Genuine Animal Lover
I've been taking care of pets since I was a young child. Always having dogs and cats of my own to care for, my friends and family have always relied on me to sit their fur babies when they are away. Recently I pet sat for a litter of puppies and a momma doggie. I had to make specialty food gruel for the puppies and monitor momma to make sure she was healthy. I helped the puppies nurse and always made sure they had fresh bedding (since they poop all over). I also had to care for another male dog in the same house and make sure he was kept away from the room that the momma and puppies were in. It was such an amazing experience and I would love to do it again. I also volunteer at the Austin Animal Shelter (Austin Pets Alive), where I work in the parvovirus unit working with extremely sick puppies. I administer oral medication, clean up their poop, do daily feedings and have experinece in IV treatments. I also volunteer in the cat unit helping sick and injured cat rehabilitate giving oral and IV medication, cleaning wounds and feedings. My belated kitty, Morrisis, was a senior cat, who in his later years, became paralyzed from the waist down. I did daily physical therapy with him, built him specialized litter boxes and a set of wheels to get around with. I also had to clean his wounds and poop off of his rear end, since he no longer had control of his bladder. I administered CBD to help with pain management. There is a special place in my heart for sick animals and I give them just as much love as every animal deserves, which is all of my love. I my free time, I foster stray cats in my neighborhood, taking them to their first vet appointments, getting shots and managing any sickness they may have. I foster them myself until I can find a suitable forever home for them.

Safety, trust & environment
When I am in my clients home, I allow supervised playtime outside and will keep your pup entertained. In the heat of Texas summers I will minimize outside play time and play with your pup more inside so they do not get over heated, unless you request otherwise. I do multi-daily walks around the neighborhood to stretch your pups legs. I keep a close inventory on any medications the animal may have and stick to the correct time for administering medication/ wound treatment. Meal time is usually on a schedule, unless you free feed, and I will always make sure there is cold fresh water available for your fur babies (cats and dogs alike). For kitties, I will engage them in playtime and try to get out their zoomies so they do not tear up furniture, unless they are sick or injured.

I’ve known Lindsey for a few years now, and one thing that made us click is her clear love for animals. Besides having two cats of her own, Lindsey has frequently gone out of her way to care for neighborhood cats in need, including my own cat Izzy, who she fostered before adopting her to me. Lindsey spent time gaining her trust, giving her food and shelter, and eventually took her to be spayed and medically cared for as she had some skin and eye problems. She nursed her back to health and introduced me to her after acclimating her with her own cats, knowing she needed somewhere less crowded to have her own forever home. Along with time around Lindsey and her own pets, I can think of no better person to help others care for their own pets with attention and love.
Lindsey provided exceptional care for my pets in multiple environments, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. During a stay at her own home, she took excellent care of my senior dog. She meticulously managed his complex routine, ensuring he received his thyroid medication twice a day at specific times around his eating schedule, alongside all of his vitamins and supplements. She also provided him with frequent walks and plenty of attention. Additionally, she has stayed at my home to housesit and care for a very full house: my senior dog, our young momma dog, and her four 4-week-old puppies. This required managing the same strict medication and vitamin schedule for the senior dog, taking the older dogs outside regularly for potty time, and constantly tending to the puppies. She did a wonderful job checking in on the puppies, cleaning up their pads, and keeping the poop-covered puppies clean. Lindsey is responsible, attentive, and deeply caring. She is uniquely qualified to handle everything from senior pet care to the high demands of young puppies.
Lindsey is a true animal lover. Lindsey is very nurturing and will show your pets the same loving care and attention she provides for her own cats. She has fostered kittens and rescued cats, giving them a loving home. Her animals are affectionate and very happy which is a testament to how she raises them. She gives attention to detail and notices when something is off even if it seems minor, which is a great skill to have in animal care.

Schedule
My work schedule is typically 10am-3-30pm. This allows me to drop in for visits and walks before my full time job, as well as multiple times afterwards. On my days off I am more than happy to house sit, or take care of your fur babies in your house for a couple days. I will post my schedule 2 weeks in advance.
