Growing up, my home was filled with animals of all kinds from small to large dogs including Dachshund, Husky, and medium to large mixed breed dogs, as well as an outdoor cat, fish, hermit crabs, lizards, and birds. I have been a lifelong animal caretaker and feel very comfortable with a wide range of species and temperaments. One of my most meaningful experiences was caring for my cockatiel who lived to be over 14 1/2 years old under my care. In my teens, I also trained in horseback riding and learned foundational horse care. With dogs, I have experience in structured obedience training up to the intermediate level as well as introducing agility based skills and enrichment work. Currently, I provide consistent care for a senior 19 year old dog in my home alongside a younger high energy Dachshund. This has given me ongoing real world experience balancing senior comfort care with active dogs in a calm and stable home environment. My approach is calm, attentive, and highly individualized. I prioritize each pet’s emotional state, routine stability, and safety with an emphasis on low stress handling and clear communication. My goal is to provide care that feels grounded, consistent, and deeply trustworthy so you can feel fully at ease while you are away. I appreciate detailed information about each pet’s routine, preferences, and behavioral tendencies. This includes separation anxiety, reactivity including leash or sound, fear responses, or any sensitivities. These details allow me to provide the highest level of tailored care. Rates listed are general starting estimates and may vary depending on level of care required, number of pets, schedule, and travel distance. Premium or extended care needs including last minute bookings, extended radius travel, or continuous supervision up to about 8 hours can be accommodated and quoted based on your specific situation.
