“Megan was great with Spice! She provided a ton of updates while I was gone and even taught him some tricks. He is a high energy puppy so I was grateful for all her attention and time with him. Will definitely book with Megan again - Spice loved her!”

“Kirby was great! She never left my pup for too long and stayed with him overnight. My pup can be anxious with new people but she was great at being patient and making him comfortable. I was happy to get regular updates on him as well. I definitely recommend Kirby for your pet sitting needs!”

“Michelle is an amazing stay in dog sitting. If you want peace of mind while you're away know Michelle is the ideal dog sitter. I highly, highly recommend her. From the meet and great Daisy, my dog really liked being around her. Michelle showed up on time to the meet and the day of. Michelle made sure to asked all the right questions, took notes so nothing could be overlooked. When I returned the house looked impeccable (I think better then I left it) and my dog was happy, well taken care of and not stressed at all. I will definitely continue to use Michelle services.”

“There are not enough good things to say about our experience with Alex. I am normally a basket case with just leaving LeeLoo but now we have our 3 month old, Zeppelin, whom we cannot board. Alex was beyond attentive to their needs, schedules, and our instructions. He is very respectful and knows animal behavior. Our home was left in the same (actually better) condition than when we left. He provided updates frequently. But most of all, when we got home… the dogs weren’t even that excited to see us 😂😂😂😂. They were comfortable and cared for extremely well. Will be booking Alex again for sure.”

About: I've taken care of my own dogs since they were puppies up to their now senior age of 10, so I know how to care for dogs across all ages. But not only my own. I've helped care for people with senior dogs, volunteered at pet shelters, and generally tried to make the lives of as many pets as I can happier! I love pets (especially dogs), so the more time I can spend with our four-legged friends, the better! The only thing preventing me from spending time with other people's pets is taking care of my own two dogs :) In your house, I would care for your dog as if it were my own! My dogs can sometimes be a bit rowdy, so I don't often have other dogs stay at my place for long periods of time.

“Dominique is amazing! Very communicative, professional and, best of all, very caring for our pups! We have one dog with bad allergies and requires extra care; she managed with no problem which gave us peace of mind while we were gone. We will definitely book Dominique again!”

“Me and my boyfriend have used Crystal as a sitter many times now, and we always know that our pets are going to be well taken care of. She’s so sweet, and you can tell she really cares about our animals. We always come home to very happy, and healthy pets!”

“Christine is the best! We were gone for 6 days, and she handled all of our dogs quirky and lovable obsessions. Also we had an unusual home and yard issue which she helped us with. House was just like we left it but, “a much happier place when we returned. A lot of dog loving going on. Jinx , our 16 yr old border collie told us she will miss her until the next time.”
“Robert was amazing! He’s an awesome communicator, and sent lots of photos of our pups so we knew they were being well taken care of. He was also willing to bring in mail and take out garbage and just generally took great care of our home while we were away. He’s very conscientious and so easy to communicate with!. we would highly recommend him, and will definitely use him again when we travel!”

“Nichole put at complete ease when we left our pups to go out of town. She was kind, caring, and incredibly responsive. Our dogs were snuggled up within a few days which speaks wonders - they barely cuddle with us! We received updates and photos so we knew the whole time we were gone they were being cared for and loved.”

“Our dog is fearful of meeting new people and Brandi's calm energy was great for him (and my anxiety about trying a new sitter lol!). She dealt with feeding him turkey through his muzzle and all the other details of a first meeting we wanted to cover. 10 stars on communication and reliability. She did wonderfully with Georgie on our 'trial run' before our longer trip and I'm so happy to have found someone we can trust our anxious fur baby with while we're away.”

About: I have been blessed with many wonderful pets in my life, both big and small! I currently own a horse, Felix. Unfortunately, my dog Alfie passed at 17 years old in January. Although I am not quite ready for a new in home pet of my own, I'd love to help you with yours! I have owned both cats and dogs through my life from puppy/kitten stage to senior life. I have experience with watching dogs, cats, and horses. I have no problem administering medication and I'm comfortable with all ages, sizes, and breeds. 95% of my job is working from home, because of that I am quite flexible in my schedule. On occasion, I do travel for work/personal but will do my best to keep my Rover calendar up to date. My home is pet free, which means your pup will get my full attention! I live in a 2 bedroom apartment. I have a nice sized patio that is fully covered. The area has a lot of green space and sidewalks perfect for a long stroll. There is also a dog park available if your dog particularly enjoys being social. I allow dogs on my furniture and bed, however have no issue with sticking to the rules if that is not part of your daily routine.

“It was so great to be able to rely on Dina for the best service possible for my Kaila. Kaila is a high energy pup and I was so grateful for Dina to make sure that she would be all tired out and happy to see me home! I highly recommend Dina - she's wonderful with Kaila!! I would have given this 10 stars if there was an option. thanks, Dina!”

“Janna did a great job with my dog over Thanksgiving. She stayed at my home and made my dog very comfortable while I was away. I would highly recommend Janna and will look for her availability in the future”

“Gabriela was wonderful! She stayed in our home and we came back to two very happy dogs and a clean house. She was highly communicative and sent photos of our pups while we were away. We would be happy to have her back!”

“Diego was wonderful all around! And we will definitely reach out again for support. As an overnight sitter, he left the house great. My toy poodle is getting older, more fussy with going out and eating and Diego had great patience with her. His communication was stellar, from the meet & greet to when we were away. Misty was very relaxed and happy when I arrived. With previous sitters she would be more withdrawn. Overall, I’m so happy Misty had great company!”

“Woody took great care of our scaredy pup Bella. Bella can be challenged when new people come into her life. Woody took steps to help Bella with this and was able to gain her trust. We hope highly recommend Woody for your pet's care.”

Cristal did an amazing job sitting for our boys. Her communication was above and beyond, and we loved seeing all of the photo updates along the way. The boys looked so happy and cared for while we were away. Highly recommend Cristal and hope she sits to us again in the future.

Absolutely stellar care for my home and animals!! This was one of the rare times I had no anxiety being away from my animals, because Megan was doing such an amazing job! I'm a little jealous that Trigve might love her more than me 🤣. Lots of pictures and great communication. Directions all followed. My house was cleaner than I'd left it! She even brought some extra treats for my babies to try and practice training commands with Louise. I seriously can't say enough good things about Megan! Thank you! Love, Louise, Trigve & Tribeca.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mustang Ridge walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mustang Ridge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mustang Ridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
