About: Hi l'm Christian, I have 8 years of pet experience. I own a pitbull named Zeus. So I can handle any pet situation. I've also watched my friends and family pets, and took care of them for extended periods of time. I will ensure your dog gets the proper walk and love and care it needs! As a college student home for the summer, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and consistent care throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I would follow their pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions. I’d also make sure their home is respected and kept clean while giving their pet plenty of attention, care, and comfort

Joshua came to walk my pups on a rainy day. This is the most difficult time to walk them as they hate rain and are shy around new people. He did great! He took them both out and checked in with me to keep me up to speed and if he had any questions. I have trouble taking them out in rainy days so 10/10 will definitely book again!

About: About me! Have had my cat Bo for 18 years, and also previously two Maine Coons. Currently have a second cat, Sydney, 3 years old, the second love of my life. Rescued an 11-year-old golden retriever in 2017. Have dog sat / cat sat / dog walked for family and friends for years, most recently a Rhodesian ridgeback and golden/lab mix in the West Village, and a husky/cattle dog and a chihuahua/Jack russell mix - both in Bushwick. I am reliable, friendly and easy going. I go the extra mile - not just in this but all things. I’ll do whatever in my power to care for your baby and make you feel comfortable. I get it - I’ve used this service. You want to know that the person is doing their part when and how they say, and that your dog/cat is in good hands. I’m also ok w messy jobs. I’ve cleaned up after my sisters bulldog/terrier mix Bonnie when she’s pooped all over the house Bc her stomach was upset :/ From Las Vegas/California, college educated (BA in journalism / polysci). I’m an actor, writer & remote worker. I currently work part-time, fully from home, and my schedule is flexible. With a bit of notice I should be able to accommodate most requests. Thank you for enquiring! I can do both in terms of pets in my home / clients home. As long as your animal is OK w a cat, they can stay at mine, but happy to dog/cat sit from your place as well.

About: I’ve spent a lot of time caring for my boyfriend’s dog and cat, so I’m comfortable with different routines and personalities. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with animals. As a college student, I’m responsible and reliable, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. I’ll always make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for. 🐶🐱 Pet care fits well into my routine as a side hustle alongside my part-time job. I’m good at managing my time and can be flexible with walks, drop-ins, and sitting depending on the day. I make sure every pet gets my full attention and never overbook, so your pet’s care is always a priority. I provide care in my client’s home since I live in a dorm. I always follow your instructions closely and stick to your pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. I’m careful about safety, keep doors and gates locked, and make sure your home is respected and left just as I found it. About: I’ve always enjoyed being around dogs because every one of them has a different personality. Some want to run around and investigate every smell in the neighborhood, while others are happiest taking their time and enjoying the walk. I’m dependable, patient, and pay attention to details. If you leave instructions, I’ll follow them. If your dog has a routine, I’ll respect it. And if they have a favorite route, toy, or weird habit, I’ll probably notice that too. Friends and family would describe me as observant and easygoing. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and getting to know what makes each dog unique. My goal is simple: make sure your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for while giving you peace of mind. Whether that’s a quick walk, playtime, or just some extra company during the day, I’m happy to help. Pet care fits naturally into my schedule right now, which gives me flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, and checkins throughout the week. I’m reliable, punctual, and make it a priority to show up when I say I will. I understand that pets thrive on consistency, so I do my best to keep their routines as normal as possible. Whether your pet needs exercise, playtime, feeding, or simply some company during the day, I’m happy to help. I believe good pet care starts with trust, communication, and attention to detail. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any specific instructions so they can feel comfortable and secure. When caring for pets in their home, I treat the space with the same respect I would want for my own. I make safety a priority, keep owners updated when needed, and pay close attention to how pets are behaving so I can respond to their individual needs. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel comfortable and confident while you’re away.

About: I’ve always been really good with animals. When I visited my family in Ecuador, we had several free roaming guard dogs, so I became comfortable around dogs with different personalities and energy levels. Here in NYC, I’ve also helped take care of my cousins’ and family members’ dogs. I’m patient, careful, and will treat your pet like family. I am currently a full-time college student, which gives me a flexible schedule in the afternoons and evenings. I am usually home during the week and work part-time on weekends, allowing me plenty of time to care for pets and provide them with attention, exercise, and companionship I have a secure fenced yard where dogs can safely play and explore. I also live near Juniper Valley Park, which is perfect for daily walks and exercise. I treat every pet like family, making sure they are comfortable, supervised, and cared for in a safe and loving environment.

About: I'm new to Rover but I would love to get some more experience working with all kinds of animals! I am a working professional and have taken care of cats and dogs for pretty much my whole life. Hopefully I can be of some useful service to you and your pets as well! I’m highly communicative with owners during visits/check-ins and while house sitting. I am the type to arrive either right on time or five minutes early. I’m attentive to pets and their needs, and happy to fulfill specific requests (ex: pet needs to be fed at blank exact time, etc). I’m available on weekends most of the day or night or most days after 5 pm! I am also available weekdays in the early morning hours as well. I feed my pets twice a day on a routine schedule and make sure they get plenty of activity! They are conditioned at this point to know when it’s time for food!

Austin is so great with our older French Bulldog, Penelope. She has some mobility issues, and he is incredibly patient with her, conscious of her need for short walks, and gives her a nice brushing and some outside time when she's done walking. Kate is absolutely incredible and truly treats our animals as if they are her own! I have a high-maintenance dog but her attention to detail is unmatched. She followed all my notes perfectly, asked the right questions. She is also so proactive. She even switched up their walking route on the fly when there was a disturbance on the block. Her photo updates and notes after every visit are fantastic. Even though it's a daily routine, she writes every summary with so much care, like it's the first time she's updating us. She also does an amazing job with my partner's cat. Kate is officially our go-to for all our pup and cat needs and we'll definitely be booking her from now on!

Here's a polished and warm Rover review: Kameron has been walking and caring for my Boston Terrier, Noah, for the past two years, and she has been absolutely wonderful. From day one, she has treated Noah as if he were her own, providing him with exceptional care, attention, and affection. One of my favorite things about working with Kameron is the thoughtful photo updates she sends every day. I always looked forward to checking them during my lunch break and seeing Noah happy, comfortable, and having fun. Kameron has also been incredibly reliable and supportive during unexpected situations. In emergencies, she was always communicative, responsive, and willing to help, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. Whenever she stayed in my home, she left everything spotless and exactly as she found it. Her professionalism, trustworthiness, and genuine love for animals have made her an invaluable part of Noah's life. I cannot thank Kameron enough for the wonderful care she has provided over the last two years. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, caring dog walker or house sitter. Your pets will be in excellent hands!

  • 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
