About: I have been around dogs almost my whole life! I’ve taken care of family and friend’s pets and always make sure they’re all happy and worn out. I make sure they are well fed, exercised, and loved to the fullest! I'm available for constant care for your pet if needed. We can talk about what your pet needs most and how they are when left alone! I always want to ensure you and your fur baby feel comfortable while you're away. My family has two dogs that are opposites of each other. For my youngest, she enjoys going on walks, going to the dog park, and playing a lot. For my oldest, he enjoys slow walks and sniffing everything in sight. He’s a snuggle bug and loves to take naps. I try my best to understand what pets need and how they try to communicate it to us.

About: I have taken care of dogs since 12. I started taking care of my neighbor's puppy and another neighbor's senior dog. Since then, I have bounced between gigs with my neighbors' fur babies! I am currently in the job search for the summer, so my availability is wide open, though it could change. I will update my availability on the website if anything changes. Since I live in an apartment, I will likely not subject the animals to be stuck here with me all day. Instead, I will take them out to dog parks, walk trails like the Lady Bird or the Green Belt. With the owner's permission, I like to take the animals to get treats, like a pup cup. In the client's home, I have no trouble with crating, feeding, walking, and playing outside.

About: I have always had three dogs of my own my entire life, and have dog walked, pet sitted, and taken care of animals for as long as I can remember!! I am a student at UT but I have a very flexible schedule and reliable transportation to be able to come home as often as needed or wanted! I am available weekdays and weekends for boarding! I live in a large house in a residential neighborhood with a front yard and fenced-in back yard perfect for going outside and playing! I frequently walk throughout the neighborhood away from major streets which would be perfect for a dog!

About: Dogs and cats have been beloved members of my family since I was a child. I enjoy being outside and am mindful/respectful of Texas heat. Most days I enjoy a walk and it would be great to have a fur-baby companion. I have a flexible schedule and many times am available on short notice. I make sure dogs are comfort with me before moving forward. Trust must be built with respect and patience. The response of the animal communicates their level of trust.

About: I grew up around dogs and something about them just always brightens my day up and a firm believer that dogs are always a good judge of character. I love seeing their faces light up when I mention going outside or for a walk but also enjoy winding down and getting comfortable for some down time. I’m currently available at all times of the day and evenings. What a better time to spend my days taking care of your loved ones. I have a spacious apartment in a very quiet and dog friendly neighborhood. There is also lots of green spaces within walking distance so your furry pals don’t get bored.

About: Growing up in rural Texas, I have been surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes since I was a child. We always had a family dog (or two, or three) that we cherished. Because of this love for animals, I later volunteered with the Animal Defense League of San Antonio, helping with the enrichment program for shelter animals. When I'm at my apartment in Austin, I enjoy spending time with my 6-year-old Siamese cat, Echo! Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life, and I love helping pets stay happy, healthy, and active. I'm a full-time college student working an unpaid internship, so money and exercise are two very important needs that become difficult to achieve on such a tight schedule. With dog walking, I can help owners take care of their sweet pets, get some great exercise in, and make a bit of cash all at once! As I have familiarized myself with the northern side of Austin, I am well aware of quite serene walking trails that are perfect for walking a curious pup! I'll be sure to take your loved animal to a place where they feel safe and comfortable.

About: I've been taking care of pets since I was a young child. Always having dogs and cats of my own to care for, my friends and family have always relied on me to sit their fur babies when they are away. Recently I pet sat for a litter of puppies and a momma doggie. I had to make specialty food gruel for the puppies and monitor momma to make sure she was healthy. I helped the puppies nurse and always made sure they had fresh bedding (since they poop all over). I also had to care for another male dog in the same house and make sure he was kept away from the room that the momma and puppies were in. It was such an amazing experience and I would love to do it again. I also volunteer at the Austin Animal Shelter (Austin Pets Alive), where I work in the parvovirus unit working with extremely sick puppies. I administer oral medication, clean up their poop, do daily feedings and have experinece in IV treatments. I also volunteer in the cat unit helping sick and injured cat rehabilitate giving oral and IV medication, cleaning wounds and feedings. My belated kitty, Morrisis, was a senior cat, who in his later years, became paralyzed from the waist down. I did daily physical therapy with him, built him specialized litter boxes and a set of wheels to get around with. I also had to clean his wounds and poop off of his rear end, since he no longer had control of his bladder. I administered CBD to help with pain management. There is a special place in my heart for sick and disabled animals and I give them just as much love as every animal deserves, which is all of my love. I my free time, I foster stray cats in my neighborhood, taking them to their first vet appointments, getting shots and managing any sickness they may have. I foster them myself until I can find a suitable forever home for them. My work schedule is usually 5 hours a day. This allows me to do Drop In services and walks before my full time job, as well as multiple times afterwards. Throughout the week or weekend I am more than happy to house sit and give lots of attention and care to your fur babies morning, afternoon, evening and over night. When I am in my clients home, I allow supervised playtime outside and will keep your pup entertained. In the heat of Texas summers I will minimize outside play time and play with your pup more inside so they do not get over heated, unless you request otherwise. I do 2-3 walks a day depending on the dogs breed, age and anynhealth concerns. I'll take them around the neighborhood to stretch their legs or on a local hiking trail/ park if they are a more active dog. I keep a close inventory on any medications the animal may have and stick to the correct time for administering medication/ wound treatment. Meal time is usually on a schedule, unless you free feed, and I will always make sure there is cold fresh water available for your fur babies (cats and dogs alike). For kitties, I will engage them in playtime and try to get out their zoomies so they do not tear up furniture, unless they are sick or injured.

She went above and beyond with long walks in the heat and hand feeding my dog who has bad eating habits while I’m away. About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 4 years and genuinely love spending time with animals. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I understand that every pet has their own routine and needs. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and making sure pets feel comfortable and safe while away from their family. I’ll treat your pet with the same patience, attention, and affection I’d want for my own. I currently have a flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. About: Hi there! I'm Janet and finally back on Rover! I work from home and love being outdoors. I've been the go-to sitter for my friends and family members' pets for years and love all dogs and cats and pets generally. I have a 12-y-o rescue who loves other dogs, and I regularly care for dogs with special needs, high activity levels, and more. Because I work from home, I take lots of breaks to play with dog in the backyard. We go on long walks in the morning and evening and have a consistent, reliable (boring?) schedule in the evenings. I love to pet, play with, and engage your dog on their own terms. If your pup wants space, that's ok too! I live in a house with a fenced backyard, and I also have a calm and dog-friendly (non-reactive) mixed breed rescue who makes other dogs feel welcome. I feed and provide snacks and medications following your instructions and have space to crate a dog indoors (though I do not own a crate).

About: I prioritize quality time and care, love snapping videos and photos for frequent updates, and am punctual and dependable. Able to accommodate last minute bookings if needed. I am currently working remote part time and am flexible with schedules! I’m usually working during weekdays, so I am available on weekends if needed. I have a small fenced back yard and live in a walkable neighborhood. Can give your pet some new and exciting smells around here. They will love it.

About: I have a wealth of experience in pet care, primarily dogs, from my own pets to volunteer and foster experience with Austin Pets Alive. For younger pups, training and repetition is absolutely key to making those teenagers thrive! I have always trained my own dogs and have worked with APA's certified trainers to build my knowledge and understanding of dog behavior to work with shelter and rescue dogs find the comfort in routine. I also have experience in senior dog and high medical needs dogs from both personal and volunteer experience. Meds, IVs, blood glucose checks, you name it and I have probably done it with a pet. My goal for your higher need dog is always ensuring they feel safe and comfortable, especially if that means taking 30+ minutes because they showed that they needed more time. I have handled dogs of all sizes and all kinds of behaviors so nothing is too big or small, too shy or excitable for me. I'm currently a college student who's simply looking to work on my own schedule that a typical job can't provide currently! Being able to walk or hang out with your pet while listening to my required readings or otherwise studying sounds like a perfect fit for me! As a pet parent, I fully understand how nerve wracking it can be to trust someone else with your pet. That's why transparency is my biggest priority, through text and photo check ins so you don't have my word for it but visual evidence of what we're doing. For daycare at my home, I have my own 7 month old puppy and plenty of nearby parks to walk around in that I would love to take both our pups on! For care at your home, whether you're in an apartment or have your own backyard, walks and sniffaris are an essential part of me caring for them! Its not just about the exercise but the mental enrichment as well!

About: I spent 10 amazing years with my dog Olive, including providing dedicated care for her as a senior with special needs. Working remotely means I can give your pet plenty of time and attention, whether they are energetic and playful or calm and cuddly. I love ‘em all! I work remotely and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to easily adapt my day around your pet’s needs. Whether they require frequent walks, playtime, or medication, that's no problem! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow any specific instructions you provide and keep a close eye on their well-being at all times.

About: I have grown up with many dogs my entire life. I am used to training, caring for, and feeding family dogs. I adopted my first dog 3 years ago, and it was the best decision I ever made! Her name is Luna, and she would love to accompany me on any dog walks (please let me know if this is an issue). I have also fostered one dog successfully since this time. I have limited availability in the mornings because I am in class. I find walking dogs relaxing and would love to take care of your pupper. What sets me apart from other walkers is that I will take the time to give your dog the extra love and affection they deserve. I already take care of my dog and cat each day but I would love to be able to take care of your pet too. I have classes on T,W,Th, and F in the mornings but I am free in the afternoons. I would care for the pet in my apartment by walking them frequently and making sure they are getting enough play time. This is a promise.

About: Hi, I’m Sydney! I grew up with animals, starting with our beloved cat Kitzel and then two crazy miniature schnauzers named Gabby and Schultz. My family also fostered dogs regularly when I was a kid, and in high school I volunteered at a humane society walking dogs and working with the kittens every day. More recently I’ve been volunteering at Austin Pets Alive! (APA), where I’m trained to walk dogs and volunteer with the cats as a kitty cupid, matching them with adopters. My own dog, Raven, is a rescue. I trained her myself on loose leash walking, advanced obedience, and beginner’s agility. she even qualified for her Canine Good Citizen in our training class. I’ve also watched my parents’ dog, Heidi, for 6+ months and done week-long stays for friends with 7+ different dogs, ranging from a Cavapoo puppy to a senior Bernese Mountain Dog, so I’m used to adjusting to different personalities and routines. I do dog walking as well as house sitting and drop-ins for both dogs and cats. I’ll stick to your pet’s routine, keep up with any training you’re working on, and send you photos so you know how they’re doing :) I’m home most days with a flexible schedule, so I can do midday walks, multiple drop-ins a day, and last-minute requests. I am available weekends and holidays as well. I am not rushing between other jobs, so your pet gets my full attention! All of my care happens in your home, so your pets get to stay in their own space with their normal routine. I don’t bring my own dog along, so it’s just me and your pets. Before the first booking, I’ll go over everything with you at a meet and greet: feeding, meds, walk routines, quirks, favorite toys, and anything they’re nervous about. Then I stick to it as closely as possible. For walks, I always double-check harnesses and collars before heading out and keep dogs leashed the whole time. For drop-ins, I take care of food, fresh water, litter or potty breaks, meds if needed, and spend the rest of the visit playing, cuddling, or just hanging out, depending on what your pet likes. For house sitting, I’ll keep your pet company overnight and provide daytime care every 4-6 hours for potty breaks, meals, playtime and cuddles. I will also help bring in mail, water plants, take out trash, and keep the house tidy. I always make sure doors and gates are closed and locked before I leave, and I’ll send photos and updates every visit so you never have to wonder how they’re doing :)

About: Currently do not have any pets of my own, but grew up with cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, and am super comfortable around skittish dogs and cats. I know how to maintain a calm presence and neutral body language. I’m able to dog sit at my apartment or come to you! I have been working with animals and dog sitting for over 10 years. About: I have been around all different kinds of animals since I was very young. I have had multiple dogs throughout my life including one with parvo and distemper where I had to take care of my dogs health.
