“Bethany has always enjoyed/loved pets. Her childhood pup was adopted from the animal shelter. She also grew up caring for fish and parakeets. About a year ago she adopted her current pet a black cat named Paul, who she spoils rotten. Four years ago my Doberman had a litter of pups. The mom passed when the pups were only about 2 weeks old. Bethany helped me bottle feed the litter around the clock day and night getting up every 2-3 hours. She has modeled love and compassion for pets, and proven she's responsible for their well being.”

About: Hi there! I am Kira and am excited to meet your pets!! I grew up with dogs and other small animals (hamsters, guinea pigs, rats). I have always had a soft spot for animals and they bring me so much joy. I have years of experience sitting for family, friends, and neighbors, as well as volunteering at rescues and pet stores. I am comfortable with all sizes, ages, and breeds. I relocated to Austin in 2022 and am unable to have a pet where I currently live. I miss having pets and would LOVE to love on yours!! I am a strong believer that pets are family and will care for yours as such!! I currently work remote MWF and in office T & TH. My in-office days are very flexible so I have availability in the mornings and afternoons. It is important for me to have details on your pet's personality and normal daily routine. I know it can be stressful for pets to be left at home, so understanding their personality and habits will help me provide the best care possible. Please let me know ahead of time of any medical conditions, restrictions, or special needs.

He grew up with dogs, a white rat, lots of fish a few turtles along the way and he was/is the most loving and caring pet owner. We currently have two dogs. “Hana is the best dog sitter I've ever had. My dog Happy is a very needy and anxious little chihuahua, especially when separated from me. Often times, those who watch over Happy have told me that he looked very sad and shivered the whole time while I was away. However, when Hana first babysat Happy, I was surprised by how many questions she asked me. She went beyond asking what he needed in his routine(walks, food, etc.) but also she asked me about what made Happy happy and feel safe! I could tell that Hana, just by the way that she cares for Happy really loves animals and is very intuitive to not only the pets's needs but also the owner's needs. Hana is a superb communicator. She is very solid about communicating her schedule. If there are changes (which there rarely are) she is good at making sure to communicate in advance. She is the only one I feel completely comfortable with watching Happy when I go traveling overnight. I get nervous about leaving Happy for multiple days because of his separation anxiety, but Hana makes sure that both happy and I feel comfortable. She is very good at sending updates and pictures throughout the day of the different activites and adventures she'd take him on. I can tell from the videos and photos how comfortable Happy is with her, so there really is no one else who could be a better dog sitter for my Happy!”

About: Grew up surrounded by pets and fostered dogs alongside my family! I’m very patient and understanding of your pet’s needs, while also making sure we all have a fun time I currently have a full-time WFH job, and because of this, have plenty of time throughout my afternoons to take your sweet pet on a walk. Although I’m mostly available in my afternoons, if your pet is a morning walk lover, I can work to accommodate you and your pet! My current lease does not allow pets inside my home, making me all the more willing to drop by your home as needed. When in your own space, I have nothing but respect for your and your pet’s home. While your pet cannot step inside my home, there are safe, lovely walking trails nearby, as well as a private pet-friendly park 0.1 miles away!

About: I have taken care of all kinds of animals my whole life. I grew up in the country with lots of dogs and cats, I worked as a vet tech for 2 years, volunteered at the animal shelter for 6 years, and I’ve rescued just about everything from dogs/cats to pigs and toads. Now I work from home in my mid-sized condo with a fenced in backyard. Additionally, I live in an area with few children and I’m half a mile from a big park. I’m also happy to visit it pet-sit in your home! I love all animals, especially dogs that like to learn tricks and cuddle on the couch. I have two amazing pups that are loving and gentle with other dogs. They aren’t super hyper, so if I need to keep an excited or nervous pup mine can take a trip to grandmas. I am also happy to stop in for walks, or stay with your dog/cat where they are most comfortable (at your home). And I can pass a government background check! I work from home and my job is really flexible, so let me know what you need. I have a solid routine with my dogs that I can do with yours, too: 3-4 potty breaks during the day, two medium walks/throw the ball at the park/ a 3 mile loop during lunch, breakfast and dinner with some learning time and treats, and then we lay low around 7. Final potty break before bed and then everyone piles in their bed of choice. At my home, I have a fenced in backyard and a park and a special off-leash dog park nearby. The neighborhood doesn’t have a lot of triggers for dogs, like children. There are some other dogs around though most everyone is on leash and well behaved. Building trust with animals is so important and keeping their nervous system regular is the goal! It’s already stressful to see their parents go, so I want to ease that discomfort. Setting up good routines, clear expectations, and a comfortable bond that accepts your fur-baby’s autonomy is my top priority. Same thing for mid-day walks and pups at home. A good routine and even some mentally stimulating activities are my forté. For house care, I follow the golden rule. I treat everything and everyone how I would want to be treated. I’ll make sure you have a relaxing and clean home to come back to, that looks like you never left!
