“Laura is the best! My senior dog Tiny took to her immediately. I’ve used Laura twice so far and she’s been punctual, communicative and just overall wonderful. Tiny can be reactive and some quirks, but Laura has been mindful of them and I’m at ease knowing Tiny is in her care! Will definitely continue to book with Laura :)”
“My Bonny took to her right away, and my anxious girl can sometimes be selective. Avary did so well with my velcro dog (doesn't like to leave mama) and took her on a great walk! Will def be booking again!”

About: I have taking a vet science course for 3 years, where I have been taught to care for many different animals. I also have experience in taking care of animals myself a rabbit, a guinea pig, and a Labrador retriever. I am currently on break from college and looking to fill my days with jobs that gives me different experiences everyday even better if it’s doing something I love. When I care for my pets and hopefully yours, I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow their normal routine, and any special instructions you share. I love taking long walks, so your animal will get plenty of exercise and outdoor time. I will keep their space clean, give a lot of attention, and send regular updates and photos with permission throughout their day.
“10/10 Ciara was awesome walking Zion when I went on vacation for 10 days. She walked him twice a day for an hour each time rain or shine, and was always on time. She also took pictures and left a great summary each time. I highly recommend Ciara and am looking forward to hiring her again!”

“Daniella followed our guidelines to a T and communicated during and after the walk. We got home to find our boy happy! She also checked with me about bringing some of her own treats beforehand to make sure they were good for our pup. You can absolutely trust her with your furry friends!”

“Will forever sing Lenford’s praises. He has shown up for me and my pup, Mochi, so frequently over the last year. So grateful for him and his partner! They’re fantastic.”

“Cagri was very friendly and my Rocky loved him. He was able to handle his big goofy self. Rocky walked calmly next to him outside and did his business a few times. Cagri communicated with me when he was on his way and took pictures while on the walk. WIll definitely use him again for my dogs walk. Rocky gives him 2 paws up.”

About: I've always had a multitude of critters in my life, from dogs and cats to hamsters and even tarantulas! Pet care is something that has always been a priority for my happiness... animals enrich our lives so deeply, and thus I am delighted to commit time to care for them. I have volunteered with a multitude of shelters and organizations, and have worked with hundreds of different types of animals with a large variety of needs. From kittens and puppies to seniors, from calm and independent to high energy and anxious-- nothing phases me, I've seen it all! I am a freelance artist with a very flexible schedule. I am able to sit overnight in your home and will be able to stay with them throughout the day. When I take care of pets in my clients home, I will stay 100% of the time if needed. Your peace of mind is my priority! I will follow your pet's routine to a T, and am happy to provide various forms of enrichment and interaction depending on their needs. I also will take care of various house tasks, such as plant care and taking in mail. I love taking photos and will happily and frequently send them alongside updates if that is what you would like! And of course, I will contact you if there are any problems requiring your specific guidance. As a pet owner myself, I know how nerve wracking leaving them behind can be. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out and I'll respond promptly. I'd love to hear from you, and I'd love to get to know your furry best friend! Thank you for reading :) I'm a freelance animator, and the time I spend working is super flexible. At this moment in time, I am very free for sitting, with flexible hours Monday-Sunday. I am a very big routine follower-- when you go away, one of the biggest things your pet is anxious about is their routine changing, and I can help with that! I can do walks, feeding, medication, playtimes, etc. any time that your pet needs it, on whatever schedule given. Other than that, my downtime in your home is mostly spent drawing or reading, so I'm always there to keep a close eye.
“Always takes such great care of our girl. I really feel like she is in tune with our dog's wants and needs and provides individualized care. Bonny always looks forward to their walks together ❤️”

“Jennifer has been walking my stinky dog for a while now and I am so happy with her support. My dog is a character and really skiddish but she gets him going. She is always very helpful when making arrangements for extra walks when I am going on vacation and has a such an easy going approach. She is nice and professional always.”

About: I’ve been caring for cats and dogs my whole life. I see pets as individuals with individual needs, and I aim to give each one the attention he or she deserves. My schedule is wide open, because I’m in the process of searching for my next career job. In the meantime, I’m eager to meet some Brooklyn dog and cat owners who need a friendly, reliable pet sitter. I am good with cats and dogs of all sizes, and I am willing to accommodate any special needs. My own cat has separation anxiety, and so I understand how much attention some pets need. I am more than happy to spend quality time with cats and dogs.
About: I have a great deal of expertise caring for dogs and cats. My family had a dog and a cat. I used to look after my friends' dogs when I was in college. Hence, this position is perfect for me. Even though I attend school full-time, I have plenty of free time to properly care for the pets in my care. In addition, I'm free most weekends because I study a lot. Depending on our schedules, I can be very flexible with pet arrangements and am a highly attentive pet sitter. I am a very organized and neat individual.
About: Hi there! My name is Jason, and I'd love to take care of your dog! I grew up on Long Island with both cats and dogs, and over the years I've volunteered with several shelters and I've fostered more pups than I can count. I presently live in Crown Heights, but I’m able to travel all over Brooklyn for dog care duties (I have a bike + car). Typically during the days I work as a high school co-teacher, but I’m currently off for the summer. I’m also a graduate student actively taking classes, but I have plenty of time to walk and/or hang out with your pup during both the day and at night. I also have a knack for training, so I'd be happy to follow whatever regiment you have in place or work with them on something new. I’m very active and I love being outside whenever I can, so your dog would have lots of opportunities to see sights and smell smells, but I'm also quite skilled at hanging home and scratching bellies if your dog is more of a loafer. Feel free to reach out with any questions, and thanks for considering me! - Jason I'm a big creature of habit and I love having a dog around to help keep me to a structured schedule re: walks and feedings. I can also adapt to more specific needs. I try to follow any provided instructions and guidelines as much as possible, and I like to think I treat other people's pets as if they're my own. I'm also extremely cautious and detail oriented, so i'm always thinking ahead with regard to a dog's health and safety.

Brianna is a wonderful dog walker! She was always reliable, dependable, and took such great care of our dog. Our dog absolutely loved going on walks with her and was always so excited to see her. We felt completely comfortable knowing our dog was in such good hands. I would highly recommend Brianna to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker!

Ciara you were absolutely awesome this week, thank you for always being so reliable, flexible and sweet with the dogs. The day I asked to prioritize Mae going #2 and taking into account all of the little things, it means so much especially with these hectic weeks! I love coming home knowing the dogs are in a better mood because they got a midday reprieve. Have a wonderful weekend! :)

Natalie has been an extremely considerate and reliable walker for my senior dog. She asked thoughtful questions about my dog’s routine and needs at the outset, and gives helpful updates after the walks. My typically shy and anxious dog seems to have taken to Natalie really well!

Cagri is super responsive and communicative. We needed him for a last-minute walk and it was super easy to coordinate with him and clarify what our older dogs needed. He was early to arrive and very responsible with making sure the dogs were clean and set up properly when dropping them off. Will definitely reach out again!
Jorge was absolutely fantastic with Dahlia and we would rebook with him in a heartbeat! Dahlia can be a bit of a diva—especially with new dog walkers—and he handled it with aplomb, gaining her trust with patience and kindness. He also provided extremely thorough daily summaries and photos of their walks, and was responsive, communicative, and flexible when needed. Thank you Jorge for taking such good care of our girl!

Daniella followed our guidelines to a T and communicated during and after the walk. We got home to find our boy happy! She also checked with me about bringing some of her own treats beforehand to make sure they were good for our pup. You can absolutely trust her with your furry friends!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
