About: Do you have a dachshund that you’re nervous to leave in someone else’s care because of how unique they are? I completely understand. I was the same way with mine. Dachshunds have their own little quirks, and their backs require some extra care. I know how important it is to have someone who understands how to properly pick them up and why you don’t want them constantly jumping off beds or couches. My home has stairs leading up to both, so they can get where they want to go without putting unnecessary stress on their backs. My husband and I also work from home full-time with flexible jobs, so your Velcro pup won’t be left alone. I’m able to give them lots of attention, hang out with them throughout the day, and take them outside as many times as they need. 5–6 times a day? No worries! I’ve watched multiple dachshunds for friends I’ve met through our local dachshund meetup, and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know each of them and their little personalities. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dachshund with someone else, and I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re in good hands. I decided to offer my services on Rover because I know what it’s like to be new to town and not have someone you trust to watch your dog. If you’re looking for someone who already understands dachshunds and all their little quirks, I’d love to meet you and your pup! My husband and I work from home every day, so we are at the beck and call of your pup! Whatever they need, I can provide: all day cuddles, potty outside breaks, mid-day walks… you name it. I have a knack for reading animal behavior- dogs have very clear warning signs when they’re on edge, shy, excited, etc. I will make sure your pet stays safe and comfortable and avoid any situations that may cause any doubt

About: I’ve worked at an Animal Hospital for 3 years and have more knowledge on pet care and health than most! My friends have relied on me to take care of their dogs and cats when they’re out of town or unable to come home during their work day. Whether that’s just hanging out in their space, taking them on walks, administering meds, or having play time, the pets in my care are sure to feel safe and loved in my company. I’m currently on my self discovery journey and not working at a full or part time job. So, I’m pretty available, outside of taking care of my own kitties. When coming into you and your pets space, I make sure to discuss with you any behaviors your animal might display. It can be a little scary to meet a new person sometimes, so talking about whether or not your pet does best with being praised, given treats, or giving them their own space to come to you, will be a big part in developing that trust with them. I’m willing to work with you and your pets needs, however that looks!

About: I have 3 dogs at home! Two are huskies that require a lot of energy while the sheltie doesn’t require as much walking but more attention! I want to get back into my routine of having animals since leaving for college I’ve been very bored! From owning and taking care of animals from dogs all the way to horses, I love animals so much and enjoy taking care of them! From a very young age, I’ve been taking care of friends and neighbors pets as long as I can remember. As a freshman in college, I have a lot of free time on my plate! I love to fill it with exercise but also want a job as well. I prioritize pets due to the fact that I can give a 100 percent since I have a lot of free time. I prioritize activity and one on one care with my animals and clients homes! I was a multi sport athlete in high school and I like to continue getting a lot of physical exercise so taking my dogs on long walks and making them feel loved is my top priority!

About: I’ve spent pretty much my entire life surrounded by animals. Growing up in Greece, my parents and I regularly took in stray dogs and cats and gave them permanent homes. At our peak, we had four dogs and six cats at the same time, most of whom simply walked into our backyard one day and apparently thought, “Yep, this will do!” They never left. Since moving to Austin five years ago, I’ve been pet sitting for friends and, thanks to word of mouth, friends of friends (and eventually people I had never met, which I take as a good sign). I’ve cared for dogs and cats of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, and have been trusted with walks, check-ins, feeding, playtime, and overnight stays. I’m very comfortable around animals and fully accept that while you’re away, your pet is the boss and I’m merely the staff. And yes, that’s Anna, our Westie, in my profile picture. She still lives with my parents in Greece, and whenever I FaceTime them, she is required to appear on screen first. My parents have accepted their place in the hierarchy. I’m a graduate student at UT, which gives me a pretty flexible schedule. Even on days when I need to be on campus, I often come home during my lunch break.
 My days usually start around 6 a.m. with a workout and wind down around 10 p.m. with a book in bed, so I’m happy to accommodate both early risers and pets who take their beauty sleep very seriously. Walks, playtime, meals, check-ins, and plenty of attention can easily fit into my daily routine. If your pet loves a routine, I’m your person. I know how much animals rely on familiarity, especially when their humans are away, so I’ll follow their normal feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. I’m active and always happy to go for a long neighborhood walk—or, if you live downtown, your dog and I may become regulars on the trail. But I’m equally committed to the important work of doing absolutely nothing. If your pet prefers couch time, they’re welcome to join me while I read. I’ll handle the book; they can handle the naps. Above all, I’ll treat your home and your pet with the same care and respect I’d want someone to show mine, and I’m happy to send plenty of updates and photos while you’re away.

About: Hi! my name is Drew and I grew up on a farm in Connecticut where I lived with animals my whole life. I currently live in Zilker Park, right near great walking trails, my unit has not only a great patio that dogs can laze on but a dog park right next to my unit! I am able to board 2/3 dogs or travel to walk your fur baby. If you have any questions please feel free to ask! I am currently working remote and have the ability to go out whenever I need to. I am able to travel and also board! I prefer not to sit at someones house. I love to warm up to a dog to feel their energy before interacting with them. About: I’m a Student athlete at St. Edwards University. I have had animals my whole life! I have been pet sitting since I was 11 years old. I’ve trained my own pets my whole life! Please reach out! About: I am able to care for all animals. I have had dogs my entire life and lived with cats. I am young and able to walk as long as your pet needs! My schedule is currently open since I am a graduate student, meaning my summers are free! I have my own dog but in the middle of the day and late afternoon I am open. I am available to take your pets on long walks, keep them company, and give them treats! I am used playing fetch for long period of time or crating pets before I leave the home.

About: I had a Newfoundland and 2 Bernese mountain dogs growing up. I would walk them around my neighborhood and making sure they stayed calm. For the Bernese one was old while the other was young, i would take both of them for a walk. When i hit a mile I would drop off the older one and keep walking with the younger one I am currently working at a restaurant with adjustable hours. I can change them based on what the dog needs for day and night care. Making sure the water bowl is always filled and is a good temperature to keep them cold. Checking the temperature outside to make sure it is not too hot for the. animal to get walked

About: Hello there, I'm Courtney! As a work-from-home environmental engineer, I’m home throughout the day and able to provide consistent supervision, structure, and attention to make sure your pup will be engaged, exercised and loved. I have a 3 year old poodle who is social, playful and gets along really well with other dogs and cats. I’m very attuned to dog body language, play styles and making sure introductions are done slowly and safely. I’m comfortable with high-energy dogs who need structured exercise as well as more laid-back pups who just want affection and companionship. I live within walking distance of three parks here in Austin, so regular walks, sniff breaks and enrichment time are built into our routine. I’m also happy to reinforce training cues, support crate training, administer basic medications, and provide extra patience and care for senior dogs. I have spent time with animals throughout all of my life, in all shapes and sizes. I have also volunteered at animal shelters in Virginia, Florida and Texas. I am an experienced pet caretaker and am dedicated to treating and loving your animals as if they were my own! About: I've taken care of my own dogs my whole life; in fact, my first word was dog. I have a German Shepherd named Valerie and a Basenji named Sandy who fight like sisters. My duties have included making sure they are fed, fit, and loved. I love playing fetch and tug-of-war with them and giving them belly rubs! I've made sure they stay healthy by giving them any meds they need as they get older and brushing them weekly (even though they still shed like crazy!). I've also taken care of neighbors' dogs, feeding and taking them on walks while their owners were away. I've taken care of neighbors' cats too, cleaning out litter boxes and coming to play with them if they're in the mood! Looking forward to meeting all of your fur babies too! I'm a college student heading into my junior year and missing my dogs back home. I have a lot of availability to check in on pets or take them for walks around my class schedule, and I'm available for overnight stays any day of the week. About: For the last decade or so, I have been the first call made when a friend or family member has plans to go out of town (or out for a night on the town). Let’s face it. Finding someone who can love and protect your own pet the way you would is challenging, to say the least. Being a dog owner myself, I understand the indescribable love we feel for our fur babies. Lucky for you, I utilize my background in psychology to create a safe atmosphere for the dogs I am responsible for. Dogs need enrichment and positive associations. I rely on natural (or homemade) snuffle mats and other enrichment methods to give your pup mental exercise and I won’t shy away from a competitive (but safe) game of tug-of-war, a fun jog/run, or a walk to get our physical exercise. I’m looking forward to meeting your furry friend! I am currently exploring my options professionally, so I have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for my furry friends. Whether it’s a long walk or a rainy day snuggle, almost everything I do involves a furry little sidekick! As I am currently living in an apartment complex with my own two small pups, I am pausing my boarding and daycare services until I have more space to comfortably separate the pups if needed.
