About: I’ve taken care of my neighbor’s senior dogs for the past 5 years and have raised a puppy and a kitten of my own. I love all animals and have taken care of reptiles, 7 cats at once, birds, fish, bugs, and plants! I’m here to ensure that your space is just as you left it and your pet is happy. Also, I love to take silly pictures of your pet and will happily send them to you. I’m a full time college student that also works part time. I’m a multi-tasker by nature, so it’s likely I will be listening to lectures while I play fetch with your pet’s favorite toy. You will never be worried that your dog is lonely because I will stay and hang. My schedule is different every day, but consistent weekly. I’ve had my lizard Hazel since 8th grade (a long time). To keep a lizard that long takes a certain amount of consistency and respect for animals that I’ve seen others struggle with. I will be diligent in ensuring that your pet is healthy and happy in your home.

About: In high school I briefly volunteered at Keller HSNT and then pivoted to volunteering at a no-kill, nonprofit animal shelter called Operation Kindness where I was trained to properly look after both dogs and cats! I volunteered there for several years and I was able to walk the dogs there too, learning how to provide them a calm walk and to deescalate their stress in response to their environment. Additionally, I have my own two sweet dogs back home and I always take them on long walks and adore caring for them. Since they’re my family’s dogs, I don’t consider caring for them as professional pet care experience, but I do want to mention that my love for Buster and Mojo has taught me a lot of the basics! Although I’ve taken both of them on walks together before, I would prefer to walk one dog at a time when it comes to other people’s dogs, given that I am less familiar with their temperaments and I want to ensure that everything goes smoothly! Other than that, I absolutely loveeee animals and I enjoy spending time with them! I’ve looked after several of my friends’ dogs before and have been paid to walk some of my neighborhood dogs in high school, as well as dog and cat-sit for them! As a sophomore at UT, classes and student org events are what primarily make up my schedule. I’m usually pretty free on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, because I have classes until 10am those days. On Tuesdays and Thursdays however, my time is more limited because I’m generally unavailable until late afternoon on those days. Caring for a pet at a client’s home includes being incredibly knowledgeable of my client’s boundaries regarding their home, as well as communicating important parts of their pet’s routine. Safety is incredibly essential, and I know that my time and attention towards their pet is crucial: I have never allowed myself to pay more attention to my phone or other things when what I should be paying the greatest level of attention to is the client’s pet.

I adore all animals of all kinds and sizes. I have the most experience with dogs and cats of all ages, including taking care of some with anxiety and needing training! About: Dogs and cats have been beloved members of my family since I was a child. I enjoy being outside and am mindful/respectful of Texas heat. Most days I enjoy a walk and it would be great to have a fur-baby companion. I have a flexible schedule and many times am available on short notice. I make sure dogs are comfort with me before moving forward. Trust must be built with respect and patience. The response of the animal communicates their level of trust.

About: Do you have a dachshund that you’re nervous to leave in someone else’s care because of how unique they are? I completely understand. I was the same way with mine. Dachshunds have their own little quirks, and their backs require some extra care. I know how important it is to have someone who understands how to properly pick them up and why you don’t want them constantly jumping off beds or couches. My home has stairs leading up to both, so they can get where they want to go without putting unnecessary stress on their backs. My husband and I also work from home full-time with flexible jobs, so your Velcro pup won’t be left alone. I’m able to give them lots of attention, hang out with them throughout the day, and take them outside as many times as they need. 5–6 times a day? No worries! I’ve watched multiple dachshunds for friends I’ve met through our local dachshund meetup, and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know each of them and their little personalities. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dachshund with someone else, and I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re in good hands. I decided to offer my services on Rover because I know what it’s like to be new to town and not have someone you trust to watch your dog. If you’re looking for someone who already understands dachshunds and all their little quirks, I’d love to meet you and your pup! My husband and I work from home every day, so we are at the beck and call of your pup! Whatever they need, I can provide: all day cuddles, potty outside breaks, mid-day walks… you name it. I have a knack for reading animal behavior- dogs have very clear warning signs when they’re on edge, shy, excited, etc. I will make sure your pet stays safe and comfortable and avoid any situations that may cause any doubt

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats my whole life, with a lot of experience with senior dogs, small dogs, and cats in particular. I recently lost my soul dog, Chubby, who I'd had since I was 14. There's a huge hole in my heart, and I'd love to pour that love into any animal who needs it. My fiancé and I both fully work from home, so I have plenty of time and flexibility to take care of your sweet fur babies! Our house has no other pets and a small, private, fenced backyard with turf. About: I grew up caring for my miniature dachshund and spent years pet sitting for families in my neighborhood. Now that I work fully remote from home, I regularly care for my friends' dogs while they are out of town. I love providing pets with plenty of attention, companionship, and a comfortable environment so they feel right at home. I work fully remotely and from my apartment so I am able to give attention to your wonderful pets all day and accomodate to whatever schedule you prefer for them. I take breaks often and can play with them indoors or take them out to the nearby park for a walk or for playtime. I have a fenced in patio, so even when they are in my apartment, they can sit outside if they prefer. I also allow pets on my furniture.

About: I'm an experienced pet owner and sitter. I love both cats and dogs to death and would do anything to spend a little time with them! I've raised three cats from kittens and am comfortable with the disgusting ins and outs of pet caretaking, including vomit, hairballs, and unsightly poop textures! I really don't mind getting my hands dirty. I even volunteer at cat shelters, and was recently named volunteer of the month at the Stray Cat Alliance. In terms of pet care, I'm a graduate student so I have plenty of flexibility in my schedule to make sure your pet gets the care they need. With indoor cats, I really try to prioritize stimulation through playtime (if they're comfortable). I'm comfortable delivering medicine to cats orally and am pretty experienced in reading cat body language (if they want more or less attention, if they're not feeling well, etc). I'm also taking on these pet jobs primarily because I really like spending time with cats and dogs, so I really look forward to just hanging with them, if that's what they want. Drop in visits: For a drop in visit, what I'll typically do is change out litter (once a day), feed the kitty, and hang out / snuggle / play for the remainder of the time (30 minutes to an hour). You'll get picture updates each time I drop in. Drop-in visits will be timed so that the cat is alone for the least amount of time possible between visits! I'm very easy to reach throughout the day so will be available for questions / concerns about your pet while you're away. I'm a graduate student so I have plenty of time to care for your pets, whether that means housesitting or dropping by to check in on them while you're at work or on a trip. Throughout the rest of this year, I'm available anytime during the week except for some short periods during the day on Mondays and Wednesdays. I like to think I'm a trustworthy and dependable person to have in your home for catcare! I'm a pretty thorough person as well, so anything you tell me about specifics of caring for your cat within your home, I'll take care to abide by.

About: I have 3 dogs at home! Two are huskies that require a lot of energy while the sheltie doesn’t require as much walking but more attention! I want to get back into my routine of having animals since leaving for college I’ve been very bored! From owning and taking care of animals from dogs all the way to horses, I love animals so much and enjoy taking care of them! From a very young age, I’ve been taking care of friends and neighbors pets as long as I can remember. As a freshman in college, I have a lot of free time on my plate! I love to fill it with exercise but also want a job as well. I prioritize pets due to the fact that I can give a 100 percent since I have a lot of free time. I prioritize activity and one on one care with my animals and clients homes! I was a multi sport athlete in high school and I like to continue getting a lot of physical exercise so taking my dogs on long walks and making them feel loved is my top priority!

About: I am a recent grad staying in the Austin area! I have a rottie (150 pounds) back home and have cared for pets with diverse needs numerous times over the last four years. I live in an apartment, but in a walkable neighborhood with plenty of sniff spots. I am willing to take up to two pets for boarding, however, the pets must be from the same residence to ensure they can get along while being away from home! I work from 8 to 5 in an office about 20 minutes from home, so during the week I have time for scheduled feedings, walks, and play before and after my work day. I keep a very clean apartment. While it is on the smaller side, your pet friend has plenty of room to splay around. I will take plenty of pictures so you can keep up with your friend's time away! I can care for dogs of any size, but would prefer to only watch one larger dog or two smaller dogs (from the same household) at a time. I can only take dogs that are potty trained and able to be left alone for a few hours at a time (crated or not crated). You can provide a crate if your friend prefers their own space when they need it!
