Big-hearted dog lover ready today
Pet care experience
I've lived with and cared for dogs pretty my entire life. Growing up we typically had 2 or 3 dogs at all times. Oscar, Susie, Casey, Spencer, Max and Stella were my companions growing up. As an adult my partner and I adopted our first dog , Dinger (in the picture), and he lived to almost 17. The last few years of his life he had multiple illnesses and I took care of his medical needs including walking him with a special harness for his lame back legs, giving him his medicines and inhaler (even when he really didn't want them), carrying him to go out to the bathroom and holding up his back legs to support him while he did his business. He was my best friend and I miss taking epic hikes on the greenbelt with him. About a year after we got Dinger, we adopted another beagle mix, Willow, and she is still with us 16 years later. She can't hear or see the fireworks anymore but she somehow knows to bark at them. About 7 years ago we fostered a puppy with a broken leg, this ended up being a "foster fail" since I knew after sleeping next to him on the floor the first night to keep him company I would never be able to give him back! If I could, I'd spend all day hanging out with dogs and so I realized dog walking and pet sitting would be the perfect job for me! I've saved a dog from drowning in the river (and a person!), I've dealt with heat stroke and other emergencies, allergies, leash aggression, temporarily fostering dogs during natural disasters, watching my friends and families dog, and petting every dog I come across, after asking permission of course! I'd love to meet your dog and give them plenty of affection and exercise! Currently I'm working freelance so I should be able to work my schedule around yours! I'm happy to make plans via email, text, or private message. I'm very careful and meticulous in general. When walking dogs I always make sure their leash is secure, we walk on safe routes, and I follow the dog's comfort level when approaching strangers or other dogs. For example, with a leash aggressive dog, I'll always cross to the other side of the street if I see another dog coming to make sure their aren't any problems.
Reviews

Dan was awesome and patient with my nervous pup. Will definitely call on him again!

Dan came in when I was in a pinch and had to have my dog walked and fed within hours of me notifying him. Amazing.

I felt super nervous leaving my dog for the first time. Dan went above and beyond with taking care of my Nimbles. Daily walks and updated pictures! Will definitely be trusting him again in the future.

Dan is incredibly professional, prompt, and reliable. We have worked with Dan multiple times and plan to continue to do so. We greatly appreciate how communicative and thoughtful he is with us and our dog. Thanks again Dan!
