good care of my pup. ♥️”

“My dog Otto had a fun day with Kristen and her family. Kristen has a nice fenced in yard for dogs and her house is across the street from a park where they spent lots of time. Kristen also has lots of dog toys in her yard that Otto enjoyed playing with. Kristen's dog Zoey is very sweet and would get along with any dog, and Kristen's children took an interest in Otto. Kristen sent pictures even though I didn't request them (thank you!), she was very flexible about drop off and pick up times, and her location in South Austin was very convenient for us. I recommend Kristen without reservation.”

“Ashley does an incredible job with my pup, Kona. I was a bit nervous about leaving her with someone else, but Ashley made me feel really comfortable and gave me a lot of updates! She also has been incredibly flexible with my crazy schedule and accommodating with Kona's preference to only be with smaller dogs. Thanks Ashley!”

About: I've never met a dog or cat I can't win over. I meet them at their pace, never pushing unwanted interaction onto them. I have volunteered and fostered for multiple shelters. I have experience administering medicine, grooming, and bathing. Currently working part-time, so I'm relatively free to look after pets. I am also a morning person, and I don't mind getting up early to check in on and walk someone's baby, especially with how hot it is right now. I will follow your guidance on your dog or cat's care in your household to a T. I want to alleviate the stress an animal may feel meeting a new person by sticking to their usual routine.
“We loved Mariia taking care of our pets for the week. She fed our cat and walked the dog twice a day- was always on time, clearly communicated, and was always friendly and professional. I would trust her in my home anytime.”

About: I spent more than a decade loving a very large, very opinionated German Shepherd named Ruta through epilepsy, severe allergies, endless medication schedules, and his senior years, so “high-maintenance” pets don’t scare me. I tend to love them even harder. These days I’m supervised by Edwin, my mini Aussie rescue, who has strong opinions about other dogs, delivery trucks, and apparently several completely innocent squirrels. Living with him has made me very comfortable with boundaries, reactivity, slow introductions, and the fact that not every dog wants to be everybody’s friend. I’m also the person who genuinely wants the six-paragraph document explaining exactly how your dog likes breakfast. Give me the quirks, the routines, the medications, the weird little rules, the favorite toy, the thing they absolutely will not do unless you ask them in a very specific way. I want to know all of it. Basically: I take your pet seriously without taking myself too seriously. And yes, I will probably send you too many pictures. My schedule is pretty flexible, which means I can usually work around your pet’s normal routine. Walks, meals, potty breaks, meds, couch hangs; tell me what they’re used to and I’ll do my best to keep things consistent. Tell me everything. What’s their routine? What makes them nervous? Are they an escape artist? A sock eater? Do they lose their mind when a skateboard goes by? How are they on leash? I’m big on respecting a pet’s boundaries and keeping their routine as familiar as possible. I’d much rather know about a quirk or trigger ahead of time than be surprised by it later.
About: I’ve been a dog owner for the last 25 years of my life. I just love how every pet has its own personality and how you connect on different levels with them. I treat every animal like my own, with patience, play and lots of belly rubs! I’m a homemaker so I have plenty of time especially in the mornings when my daughter is at school; and since I just have one kid and one dog I’m very available I have a fence yard in my house and a dog park in my neighborhood as well as a dog park just across the street

“Lily is AWESOME!!! Justice (my precious dog), was anxious when he first met her, but Lily was extremely patient and SO VERY loving and gentle with him - Needless to say, Lily quickly won him over!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! ❤️”

“Amelia is great! She’s been prompt and great, we had some issues with the building elevator etc and was ready to accommodate and make sure my pup was taken care of. I couldn’t recommend her more, she’s been great and I look forward to rebooking with her in the future 🙂”

“Olivia is great she is very polite, professional and attentive with my pet's needs and has great communication skills I can be at work and know my pet is in good hands. I would highly recommend her services!”

I live on a second floor apartment so your pet will need to be able to go up and down stairs. I have 1 bedroom with a good amount of space and sun spots for them to play and lay out.
“Very communicative and responsible with our young and vivacious puppy. Christian worked her flawlessly on walks, reinforcing some training we’ve been doing while adapting to any particular needs she had that day. I would highly recommend!”

“Faith was amazing and easy to communicate with. She cleaned up a small accident which she def didn’t need to. Marley was happy as could be when I got home. Will def use Faith again.”

About: I am able to care for all animals. I have had dogs my entire life and lived with cats. I am young and able to walk as long as your pet needs! My schedule is currently open since I am a graduate student, meaning my summers are free! I have my own dog but in the middle of the day and late afternoon I am open. I am available to take your pets on long walks, keep them company, and give them treats! I am used playing fetch for long period of time or crating pets before I leave the home.
“Del is extremely communicative and she was great with my dog Charli! She sent updates on their walks and made sure Charli had enough time outside. I definitely recommend!”

“Christine and Colin took amazing care of my Tieghan! It was my first time leaving her with someone outside of family and I felt comfortable from the minute I dropped her off. They sent consistent pictures and updates on how she was doing throughout the 5 days I was gone and were really flexible with pick up and drop off times. Tieghan barely wanted to leave when I arrived to take her home and it was clear they really treated her as their own! I will absolutely be using Christine and Colin again and cannot recommend them enough.”

They take her for walks regularly, let her play outside in their large, private yard and they sent us lots of photos so we could see how she was doing. She had a great time and we will definitely use them again soon. Highly recommend!”
“Valerie kept our cute Murphy for 7 days. He is notoriously shy and takes a long while to warm up to people. Just after a few days he felt at home. He actually enjoyed her backyard and even walked around her house. She was patient and so loving towards him. We highly recommend Valerie and will use her again if we are lucky enough to go on another family vacation.”

“Bassam did a great job taking care of my cat while I was on vacation! I was nervous about boarding her but it couldn’t be avoided and Bassam made sure she was as a comfortable as possible.”

“Having Bourbon board with Giovanna was an absolute delight. They got to meet ahead of time and he took to her immediately. He can be anxious and he takes time getting comfortable with strangers, but within 20 minutes they were already bonding. She was very responsive and communicative throughout this experience. She sent the right amount of updates, so I was able to enjoy my time away without any worries. After 5 days with her, he barely wanted to come back home with me! I would highly recommend Giovanna as a boarder if you are looking for a safe and loving environment for your pups.”
