About: I’ve spent pretty much my entire life surrounded by animals. Growing up in Greece, my parents and I regularly took in stray dogs and cats and gave them permanent homes. At our peak, we had four dogs and six cats at the same time, most of whom simply walked into our backyard one day and apparently thought, “Yep, this will do!” They never left. Since moving to Austin five years ago, I’ve been pet sitting for friends and, thanks to word of mouth, friends of friends (and eventually people I had never met, which I take as a good sign). I’ve cared for dogs and cats of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, and have been trusted with walks, check-ins, feeding, playtime, and overnight stays. I’m very comfortable around animals and fully accept that while you’re away, your pet is the boss and I’m merely the staff. And yes, that’s Anna, our Westie, in my profile picture. She still lives with my parents in Greece, and whenever I FaceTime them, she is required to appear on screen first. My parents have accepted their place in the hierarchy. I’m a graduate student at UT, which gives me a pretty flexible schedule. Even on days when I need to be on campus, I often come home during my lunch break.
 My days usually start around 6 a.m. with a workout and wind down around 10 p.m. with a book in bed, so I’m happy to accommodate both early risers and pets who take their beauty sleep very seriously. Walks, playtime, meals, check-ins, and plenty of attention can easily fit into my daily routine. If your pet loves a routine, I’m your person. I know how much animals rely on familiarity, especially when their humans are away, so I’ll follow their normal feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. I’m active and always happy to go for a long neighborhood walk—or, if you live downtown, your dog and I may become regulars on the trail. But I’m equally committed to the important work of doing absolutely nothing. If your pet prefers couch time, they’re welcome to join me while I read. I’ll handle the book; they can handle the naps. Above all, I’ll treat your home and your pet with the same care and respect I’d want someone to show mine, and I’m happy to send plenty of updates and photos while you’re away.

About: Do you have a dachshund that you’re nervous to leave in someone else’s care because of how unique they are? I completely understand. I was the same way with mine. Dachshunds have their own little quirks, and their backs require some extra care. I know how important it is to have someone who understands how to properly pick them up and why you don’t want them constantly jumping off beds or couches. My home has stairs leading up to both, so they can get where they want to go without putting unnecessary stress on their backs. My husband and I also work from home full-time with flexible jobs, so your Velcro pup won’t be left alone. I’m able to give them lots of attention, hang out with them throughout the day, and take them outside as many times as they need. 5–6 times a day? No worries! I’ve watched multiple dachshunds for friends I’ve met through our local dachshund meetup, and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know each of them and their little personalities. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dachshund with someone else, and I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re in good hands. I decided to offer my services on Rover because I know what it’s like to be new to town and not have someone you trust to watch your dog. If you’re looking for someone who already understands dachshunds and all their little quirks, I’d love to meet you and your pup! My husband and I work from home every day, so we are at the beck and call of your pup! Whatever they need, I can provide: all day cuddles, potty outside breaks, mid-day walks… you name it. I have a knack for reading animal behavior- dogs have very clear warning signs when they’re on edge, shy, excited, etc. I will make sure your pet stays safe and comfortable and avoid any situations that may cause any doubt

About: I have 3 dogs at home! Two are huskies that require a lot of energy while the sheltie doesn’t require as much walking but more attention! I want to get back into my routine of having animals since leaving for college I’ve been very bored! From owning and taking care of animals from dogs all the way to horses, I love animals so much and enjoy taking care of them! From a very young age, I’ve been taking care of friends and neighbors pets as long as I can remember. As a freshman in college, I have a lot of free time on my plate! I love to fill it with exercise but also want a job as well. I prioritize pets due to the fact that I can give a 100 percent since I have a lot of free time. I prioritize activity and one on one care with my animals and clients homes! I was a multi sport athlete in high school and I like to continue getting a lot of physical exercise so taking my dogs on long walks and making them feel loved is my top priority!

About: I’ve worked at an Animal Hospital for 3 years and have more knowledge on pet care and health than most! My friends have relied on me to take care of their dogs and cats when they’re out of town or unable to come home during their work day. Whether that’s just hanging out in their space, taking them on walks, administering meds, or having play time, the pets in my care are sure to feel safe and loved in my company. I’m currently on my self discovery journey and not working at a full or part time job. So, I’m pretty available, outside of taking care of my own kitties. When coming into you and your pets space, I make sure to discuss with you any behaviors your animal might display. It can be a little scary to meet a new person sometimes, so talking about whether or not your pet does best with being praised, given treats, or giving them their own space to come to you, will be a big part in developing that trust with them. I’m willing to work with you and your pets needs, however that looks!

About: For the first time in my life, I do not have a fur baby due to living in apartments. I've gone too long without caring for dogs which is why I've picked up pet sitting as a side job. I have a full time job so my availability is a little limited. My entire life, my dogs have been my best friends and I care for them more than I care for most humans so I understand the love other dog owners have for their babies. I will provide the best care possible and listen carefully to any instructions you give. I am experienced in caring for more than one pet at once. I have pet sitted two dogs, two cats, seven goats, and 2 horses in one day so there's not a challenge I'm not willing to take. About: I grew up with dogs and cats and have been a faithful companion to my black cat, Odysseus, for the last 14 years. I also have experience caring for fish, snakes, and rats! I am working part time so I usually have flexibility during the day between 11am and 10pm to take care of your animals. About: I’m a Student athlete at St. Edwards University. I have had animals my whole life! I have been pet sitting since I was 11 years old. I’ve trained my own pets my whole life! Please reach out! About: I've had dogs my entire life, 3 decades of experience, including raising golden retriever puppies in our household and litters upon litters of kittens. though I would count the last 12 years since I was in college as heavy experience with dogs (and cats) of all kinds. I have personally had a rottweiler mix for 9 years, and currently have a 4 year old 105lb hound mix and an 3 year old 40lb cattle dog mix, as well as a 1 year old cat. I have helped different partners over the years raise anything from a 4lb chihuahua, a catahoula mix, and a french bulldog. Additionally I have bottle fed and raised several litters of kittens and fostered several cats and dogs over the years before locating them to forever homes. I don't have formal dog training experience but I am confident in my ability to love and care for dogs and cats of all types. I am self-employed and my hours are incredibly flexible as I work from home. I live in East Austin. I am self employed so I have a flexible schedule that I fill my extra time with dog walking and pet sitting when I can. I live with my partner and our 3 dogs so for dog sitting I would prefer to drop into or stay in your home but am happy to do so!
