About: Hi! I'm an artist/educator living in Sunnyside, Queens who adores all animals. I have a cat myself, named Lemon, who I adore. I've taken care of a multitude of pets through Rover. Additionally, I have cared for my past roommates cats every time she travels and have grown up taking care of cats. I have also cared for several friends' cats while they are away. Growing up, my family had two cats which I fed, played with, and still hold very dear to me. Tending to the cats needs comes very naturally to me, I connect with almost every cat I encounter, even ones that I've been told are not "people cats"! I'm currently working as a teaching artist, adjunct instructor, and choreographer. My schedule offers moderate flexibility leaving me free to stop by and care for your pets! Reach out if you are wondering if my schedule will allow me an opening to care for your pet- I can likely work with your needs. I'm very detail oriented and make sure there is plenty of room for the pet to express, rest, and play! I know it's very important to engage with the animals actively and I love doing so. It's important for me to give them all the attention they need and comfort them while their loved ones may be away.

About: I'm a passionate dog lover dedicated to providing exceptional care for your furry companions. With years of experience, I understand the unique needs and quirks of each dog. From daily walks to playtime and cuddles, I create a loving and stimulating environment that ensures their happiness and well-being. Trust me to treat your four-legged family member as my own, providing personalized attention and a safe space for them to thrive. Let me be your go-to caregiver for your precious pup! I have experience with special diet administering, enrichment, post surgery care + essential pet care skills through my time as an ASPCA volunteer in NYC as well as a local shelter volunteer in my college town! while i do work 9-5 mon-fri, i love keeping my self busy outside of work and nothing would make my weekend better than to spend it with your pet, truly. I used to have my dog live with me for the past few years, so if need be, my home will always be pet friendly for yours! I am also very comfortable caring for pets in their own home as that it what they are used to.
About: Hi! I am Annie Abrams! I grow up with my home full of animals, I love taking care of my dogs and cats! I’m good at caring for cats and dogs of different personalities and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has their own routine and needs, so I’m happy to follow feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication instructions, and any special care they require. I’m also very attentive to changes in a pet’s behavior and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your furry family member is in good hands. My schedule is fairly flexible, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pets. I’m especially flexible during weekdays and can usually accommodate different schedules with advance notice. I treat every pet with the same care and attention I would give my own. In my client’s home, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, litter box care, walks, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. I’m respectful of your home and always make sure everything is clean and secure before I leave. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away.
About: Hi! I’m Ashley :) I’m a Brooklyn based pet sitter (I just moved from Miami, Florida!) with a flexible schedule and 20 years of hand on experience caring for dogs of different sizes, breeds and personalities. I’ve been looking after dogs since I was 8 years old including senior dogs, puppies, anxious dogs and dogs that require medication 🖤 I’m very patient, communicative and attentive to each dog’s individual needs I currently live near a park and enjoy long walks :) I care about enrichment time and making sure pets feel safe while their owners are away. I also understand dogs feel most relaxed in their own environment so I’m happy to do house sitting and walks in your home as well I work independently as a part time tattoo artist and I’m able to give to accommodate different routines any day of the week at any time My apartment currently doesn’t allow pets so I provide care in the clients home. I always follow the owners instructions regarding feeding, routines, medications, etc. based on your pets age, size and breed. I do like to start the day with a walk! I follow that up with a trip to a park or playtime later in the day to keep your pet entertained and engaged. I also include any additional walks, potty breaks, cuddles and enrichment to make sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for
“My dog is old and has quite a few special needs. Austin has a really lovely way with him. Austin has been incredibly patient and gentle and thoughtful about my dog's experience. I highly recommend Austin to care for your senior dog or any dog with special needs.”

“After we moved and needed a walker in our new neighborhood, Cassidy stepped without skipping a beat, to provide the care and attention our pups love from her. Both were really happy to see her and showed this with lots of excitement and tail wagging. Thanks again Cassidy!”

“Asher did a wonderful job watching our dog, Hendrix! Hendrix is sometimes not the most comfortable around strangers but we knew he was in good hands with Asher and really warmed up to him. Asher was always very responsive and kept us posted on updates. We will definitely ask Asher to dog sit again.”

“Devora was super communicative, and was very patient with Cheeto (who can be a bit suspicious of new people in his space!). I got regular updates during the walk and felt at ease knowing she was looking after my lil guy. Will definitely be booking w Devora again!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up in Kentucky, where I spent my childhood caring for dogs, cats, and even a few horses! I have been in New York for 10 years, and have spent that time dog and cat sitting for friends, family, and neighbors across the city. I'm also a cat mom to two wonderful little cats (Pigeon - 6 & Salem - 4), so I know firsthand how crucial it is to trust the person caring for your pet and understand the importance of routines and patience when it comes to our fur babies. As someone who loves being active, I'm always happy to tailor walks to your dog's energy level, and as a writer by profession, I know how much thoughtful communication matters! I love sending photo updates and little stories so you know your pet is happy and in good hands. My #1 goal is always to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I'm happy to reinforce any training you're working on and have experience with shy, senior, or anxious pets. I love learning each pet's quirks—whether that's a favorite toy, preferred walking route, or bedtime routine. I can't wait to connect with you and your fur child! I work from home most days, so I am happy to provide drop-ins, walks, and overnight care at my home! I currently work remotely, which gives me the flexibility to spend plenty of quality time with the pets in my care. Because I'm home for much of the day, I can provide regular walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship instead of leaving pets alone for long stretches. I hope to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible while you're away! I live in a cozy one-bedroom apartment in a quiet three-unit building on the border of Ridgewood and Bushwick. My home is clean, calm, and a great environment for pets who enjoy a relaxed space to unwind. There are plenty of parks and tree-lined streets nearby for walks, and I love getting outside for regular exercise and fresh air. Since I work remotely, pets in my care receive lots of attention, companionship, and frequent potty breaks throughout the day rather than being left alone for long periods. Whether I'm hosting your pet, stopping by for visits, or taking them on walks, I'll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for as if they were my own. I have two cats of my own and they get along with other pets super well! They love dogs and cats alike.
“Briana has been amazing! Very puntual, polite and great communication skills. My 2 pups adore her. She has also been flexible to help me when i am working late and my pups need afternoon walks. I will continue booking with her.”

About: I've been a dog lover as long as I can remember! When I was younger and we weren't able to house a dog yet, I would walk neighbor's dogs and dogsit whenever anyone needed. Our first dog was a puppy when we got her, and I lent a helping hand in her care. My personal favorite thing to do was to teach her tricks. After she sadly passed away, my family and I made the decision to take in rescue dogs. Since moving to New York, I adopted my own rescue dog, and it’s been the most amazing three years with her since then. I am a recent graduate of The New School, and still looking for a full time position somewhere, so I have more open availability. Times I am available do vary from day to day. I am ready and willing to keep within whatever parameters you have for your dog in your house, and feel comfortable asking if I have any specificities I need answered

Miller is awesome! He came on time, on a last minute request. My dog Mitch had a great time with him, and looking forward to booking again! It can be hard to find someone trustworthy when you have a reactive dog, but Miller made everything easy. Definitely recommend!

Senica is fantastic. She has been taking care of our dog Bentley for a few months now and has been very responsible, careful but most of all a great companion for Bentley. He can be difficult at times because of his breed (Beagle) but Senica makes every effort to hear out our suggestions, instructions and is very caring and adapted so quickly to him and his needs. Not to mention she does a great job of keeping him active, happy and always taking him to the best locations! She goes well above and beyond anything we could have asked for in a walker/sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
