About: Hi there! I am Kira and am excited to meet your pets!! I grew up with dogs and other small animals (hamsters, guinea pigs, rats). I have always had a soft spot for animals and they bring me so much joy. I have years of experience sitting for family, friends, and neighbors, as well as volunteering at rescues and pet stores. I am comfortable with all sizes, ages, and breeds. I relocated to Austin in 2022 and am unable to have a pet where I currently live. I miss having pets and would LOVE to love on yours!! I am a strong believer that pets are family and will care for yours as such!! I currently work remote MWF and in office T & TH. My in-office days are very flexible so I have availability in the mornings and afternoons. It is important for me to have details on your pet's personality and normal daily routine. I know it can be stressful for pets to be left at home, so understanding their personality and habits will help me provide the best care possible. About: I’ve been a dog owner and have been dog sitting for friends and family since undergrad. I’m comfortable doing all the day-to-day (feed, walk, play) and can do the atypical like bathes, medications, clean-up. I’m a PhD student so study buddies are more than welcome. I’m writing a lot for my program so I can work wherever, keep your pup company, and love having the excuse to break up the day with walks. Having dog sit for a range of pups, I am pretty comfortable letting your dog do it’s thing, be a lap dog, street patrol from the window, chase off the squirrels in the backyard. Let me know how your dog typically operates and I’ll try to maintain the rhythm.

“Hana is the best dog sitter I've ever had. My dog Happy is a very needy and anxious little chihuahua, especially when separated from me. Often times, those who watch over Happy have told me that he looked very sad and shivered the whole time while I was away. However, when Hana first babysat Happy, I was surprised by how many questions she asked me. She went beyond asking what he needed in his routine(walks, food, etc.) but also she asked me about what made Happy happy and feel safe! I could tell that Hana, just by the way that she cares for Happy really loves animals and is very intuitive to not only the pets's needs but also the owner's needs. Hana is a superb communicator. She is very solid about communicating her schedule. If there are changes (which there rarely are) she is good at making sure to communicate in advance. She is the only one I feel completely comfortable with watching Happy when I go traveling overnight. I get nervous about leaving Happy for multiple days because of his separation anxiety, but Hana makes sure that both happy and I feel comfortable. She is very good at sending updates and pictures throughout the day of the different activites and adventures she'd take him on. I can tell from the videos and photos how comfortable Happy is with her, so there really is no one else who could be a better dog sitter for my Happy!”
