Because I work from home, I have the flexibility to adapt to your pet’s routine. Whether your dog needs structured potty breaks, medication, a specific feeding schedule, or simply lots of love and attention, I will follow their needs closely. I understand that consistency is key and I will make sure to provide the same level of structure and comfort they receive at home. If you’re hiring me for walks, I’ll make sure they get plenty of sniffs, enrichment, and affection. For dogs that struggle with leash reactivity, I’ll work on helping them build confidence and practice calm walking habits.

Safety, trust & environment
I try to create a calm, low-stress environment where pets can feel safe and at home. In my care, they’ll have cozy spots to rest, regular potty breaks, and lots of one-on-one attention. For senior or special-needs dogs, I take extra steps to keep them comfortable and safe whether that’s helping with mobility, preventing falls, or managing potty needs and meds. I’m happy to follow whatever routine works best for your pup. I know how important it is for pets, especially shy or medically complex ones, to feel secure. I move slowly, handle them gently, and try to keep things as consistent as possible so they feel at ease.

Information Christian M. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best care possible, I’d love to know: ✔ Your pet’s daily routine, feeding schedule, and any medications ✔ Any mobility limitations or special needs (IVDD, arthritis, blindness, etc.) ✔ Their favorite activities, comfort items, and triggers ✔ Any behavioral quirks, anxiety, or fears so I can create a stress-free environment ✔ If they have any medical conditions that require extra attention Looking forward to meeting your furry family member!
A typical day
A typical day depends entirely on your pup’s needs and personality. For senior and special-needs dogs, that could mean: • Gentle, sniff-filled walks for enrichment • Slow, structured mobility exercises for IVDD or arthritis-prone pups • Calm enrichment activities like puzzle toys or scent work • Cuddles and companionship to provide comfort and security • Medication and care routines to keep them healthy and happy For more active or social dogs, we might spend time in the yard, practice leash manners, or simply relax together. I focus on keeping their routine consistent while ensuring they get the attention, exercise, and engagement they need.

Pet care experience
I’ve spent my life taking care of others. I started as a classroom teacher, then became a school principal, and now I work from home as a consultant supporting schools. During the pandemic I found a new kind of love in dogs. One dog became four, and even as life shifted, my heart for caring never changed. Today I share my home with the two sweet boys in my profile photo, Tex and Yeti. I got into senior and special needs dog care by accident. I adopted a senior dog without realizing he was blind. He became my heart dog and taught me so much about patience and trust. I also learned how hard it is to find someone who truly understands the care these dogs need. If I could, I would adopt every dog who needs a home. I know how hard it is to find care that is both responsible and loving. I simply want to help. Every dog deserves patience, understanding, and someone who truly sees them. I’ve cared for all kinds of wonderful pups, including: • Blind and senior dogs • Dogs with dementia • Paralyzed dogs with IVDD who need manual expression • Diabetic dogs who need insulin and medical routines • Post surgery recovery like TPLO • Anxious and shy dogs • Multi dog homes with different needs and energy levels • And of course the easy, happy go lucky dogs and the occasional puppy with lots of potty breaks
Reviews

We love having Christian walk our dogs! Theyre excited to see her, get the walk they need, the potty breaks, a sip of water, and are comfortably happy the rest of the afternoon til moms get home! It’s such a nice relief knowing they’re in such good hands!!

Christian is wonderful! She’s so great at her attention to detail and communications. We and our pups appreciate her walks each time! we have comfort knowing the pups are in great hands and are well taken care of even with a few detailed nuances!

Christian is great! Jayla is dog reactive so I get nervous with new people but Christian was so communicative and did great with our Jayla girl. Would recommend her to anyone!

Christian is the best! My sweet old girl is quick to anxiety and requires a really calming approach. When I got home, Gracie was calmer than she was when I left! Such a gift.
