My days include the gym and occasionally working as a tutor. If there are ever any complications with timing that will be communicated with you! About: I’ve spent my whole life around all kinds of animals and can’t imagine my life without them! I’ve also spent a lot of time volunteering in kennels and shelters so I have lots of experience with both dogs and cats. I work early mornings and am usually off by 1 pm at the latest so I have lots of time to walk take your dogs for long walks I live in an apartment so my dog gets to go for lots of walks through the day and at least once a week a trip to the dog park.

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats my whole life! Not only have I had pets of my own, but I've helped out family with theirs! I love an opportunity to spend time with animals (especially since I don't currently have any of my own!). I'm new to Austin and looking for some extra work- would love to talk to you more about all I can offer you and your pet! :) I’m a graduate student with a semi-flexible schedule! About: I spent more than a decade loving a very large, very opinionated German Shepherd named Ruta through epilepsy, severe allergies, endless medication schedules, and his senior years, so “high-maintenance” pets don’t scare me. I tend to love them even harder. These days I’m supervised by Edwin, my mini Aussie rescue, who has strong opinions about other dogs, delivery trucks, and apparently several completely innocent squirrels. Living with him has made me very comfortable with boundaries, reactivity, slow introductions, and the fact that not every dog wants to be everybody’s friend. I’m also the person who genuinely wants the six-paragraph document explaining exactly how your dog likes breakfast. Give me the quirks, the routines, the medications, the weird little rules, the favorite toy, the thing they absolutely will not do unless you ask them in a very specific way. I want to know all of it. Basically: I take your pet seriously without taking myself too seriously. And yes, I will probably send you too many pictures. My schedule is pretty flexible, which means I can usually work around your pet’s normal routine. Walks, meals, potty breaks, meds, couch hangs; tell me what they’re used to and I’ll do my best to keep things consistent. Tell me everything. What’s their routine? What makes them nervous? Are they an escape artist? A sock eater? Do they lose their mind when a skateboard goes by? How are they on leash? I’m big on respecting a pet’s boundaries and keeping their routine as familiar as possible. I’d much rather know about a quirk or trigger ahead of time than be surprised by it later.

About: I’ve always loved animals and currently care for one cat and a Rottweiler/Shepherd mix. With my dog, I’ve worked with professional trainers to reinforce positive behavior, structure, and consistent routines. This experience has helped me become comfortable handling dogs of different sizes, energy levels, and personalities. I work a 9–5 job from home, which gives me flexibility throughout the day to care for pets. I’m also an early riser, so I’m available for morning visits, midday check-ins, and evening care. With my schedule, I’m able to provide consistent attention and make sure pets stay on their normal routine. If possible, I ask for 1–2 days’ notice so I can block my calendar and give your pet the time and care they deserve. I’m always happy to help ensure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. When caring for pets in their home, my priority is always their safety, comfort, and routine. I make sure dogs are always securely leashed during walks and do not allow off-leash play unless the owner has specifically approved it or we are in a fully enclosed, safe area. During walks, I’m very mindful of safety and surroundings. I keep the dog positioned on the inside of the sidewalk while I walk on the outside, creating a protective barrier between them and the street or passing distractions. I also make sure to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible—whether that’s feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, or simply giving them companionship. About: I have a wealth of experience in pet care, primarily dogs, from my own pets to volunteer and foster experience with Austin Pets Alive. For younger pups, training and repetition is absolutely key to making those teenagers thrive! I have always trained my own dogs and have worked with APA's certified trainers to build my knowledge and understanding of dog behavior to work with shelter and rescue dogs find the comfort in routine. I also have experience in senior dog and high medical needs dogs from both personal and volunteer experience. Meds, IVs, blood glucose checks, you name it and I have probably done it with a pet. My goal for your higher need dog is always ensuring they feel safe and comfortable, especially if that means taking 30+ minutes because they showed that they needed more time. I have handled dogs of all sizes and all kinds of behaviors so nothing is too big or small, too shy or excitable for me. I'm currently a college student who's simply looking to work on my own schedule that a typical job can't provide currently! Being able to walk or hang out with your pet while listening to my required readings or otherwise studying sounds like a perfect fit for me! As a pet parent, I fully understand how nerve wracking it can be to trust someone else with your pet. That's why transparency is my biggest priority, through text and photo check ins so you don't have my word for it but visual evidence of what we're doing. For daycare at my home, I have my own 7 month old puppy and plenty of nearby parks to walk around in that I would love to take both our pups on! For care at your home, whether you're in an apartment or have your own backyard, walks and sniffaris are an essential part of me caring for them! Its not just about the exercise but the mental enrichment as well!

About: I've never met a dog or cat I can't win over. I meet them at their pace, never pushing unwanted interaction onto them. I have volunteered and fostered for multiple shelters. I have experience administering medicine, grooming, and bathing. Currently working part-time, so I'm relatively free to look after pets. I am also a morning person, and I don't mind getting up early to check in on and walk someone's baby, especially with how hot it is right now.
