About: Hi! I’m Holly and I’ve loved and cared for animals of all kinds (chickens, dogs, reptiles, birds, kitties, and fish)my entire life. I have hands-on experience raising puppies and providing care for senior animals with changing needs. As a teacher, I love spending my free time and summers with animals, making sure they feel safe and loved while their owners are away. Whether your pet needs a long walk, playtime, or a chill hangout, I'll take care of them like I would my own pets. I’m currently on summer vacation from teaching, so I have ample free time to spend caring for your animals! Available Monday through Friday throughout the work day. I follow all details of care instructions and make sure your animal feels safe, comfortable, and has plenty of love and attention. On walks, I use secure leashes, pay close attention to our surroundings, and make sure your pup gets the exercise they need. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll respect your space, stick to their routine, and send updates with photos so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands.

About: Several years ago, when a friend was going through a rough time in her life, I housed and took care of her dog for half a year, and that's when I realized I could do this! Since then, I've regularly taken care of other friends' pets on and off, and I would love to do the same for your pet too! This is my full-time job, which means you and your fur baby will get my full-time attention! Except for Thursdays which I reserve for community volunteer work, my schedule is very flexible, and I will do my best to accommodate you and your pet's needs. I live in a 1-bedroom apartment with no roommates! I also have 2 AC units to keep the space nice and cool during the hot summer months. Every few months, I also house my friend's pet, an American Eskimo dog who is very friendly and absolutely loves meeting other dogs! I live near several dog parks that are within 15 minutes' walk, so your fur babies will always have a chance to meet new friends and neighbors. I love taking care of dogs, whether at my home or at yours!
“Eliza helped with a last minute walk for our large labradoodle. Haven’t had anyone walk her other than us before. Eliza was very responsive, nice, and comforting to any questions we had. Sent pictures and a video to know our girl was happy and taken care of.”

About: Hello! My name is Faith and I am a pet sitter with 10 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and even lizards! Over the past ten years, I have gained experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels, and I find joy in getting to know your pet’s unique personality and catering to their needs! As I am pet sitting full time, I have open availability for drop-in visits, housesitting, and walking, and am able to accommodate to your pet’s specific schedule. I prioritize safety, routine, and communication. When housesitting or doing drop-in visits, I make sure to follow all care instructions closely and maintain your pet's normal schedule to eliminate any stress! When walking, I am alert and attentive, and I am mindful of your pet's walking/socialization habits.
“My first meet and greet walk with Austin went great! He seems to have a good understanding and handle of reactive dogs and I’m looking forward to booking more walks.”

“After we moved and needed a walker in our new neighborhood, Cassidy stepped without skipping a beat, to provide the care and attention our pups love from her. Both were really happy to see her and showed this with lots of excitement and tail wagging. Thanks again Cassidy!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
