About: I treat every dog like my own, focusing on safety, consistency, and genuine care. I pay close attention to each dog’s personality and needs, provide regular updates, and make sure every walk is both fun and enriching—not just routine. I am available on weekends and late night during the weekday. Really would love a pet but unfortunately cannot have one at the moment. I grew up with a dog and miss him ! I live in a spacious 1 bedroom if overnight boarding is needed and also live near the water which is great for dog walks. Happy to travel wherever is needed.
About: I've been caring for dogs for over 20 years and have experience with dogs of different ages, personalities, and energy levels. I currently have a senior Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier who has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and paying close attention to changes in behavior or health. I know every dog is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with company, I'm happy to provide the care they need. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're apart. I work a hybrid schedule and work from home at least three days a week, giving me flexibility to spend quality time with your dog throughout the day. My in-office days are also flexible, so I can often adjust my schedule when needed. Whether your pup needs walks, playtime, potty breaks, or just some companionship, I'll do my best to keep them on their normal routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. I'll follow your instructions closely, maintain your pet's normal routine, and always prioritize their safety and comfort. I'm attentive to changes in behavior and will communicate with you promptly if I notice anything concerning. Whether caring for your pet in your home or taking them on walks, I'll treat them with the same love, patience, and respect that I give my own dog.
About: I work from home full-time, so your dog gets company and supervision all day: no long stretches alone. My basement-level apartment has a private, fully enclosed outdoor open-sky patio with direct sliding-door access for easy care, play, and sunbathing. I’ve fostered dogs before and share my home with Jasper, my friendly 5-year-old corgi, who loves canine company (we do a meet-and-greet before every booking to make sure everyone’s comfortable). Daily routine includes walks, play sessions, and photo updates so you always know how your pup is doing. Neutered/spayed dogs only, please or we can talk about it in depth before booking. I work from home full-time and go gig work on the side. My work and career are flexible to meet the needs of those who are looking for a treat extra support and care! I can easily adapt to any needs for care. Since I work from home, pups can stay out and about with me all day. We take multiple walks throughout the day around the neighborhood and/or the block which is very dog friendly. Additionally, there is a park within 10 minutes walk and a dog park within 10 minutes walk however we typically will stay on our back patio and do treat dispensing play toys, splash pad days, or general lounging. The patio is where the pups love to explore and lay out on in the sun. It is cleaned off daily and deep cleaned weekly.
About: Hi! I'm Dory, I'm a lifelong animal lover who understands that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable, cared for, and confident while you're apart. I’ve cared for pets my entire life and understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. I have experience caring for cats ranging from 8-week-old kittens to 10-year-old adults, and I currently have three cats of my own. I have also cared for senior dogs and am comfortable administering medication when needed. What sets me apart is my reliability, attention to detail, and personalized approach to pet care. I treat every pet on a case-by-case basis and prioritize both the owner’s preferences and the safety, comfort, and happiness of each animal. Whether your pet loves playtime, quiet companionship, or extra patience and care, I’ll make sure they receive the attention they need. I know how important peace of mind is while you’re away, so I'll provide regular photo updates and a detailed report after each visit so you always know how your pet is doing. I look forward to treating your pets with the same love and care that I give my own! My schedule is currently very flexible, allowing me to provide consistent and dependable care throughout the week. I enjoy being able to dedicate my time to each pet’s individual routine and needs, whether that means a midday walk, playtime, feeding, or simply providing companionship and reassurance while their owners are away. I’ll make sure every pet receives attentive, loving care while you’re away. If you have any questions or specific needs, please feel free to reach out and I’ll do my best to accommodate. I provide care in your home where your pet feels most comfortable. I’ll follow their normal routine, keep them happy and safe, and make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, and companionship while you’re away. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions you have, whether it’s feeding schedules, favorite toys, walk preferences, or little habits that help your pet feel at ease. Every pet has their own personality, and I love taking the time to get to know what makes them happy. During each visit, I’ll send photo updates and a little report so you can feel connected and reassured that your furry friend is doing well. I’ll treat your pet and your home with the same care and respect I would want for my own.
“David took good care of my puppy Milo. He made sure he was fed before his walk and played with him before putting him back in his pen and giving him treats and communicated with me to ask questions and let me know how the walk went!”

“Karalyn was amazing! So easy and great to work with. She asked a lot of questions and really made me feel like my pup was in safe hands! We would definitely recommend and book again. She gave great service and updates.”

“It was my first time hiring a dog walker for Fuji and I must admit, I was very nervous. However, Marissa was phenomenal, I can’t recommend her enough. She over communicated, she was super patient, very helpful, punctual and kept my mind at ease while I was away. Fuji really enjoyed her too! Thank you again, Marissa!”

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’ve also fostered dogs with a wide range of temperaments and behaviors. Elise is the best! Very responsive - was able to coordinate a last minute Labor Day weekend midday walk for two of my friends’ dogs I’m sitting over the weekend. She sent tons of photos and provided detailed and entertaining updates of the walk. Highly recommend!

What a gem. Absolutely one of the best. I recommend him if anybody needs somebody that is very calm and patient. I couldn't have been lucky to have found somebody so trust in and down to earth. My dog absolutely is in love with him and I and so thankful that I connected with a good honest person. Very kind and very nurturing my dog didn't wanna come home ha ha

Miller is awesome! He came on time, on a last minute request. My dog Mitch had a great time with him, and looking forward to booking again! It can be hard to find someone trustworthy when you have a reactive dog, but Miller made everything easy. Definitely recommend!

Senica is fantastic. She has been taking care of our dog Bentley for a few months now and has been very responsible, careful but most of all a great companion for Bentley. He can be difficult at times because of his breed (Beagle) but Senica makes every effort to hear out our suggestions, instructions and is very caring and adapted so quickly to him and his needs. Not to mention she does a great job of keeping him active, happy and always taking him to the best locations! She goes well above and beyond anything we could have asked for in a walker/sitter.

Victoria has been walking Cheddar for a few weeks now and she has been so great! She is always on time and very communicative, sending lots of pictures with quick recaps and making sure he gets his steps in. I’m very happy having Victoria walk him and would recommend her to any other pet parent.

Stella was absolutely wonderful! She stepped up while I was out of town, and walked my dog every day (even in the rain) and gave him so much love. My dog can be reactive and extra off when I’m gone, but she followed all my instructions and made me feel so comfortable leaving him in her care. He was so happy every day to see her! I’m so grateful and would highly recommend! 🐾❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
