“Keegan was amazing with Mars!! He was very considerate of his needs and made sure mars wasn’t too hot on the walk and gave him so much attention! I could tell when I got home how happy mars was to play during the day :) will definitely continue to use Keegan’s walking services and strongly recommend him to anyone!!”

About: I work from home full-time, so your dog gets company and supervision all day: no long stretches alone. My basement-level apartment has a private, fully enclosed outdoor open-sky patio with direct sliding-door access for easy care, play, and sunbathing. I’ve fostered dogs before and share my home with Jasper, my friendly 5-year-old corgi, who loves canine company (we do a meet-and-greet before every booking to make sure everyone’s comfortable). Daily routine includes walks, play sessions, and photo updates so you always know how your pup is doing. Neutered/spayed dogs only, please or we can talk about it in depth before booking. I work from home full-time and go gig work on the side. My work and career are flexible to meet the needs of those who are looking for a treat extra support and care! I can easily adapt to any needs for care. Since I work from home, pups can stay out and about with me all day. We take multiple walks throughout the day around the neighborhood and/or the block which is very dog friendly. Additionally, there is a park within 10 minutes walk and a dog park within 10 minutes walk however we typically will stay on our back patio and do treat dispensing play toys, splash pad days, or general lounging. The patio is where the pups love to explore and lay out on in the sun. It is cleaned off daily and deep cleaned weekly.

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’ve also fostered dogs with a wide range of temperaments and behaviors. For every dog I've taken care of, I make sure to adapt to each of their needs, routines, and comfort level. I aim to provide patient, attentive care so every dog feels safe and comfortable. I'm currently working from home so I'll be available to your dog at all times. I usually walk my dog at least 3 times a day. Happy to adjust to whatever your dog may need! I keep a variety of dog toys available for your dog's entertainment, and I have a small/medium-sized crate available if your dog is crate trained or prefers having a quiet space to relax. Generally, I try to follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and at home.
About: I’ve been caring for my own pets and those of friends, family, and neighbors since I was around 10 years old. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have experience caring for both dogs and cats, from puppies and kittens to senior pets. I currently have three cats of my own: one senior cat (14 years old) and two younger cats (both 1 year old), so I’m comfortable caring for multiple pets at once. I’ve also cared for multi-dog households and have experience walking multiple dogs. I’ll make sure your pets receive the same love, attention, and care that I give my own! My flexible part-time schedule gives me plenty of availability for drop-in visits and quality time with your pet(s)! I’m available for drop-in visits, walks, feeding, playtime, litter box care, medication (if needed), and plenty of love and attention! As a cat mom to three, I’m experienced in caring for multi-cat households. I maintain multiple litter boxes, closely monitor mealtimes to ensure each cat eats their own food and everyone feels comfortable, and understand the importance of slow, stress-free introductions to new people, pets, and environments. I’m also experienced administering eye drops, ear drops, and oral medications.
About: My family has owned dogs since I was a little girl. I have recently moved to queens with my Fiancé and we simply miss my childhood dog being around everyday. Since we cannot own a puppy ourselves at this time, we would love to take care or walk any dog of any size. We always will provide a special level of care, communication, and attention to your fur baby. We focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I provide regular updates, photos, and make sure each dog gets personalized care based on their energy level, personality, and routine. Special skills: • Experience with large and high-energy dogs • Comfortable administering basic medications • Strong understanding of dog behavior and body language • Patient with anxious or shy dogs • Active lifestyle for long walks and playtime • Reliable communication and schedule flexibility We are the perfect sitters for your three day getaway vacation! Even with a full-time work schedule, we make pet care a natural part of our daily routine. My fiancé is home two days during the week, and we’re both home on weekends, so pets receive lots of attention, exercise, and companionship. We genuinely enjoy having animals around and make sure they feel like part of the family while they’re with us. I care for pets in my home as if they were my own. I focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment where they can relax and feel at home. I follow each pet’s normal routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions provided by the owner. Pets will receive plenty of attention, affection, and supervision throughout their stay.
About: I have two cats at home in Michigan who I love dearly and take care of: cleaning litter boxes, feeding, playing, etc. I also grew up with medium-sized dogs, love dogs oh so much, and have experience with their care as well: taking outside, going on walks, feeding, playing, etc. No explicit professional experience, but I can’t wait to gain some!!!! I love animals with every bone in my body :) I am a barista almost full-time and an aspiring actor, so auditions are a heavy part of my schedule. Shorter tasks and small drop-in visits are best for me! I love pets and treat them with so much love and care. There is nothing more special to me than the love of an animal, and I will do anything needed to keep their routine consistent and fun!
“Kaili did a great job handling my corgi! She is really responsible and friendly with dogs. I was calm during the trip knowing that Kaili will walk my cutie pie. Don’t hesitate to use Kaili’s help!”

About: I've been caring for dogs for over 20 years and have experience with dogs of different ages, personalities, and energy levels. I currently have a senior Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier who has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and paying close attention to changes in behavior or health. I know every dog is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with company, I'm happy to provide the care they need. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're apart. I work a hybrid schedule and work from home at least three days a week, giving me flexibility to spend quality time with your dog throughout the day. My in-office days are also flexible, so I can often adjust my schedule when needed. Whether your pup needs walks, playtime, potty breaks, or just some companionship, I'll do my best to keep them on their normal routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. I'll follow your instructions closely, maintain your pet's normal routine, and always prioritize their safety and comfort. I'm attentive to changes in behavior and will communicate with you promptly if I notice anything concerning. Whether caring for your pet in your home or taking them on walks, I'll treat them with the same love, patience, and respect that I give my own dog.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Astoria
Edward was absolutely wonderful! He is a very gentle, kind, and smart guy who took the time to listen to all of my concerns and followed every instruction I gave him. Because of some behavior challenges my dog has, I’m very careful and nervous about handing him off to someone else, but Edward immediately made me feel comfortable and confident that my dog was in great hands. His patience, professionalism, and genuine care really stood out. I highly recommend Edward to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for their dog!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
