I also like to learn about their personality, favorite toys, and hiding spots so I can make them feel comfortable. Safety is important too, so I ask whether they’re indoor-only or allowed outside, and always keep vet and emergency contacts on hand.

A typical day of cat and dog care includes fresh food and water, bathroom and walk breaks, a clean litter box, and plenty of play or cuddles. I send photo updates during the day so you know your pet is happy, and always make sure everything is safe and secure before leaving.

I’ve loved animals my whole life and grew up in a home full of cats and dogs…17 total! Over the years, I’ve cared for both cats and dogs, giving me plenty of pet sitting experience. Most recently, I fostered a cat until she was adopted while simultaneously taking care of my own, Sesame, so I understand the love, patience, and attention pets need to feel safe and happy. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, or just company, I’ll make sure your pet feels cared for like family.

Joan is an amazing cat sitter. This is my 2nd time having her watch my cats for a whole week while I was away. She’s kind, reliable, and genuinely cares about my girls. I always feel completely at ease knowing they’re in her care when I’m away. She keeps me updated and makes sure they’re happy and comfortable, not just “checked on.” I always come home to a clean space and well-cared-for cats. Highly recommend her!
Absolutely recommend Joan!! She took amazing care of my two cats, Stassi and Lady Gaga, and truly went above and beyond. She sent detailed, thoughtful updates that made it easy to relax while I was away, and it was clear she really cared about the girls and their routines. During a snowstorm, she also went out of her way to drip my faucets, check on the house, and bring in my mail without being asked, which I appreciated so much!! Reliable, kind, and incredibly thoughtful. I would 100% book Joan again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter they can truly trust. Thanks again Joan!!
Joan was fantastic. Very communicative and sent plenty of updates and photos. Flexible. Left the house in perfect order following instructions to a T. Our pup had plenty of fetch and cuddles and looked to have a great time!
