About: My family got their first dog while I was in high school and I have been caring for dogs ever since! I’ve cared for friends dogs in the past and now I have one of my own who is just the sweetest gal. I’d love to eventually get a second dog but for now caring for others seems like the perfect alternative. I do have a preference for smaller breeds but am open to bigger dogs as long as they can be gentle with smaller dogs. I am currently hybrid at a very flexible job and typically go into the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. When I go into the office I go in later in the mornings and spend about 1.5 -2 hrs there. The max time I’ll spend at the office at one point is 3 hours but this is not the norm. Other than that time I spend the majority of my time at home and am able to give your pup all my attention and snuggles. My apartment building has a fenced in dog park where I can take your pup to for potty breaks and safe outside playtime. I also have a balcony with a grass patch for any early morning or late night potty breaks. Pet safety is my number one priority so when I’m not home both mine & your pup would be kept in different rooms with cameras watching them to make sure no one is in distress. I’m also open to doing meet and greets at my place before your pet’s stay with me so that you’ll be able to see what type of environment your pet would be in and how our pups interact with each other. My dog is a 1 year old dachshund who just loves other dogs and would make sure your dog feels right at home!

“5 ⭐️s! I’ve been using Rover since 2017, so I’m familiar with the variety of care takers that Rover attracts. If you want a loving, hands on, kind and attentive pet sitter, Manuela is your girl. She watched my pup Xena for the afternoon and Xena loved her so much she didn’t want to leave! Manuela’s pup is playful, kind, and well behaved. The perfect play mate! I highly recommend Manuela as a sitter and I can’t wait to return! Thank you so much 🙏🏾”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my deep understanding of both pet behavior and care. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I having had dogs most of my life, I understand the importance of routine, exercise, and mental stimulation. Your pet won’t just be cared for—they’ll thrive and be loved in your absence. I currently work from home, so I am immediately available to take them on walks, etc. I understand the importance of routine in our lives. I have quick access to lovely dog-friendly spaces downtown. I can accommodate your dog’s crate with ease. My lovely building is filled with great pets.

About: I’ve had at least 2 dogs ever since I can remember, I recently moved and can’t afford to have one at my new apartment complex so I’m missing some puppy love! I would love to walk and sit with your babies while you are away! I am a teacher so my summer is completely open, meaning I’m free anytime you may need me to visit or walk your pets for you! I am more than happy to visit your home so your pup is in the most comfortable environment for them. After a few visits with your pet I would be open to having them at my home if that’s something that would make you more comfortable. I also have a dog park at my apartment if you would like your dog to socialize with other pups.

“Jenna took amazing care of Lois — her attention to detail and thoughtful communication went above and beyond. I would recommend her without hesitation for anyone looking for an incredible dog sitter for their loved one 🙏☺️”

About: Dogs have always been an extension of my family. I’ve had them my whole life and currently care for my 18-year-old chihuahua mix rescue, so I’m especially mindful of senior needs and giving pets the patience and love they deserve. I work from home, live in a pet-friendly apartment with a dog park on-site, and I’m just a stroll away from dog-friendly cafes and parks, perfect for pups who love fresh air and social time. Whether your dog needs play, snuggles, or a little extra attention, I’m here for it all. Pet care is part of my everyday life; it’s second nature. Since I work from home, I build my day around walks, outdoor breaks, meals, and quality time with my senior pup. I’m used to working with a pet nearby and love having that companionship throughout the day. Whether it’s a quick potty break or a longer walk, I’ve got the flexibility to give pets the attention they need. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or theirs, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment. In my home, pets are welcome on the furniture, dog fur doesn’t scare me one bit. I have a cozy space, an on-site dog park, and the flexibility to give them plenty of attention since I work remotely. I follow each pet’s routine closely, feeding, walks, meds, playtime, and always keep pet parents updated with messages and photos. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and make sure pets feel secure and comfortable, sticking to familiar routines to reduce any stress.

“Maggie took great care of my dog & would definitely recommend. She provided great updates and was very responsive. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again :-)”

“I just moved to Austin & my biggest stresser was finding care for my fur baby. I’m SO happy I found Suzanne because she helped take all of that away! She is great at communicating, friendly, professional & flexible. You can tell that she really cares about the dogs & wants them to have fun but also be safe. She’s been a life saver for me! Highly recommend!”

About: I've personally cared for 5 cats and 3 dogs starting at the age of 12. Your pup will get nothing but love and attention during their time with me. I have a 8.5 year old pup myself, and he is super non-confrontational and friendly. I have a fenced dog park inside my apartment building, so your doggie doesn't even have to leave the complex. Of course, being in Zilker, I'm available to take him or her on a really enjoyable walk through the neighborhood as well! I currently work from home during the day. Having a dog of my own, I'm already taking him out for regular potty trips and play. I have a very large fenced in dog park at my apartment complex which is great for dogs with lots of energy or younger pups that need to go out frequently.

“Ashley is awesome and my dog is always so happy to see her!!”

About: Hello! My name is Chloe and I absolutely love dogs! I have worked with dogs almost all of my life, through dog sitting, training, and volunteer opportunities. I have also been fortunate to love several of my own dogs, who occupied some of the most important relationships in my life. I currently do not own a dog, and I would love to spend time caring and loving yours! Barton Springs/Zilker Park are right outside the door of the spacious apartment I share with my husband. I am a full-time PhD student at the University of Texas at Austin. Especially during the summers, I have all the time in the world for walking, playing, and taking care of your pet! If your pet has any special needs I am more than willing to accommodate them. Can’t wait to hear from you! I am a PhD student who spends most of my day at home. Pet care would fit into my schedule seamlessly, with the ability for around-the-clock care. When I accept client's pets into my home, I treat them as I would my own. This means that they become a part of my day-to-day life in a loving, caring way and are seldom left alone.

“Alison has been taking care of dogs, her own and others for years. Once she was taking care of a dog who lived close to where she went to school. Old West Austin dog parents share their Rover experiences
I had to leave my 2 year old dog for daycare for a day while visiting Austin, and Alexandra did a wonderful job. He had fun with her all day and Alexandra kept me updated with pictures. I’ll definitely keep him with Alexandra next time I’m visiting Austin.

Marissa did an amazing job watching my dog Blue! I instantly felt comfortable dropping him off at her house as she was very welcoming to Blue - you could tell she had experience working with dogs. When I picked my dog up the next day I just knew he had a great time! Thank you!

Denise was so amazing with Finley. Sometimes he takes a while to warm up to people, and within an hour he was sleeping on her lap! We will definitely be using Denise again-- she has a way with animals.

Jose is the awesome! He takes such great care of my dog Ford—I totally trust him. He’s super attentive, sends me video updates (which I love!), and even works on basic training with the dogs. Ford is always happy to see him, and I can tell he’s in great hands. Highly recommend!

Willow had a great time playing with the other pups and was well taken care of by Erika. I got photo and video updates during her stay. Communication was great and response time was very fast. Erika was flexible for us even when our plans changed and we had to pick up Willow early.

Van was an amazing sitter and Lois absolutely loves her! She sent regular updates, photos and was an awesome communicator. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience ☺️

Cassandra and Jason took good care of Zamin and sent updates. The pictures are so adorable… everything went smoothly. I had requested a same day care with them as I made a last minute trip to Austin and needed a place for my pup for a couple of hours. They were really quick to respond and accepted, the booking process went smoothly. Thank you so much!

Aiden and Lacey were great with our pup Ruby - she’s a little smaller than some of their regular daycare pups but they kept an eye on her and made sure she had a good experience. She came home exhausted and happy, would definitely send her to Wayside again!

Last minute, morning of, I needed a dog sitter. Maggie promptly came to the rescue! With her having a dog of her own, and being able to pick and drop my dog off, I knew I was in good hands. Will definitely keep Maggie in mind for future bookings!

Kayla was wonderful! Super responsive and has a fantastic set-up for taking care of dogs. Will definitely book again!

Haley is so sweet with my baby Moonie. I felt so comfortable leaving her there with her. Good quality walks. Plenty of love and schedule flexibility. Will definitely book in the future.

The best and took care of Daisy like her own!! She went way above and beyond my expectations and my pup is so happy and cared for when I get home!! Highly recommend

Luke spent the whole day with my dog, tired her out, and left her looking back at the door longingly when we left! Would recommend him to anyone looking for dog care in the East Austin area!

Carolyn was the best sitter and really bonded with Lois. She treated her as if she were her own and sent lots of updates throughout each day. I couldn’t recommend her more if you are looking for an amazing sitter for your pup ❤️

Quinn is great!! Very kind and accommodating. Great communication and has a very sweet dog to keep your dog company. I can tell my dog had a great time under his care. Highly recommend!

Sofia was great! She took such great care of Willie and was super responsive and accommodating. Definitely recommend to anyone who’s looking for a sitter last minute :) Found my new sitter!
