I’ve loved animals my whole life and grew up in a home full of cats and dogs…17 total! Over the years, I’ve cared for both cats and dogs, giving me plenty of pet sitting experience. Most recently, I fostered a cat until she was adopted while simultaneously taking care of my own, Sesame, so I understand the love, patience, and attention pets need to feel safe and happy. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, or just company, I’ll make sure your pet feels cared for like family.

When I’m caring for cats or dogs in your home, I make sure their space stays secure: doors and windows checked, food and water refreshed, bathroom and walk breaks, and litter boxes kept clean. I also spend quality time with them so they feel comfortable and cared for, not just looked after!

Joan was awesome. Was great to have someone so reliable to drop in and check on my cat. She brushed him, vacuumed, and left my trash outside which was very appreciated and above and beyond what I asked! And I could tell from her updates that my cat liked her!!

Miss Joan here must be a kitten whisperer. I gave her my spunky, energetic kitten Cinnamon and she gave me endless photos of him sleeping cozily in her lap. This was my first time hiring a Rover sitter and I was so impressed and relieved by how seamless Joan made this process. She left my home spotless to boot! Thank you!
Joan was the absolute sweetest when caring my girl Toothless. She was so communicative, thorough, and paid so much attention to detail when I wasn’t able to on this busy trip away. I love how she would include some many pictures from the check in and was very descriptive about each visit. I could not recommend her more to care for your pets!

Schedule
I work fully remote, so my schedule is pretty flexible! Weekdays at the easiest for me, but I am open to weekends as well :)

- Before caring for a cat or dog, it’s helpful to know their feeding schedule, litter box/bathroom break routine, and any health needs like medications or allergies. I also like to learn about their personality, favorite toys, and hiding spots so I can make them feel comfortable. Safety is important too, so I ask whether they’re indoor-only or allowed outside, and always keep vet and emergency contacts on hand.
