About: I love dogs and have been taking care of them since I was a teen! I consider pets family and when your babies are with me, they're also part of mine. Included in my rates are daily enrichment, cuddles, walks, and lots of playtime. Daily enrichment examples: feeding in puzzle toy, peanut butter or plain yogurt lickimats, snufflemats Walks: we regularly do a two 20-30 minute walks a day. If your dog isn’t super mobile, sniffaris (slow walks where they can sniff as much as they want) will tire your dog out as much as a walk. I currently have one small dog and a dog-friendly cat and regularly volunteer to walk dogs with the AHS. I’ve worked with small dogs of all ages old and have experience training puppies as well as working with senior dogs. I’m familiar with dog body language and play styles. Small and nervous dogs are my favorite and I love seeing them learn to relax in my care! I've had cats since before I can remember, and have always loved them! I've fostered cats for years with the Austin Humane Society looking after both kittens and adults, and I've had the pleasure of taking care of countless cats in their homes. I'm also open to boarding cats, if you need them to stay outside of their home for a night or a day! I'm currently working full time from home, so I'll take your pup out for a morning walk and an evening walk with lots of potty breaks in my fenced-in yard in between. I feel my own lets twice a day and will for yours as well, unless you have a different feeding schedule you'd prefer me to follow! I have a fenced in yard. I never leave dogs out in my yard unsupervised and we use the yard to play fetch. I can also crate your dog, if needed. I take animal safety seriously and keep all chemicals and other hazardous items where they can't reach them.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I had a black miniature schnauzer and my grandma had a very small Yorkshire Terrier. I always took them for walks, fed them, bathed them and also cared for my neighbors and friend’s dogs. This summer I’m staying in Austin with occasional visits to Houston (my hometown). My address changes between both cities and sometimes I forget to change it but just shoot me a message to check where I’m at! Over previous years I went back to Houston and I watched 10 dogs throughout that time and it was such a great experience seeing how different breeds act. Since I’m going to The University of Texas at Austin, I’ll be at home most of the time, studying, or going to class and some events, so I have time to take care of your dogs or cats. I’ll be available to take for walks, exercise, play and feed daily. Right now I’m babysitting and teaching occasionally but during the Summer I will have a job, still looking for something! I make sure to give your pets attention and love so that they feel good. I can drive to your home or you can drop them off/stay in my home. We can also meet some place in the middle for a meet and greet if you want.

About: I've absolutely loved dogs since before I can remember! I've had 3 sweet pups throughout my life, spent plenty of time volunteering at animal shelters and currently have a very lovable and sweet golden-retriever as a roommate. I've been dog sitting for families, friends and neighbors since I was 10, and as a recent college graduate missing my family dogs at home, I've been loving the opportunity to stay and hang out with other people's furry friends. I currently work from home, so I'm available to spend lots of quality time with them every day of the week! As an avid runner/walker myself, I'd be more than happy to bring an extra friend along on walks or simply let them out to play if they need to expel some energy or enjoy the sunshine. I'm new to Rover but would love to help you out with your furry friend whenever and however you need it :) I currently work from home every day except Thursdays, so I have all the time in the world to spend with your pup! I'm available for dog walking, drop-in visits or in-house sitting every day of the week (as long as they're able to go a couple of hours by themselves on Thurs). I typically start work at 8am so extra points if they're a morning dog. Every dog is different so I adjust to what they need most! Fast walks, slow walks, lots of stimulation, none at all, calm environment, quiet environment... I can do it all.

About: I have a wealth of experience in pet care, primarily dogs, from my own pets to volunteer and foster experience with Austin Pets Alive. For younger pups, training and repetition is absolutely key to making those teenagers thrive! I have always trained my own dogs and have worked with APA's certified trainers to build my knowledge and understanding of dog behavior to work with shelter and rescue dogs find the comfort in routine. I also have experience in senior dog and high medical needs dogs from both personal and volunteer experience. Meds, IVs, blood glucose checks, you name it and I have probably done it with a pet. My goal for your higher need dog is always ensuring they feel safe and comfortable, especially if that means taking 30+ minutes because they showed that they needed more time. I have handled dogs of all sizes and all kinds of behaviors so nothing is too big or small, too shy or excitable for me. I'm currently a college student who's simply looking to work on my own schedule that a typical job can't provide currently! Being able to walk or hang out with your pet while listening to my required readings or otherwise studying sounds like a perfect fit for me! As a pet parent, I fully understand how nerve wracking it can be to trust someone else with your pet. That's why transparency is my biggest priority, through text and photo check ins so you don't have my word for it but visual evidence of what we're doing. For daycare at my home, I have my own 7 month old puppy and plenty of nearby parks to walk around in that I would love to take both our pups on! For care at your home, whether you're in an apartment or have your own backyard, walks and sniffaris are an essential part of me caring for them! Its not just about the exercise but the mental enrichment as well!

About: I’ve taken care of my neighbor’s senior dogs for the past 5 years and have raised a puppy and a kitten of my own. I love all animals and have taken care of reptiles, 7 cats at once, birds, fish, bugs, and plants! I’m here to ensure that your space is just as you left it and your pet is happy. Also, I love to take silly pictures of your pet and will happily send them to you. I’m a full time college student that also works part time. I’m a multi-tasker by nature, so it’s likely I will be listening to lectures while I play fetch with your pet’s favorite toy. You will never be worried that your dog is lonely because I will stay and hang. My schedule is different every day, but consistent weekly. I’ve had my lizard Hazel since 8th grade (a long time). To keep a lizard that long takes a certain amount of consistency and respect for animals that I’ve seen others struggle with. I will be diligent in ensuring that your pet is healthy and happy in your home.

About: I’m currently home full time during a career transition and regularly walk 5+ miles a day - most of the time on the Lady Bird Lake trail (a personal favorite in my new town!) I love dogs, so why not do those miles with a friend?! I won’t view walking your beloved pet as an obligation that I want to get over as soon as possible but as a fun addition to my day, and that will show in how your dog feels about it as well! I had a beautiful Weimaraner named Heidi that recently passed away, but I am certain regularly walking her as a puppy prepared for me almost any breed! I also fostered a Treeing Walker Coonhound for 6mos after it was found running on the side of the road in Virginia hunting country - Francis was skittish and emaciated when I received him, but after a few months of apartment living including walks 3+ times a day, regular eating, and training I found him a new home in no time. About: I spent 10 amazing years with my dog Olive, including providing dedicated care for her as a senior with special needs. Working remotely means I can give your pet plenty of time and attention, whether they are energetic and playful or calm and cuddly. I love ‘em all! I work remotely and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to easily adapt my day around your pet’s needs. Whether they require frequent walks, playtime, or medication, that's no problem! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow any specific instructions you provide and keep a close eye on their well-being at all times.

About: I'm a graduate student who primarily works from home, so I have lots of flexibility to care for pets throughout the day and week. I have no problem dropping in midday during the week if that’s what you need! I'm very sensitive to the individual attitude and preference of the cats and dogs that I care for - I've cared for friendly and outgoing animals, who wants lots of pets and playtime, but I've also cared for quieter, more introverted cats, who don't want intrusions into their safe spaces (especially when their humans aren't present). I respect the boundaries that pets set, and adapt accordingly! In addition, I’m detail oriented and will carefully follow the instructions you provide.

About: As a lifelong dog lover and dog mom, I know how important it is to feel confident your pup is safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I work from home part-time, which means your pup gets plenty of company, attention, and snuggles throughout the day. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family and take the time to learn their individual routines, personalities, and needs. I’m currently working from home part-time so have plenty of time to help and play with your pups! I also have weekend availability if needed. Just like with your pups, I will take care of your home like my own as well when I am there. I always lock up and will follow any instructions given.
