Hello! I am a dog caregiver, empty nester dog mama with a family team here to give our care and attention to your dogs whenever you and your fur babies need us. Your dog gets lots of love and attention from our whole family during overnight stays and daycare, which is my focus and joy. I have over 30 years of experience caring for dogs and puppies for both my personal pets and others people's pets since childhood. I was a dog mom of a pack of 3 dogs of my own (all rescues of different sizes I adopted as puppies) for over a decade, that I raised until they passed away and went to dog heaven. I love to baby the doggies and I am excited to meet you and spend quality time with your fur babies! I am at home full time and there is at least 1 other retired family member assistant available to your dog at home full time if I have to run an errand or go out. Daily we have between 2 - 4 family members home and we are all dog lovers. I do exclusive staycations in my home for your dog(s) (in other words, my family and I give all our attention to your dog(s) only and can take care of 1 - 3 dogs from the same household at a time in our home. Your dog(s) must have vaccinations, and be current on deworming medication, and flea/tick prevention. The level of care and love your dogs will get in our home is what sets me apart and is reflected in my video and photo communications during your dogs' staycation. It's very important to me and our family that your dogs get plenty and frequent supervised breaks outside in the backyard garden throughout the day and night to go to the bathroom to get exercise, sunshine and fresh air. We enjoy going into the garden as much as our fur babies do.

Monique was fantastic with Theo! She was very communicative throughout the stay, always sending updates, pictures, and videos, which gave us great peace of mind. She clearly spent a lot of time playing with him and taking great care of him. Theo came home happy and relaxed. We’ll definitely be back!

Monique took great care of my two pups. She sent lots of pictures, gave them a wash and made sure they were clean. My pups had so much pampering and fun adventures with her and her family. They were returned full of love.

Monique is an absolute gem of a dog sitter! From the moment I left my dogs in her care, I felt completely at ease. She provided timely updates, which gave me great peace of mind, and she even went the extra mile by adding delicious and healthy extras to their meals. My pups were treated like royalty—allowed on the couch, showered with cuddles, and given plenty of exercise and love. Monique truly has a gift with dogs—she’s a dog whisperer in every sense! If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pets like they’re her own, look no further. Highly recommend!

Schedule

Your dogs will get cuddles, play time (he/she enjoys ball, etc.), pets, hugs and kisses throughout the day and evening, along with daily walks and supervised outdoor access to my fully fenced in backyard garden for potty breaks, exercise, play and sniffing at least every two hours. Breakfast is typically between 8am - 9am and dinner is typically 5pm - 7pm, but I can also give food at other times if you prefer, or let your dog graze throughout the day if that's what your dog does at your home. Pick up time is by 7pm. I stay in communication and send lots of photos and videos everyday during daycare and/or overnight stays so you can rest assured your dog is getting the care he/she deserves. I also provide positive reinforcement of commands and sign language your dog already knows. Please let me know if your dog has any special needs which I am happy to accommodate.

Safety, trust & environment

I play soft classical music, relaxing jazz or peaceful world music in the background while your dogs lounge and play around the house. Your dog will have access to all of the rooms in my single story home (no stairs except doggie stairs for small dogs to access bed and furniture) and are allowed to roam freely and lounge on all furniture (including my bed) if that is allowed at your house. If your dog enjoys sleeping in a crate at night or on his/her own bed, you are welcome to bring a bed or crate(s) and I can accommodate up to 2 crates. They may also sleep on the large, comfy living room sofa bed which has 6 inches of latex and memory foam if they like. The furniture and beds have waterproof mattress covers. I will tuck your fur babies in at night with blankets in bed. I have doggie stairs for small dogs and/or elderly dogs with arthritis to access furniture with ease, raised bowls, toys, blankets, pet waste bags and pillows for your dog to cuddle up in. I do ask that you bring your dog(s) to me washed and clean since I allow them on furniture. There is a veterinary hospital 5 minutes from my house and my neighborhood is quiet, safe and nice for walks. I do not let dogs go off leash when they are with me (other than fenced in backyard time at my house, which is supervised). I exercise extra caution to avoid other dogs on walks by crossing the street or or turning a corner. Please let me know your dog’s usual lifestyle and routine so they feel comfy and at home. For your dogs' safety and mine, I require the following: Requirements: 1. New clients must have a Meet & Greet at my home prior to stay. 2. Disclosure of any injuries or medical/behavior issues I should be aware of to provide the best care 3. Current flea & tick prevention and deworming medication 4. Current on vaccinations 5. Veterinarian info, and emergency contacts and vet hospital preference 6. Your dogs' ID tags attached to their collar and leash. 7. Your dogs should be microchipped For safety reasons, we cannot take a dog that has a history aggression or biting people. I cannot board the following breeds: -Pitbulls/American Staffordshire Terriers -Dogo Argentinos -Bull Mastiffs -Great Dane -St. Bernard -Presa Canarios -Japanese Tosa -Wolf Dog -Caucasian Shephard Dog -Fila Brasileiro -Boerboel -Blood Hounds

A typical day

A typical day is wake up and bathroom break first thing in the morning in the backyard. Then lots of hugs, pets and morning snuggles on the sofa bed in the living room, breakfast and then more backyard time and play. I give a walk either early in the day or evening or both. Your dog gets to listen to soft classical, jazz, nature sounds, tv for dogs, or world music while lounging. Your dog can watch squirrels in the backyard garden from the backdoor window if he/she enjoys that. Your dogs lots of pets, cuddles, hugs and kisses and inclusion throughout the day from me and my family. Dinner is typically 5pm to 7pm unless you prefer a different time. Several evening bathroom breaks and backyard times. I love to relax, snuggle up, hug, play with and pet your dog during the day and in the evening while watching tv or reading before bedtime. We always have a backyard bathroom break right before bedtime and first thing in the morning. If your dog has special dietary or medication needs, please let me know so I can accommodate that.

I do ask that your dogs be washed before his/her stay in my home since I like to keep it clean, comfy and the best environment for lots of snuggles in the blankets and on the furniture and bed. I do not board dogs that are not fully potty trained (they must know to go poo/pee outside only), have a history of aggression towards biting people (gentle puppy like play bites are fine), and home destruction. Please be transparent about this because if these problems arise during your dog’s stay, you or someone you designate in advance will have to pick up your dog. Please provide your dog's ID tags, collar, leash, food, treats, veterinary hospital, emergency contacts and care instructions in advance on his/her profile. Thank you and I look forward to getting to know you and your dog!
