Janet is an outstanding dog walker! She bonded immediately with our two English Setters, and they happily anticipate her arrival when it is time for a walk to our nearby park. Janet sends us photos, videos, and updates throughout the walk.  She keeps up a brisk pace but is sensitive enough to allow the girls to sniff when they wish, without them sneaking any inappropriate "snacks" that might be lingering on the path. Janet has an upbeat personality, and is always on time yet very flexible.  We can’t recommend her highly enough!

About: I was previously in a internship program about animals specifically dogs for a whole summer. Picking up after them and feeding them. It was about 28 dogs on the busiest days and the minimum was about 10 so I got to know very different and unique dogs. As of now I am open and available to watch any furry animals like cats or dogs for as long as I am required too. I have a very nice and playful dog myself that loves the company of other animals. She loves making friends and is gentle with smaller animals.

Deshauna walked and gave meds for our Yorkie, Champy. Deshauna accommodated our request for a meet-and-greet prior to walking him for the first time, which was important to explain the medication. During the walk, she arrived on time and was attentive to Champy's needs, and gave medication. Sent pictures and updates. I highly recommend!

Very gentle and it’s obvious she cares for animals just how slow she walk with him, knowing he’s an older dog have a 14-year-old Shih Tzu. Don’t walk very fast and she just took her time that means a lot to me not to rush him around just to get the work over with. Thank you again Rachel. See you shortly.

About: I have 10 years of experience in raising cats and 6 years of experience in rescuing stray cats. I have 3 cats at home. I am experienced in taking care of kittens, sick cats and dealing with cat stress. I live in a large house with 6 rooms and a backyard for two families. My husband and I work from home, so we have plenty of time to take care of your pets, we have plenty of time to take them for a walk. The house I live in has two floors and six rooms. I hope the owner provides food, and I will be provide snacks. The cats will live alone in the cat house for the first two days when they come to my house. I will observe the friendliness of the cats to decide whether to let them play with other cats.

About: I’ve been a dog owner for 8 years to my Kokoni, so I’m very familiar with the day-to-day care, training, and love dogs need. I’ve also recently cared for my boyfriend’s German Shepherd/Husky mix for 3 weeks, where I helped with daily walks, feeding, playtime, and even took him to vet visits. These experiences have taught me patience, responsibility, and how to care for both small and large breeds. I’m currently job hunting, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pets. Right now, I’m available for walks anytime between 8 AM – 5 PM, and I’d be happy to adjust within that window to fit your dog’s routine. I only care for one dog at a time to make sure they have my full attention and feel comfortable. I believe in 100% communication and transparency with owners, so you’ll always know how your pup is doing. As a dog owner myself, I’m very mindful about where my dog walks and who they interact with and I’ll give your dog the same level of care and caution.

About: I love to see dogs run and play with other dogs, and take them out for a walk so that they stimulate all their senses, because just as we get bored, they too. I like to walk with pets, especially dogs because they transmit their positive energy and eliminate any kind of annoyance in the environment. I have a dog and I like to take care of him a lot when we are in a park or any other place. I am always very attentive to what may or is happening around my pet and me. And obviously respect the space of the pets that are close to mine, as well as the owner. In my case, my dog is very playful and he is not neutered, even so he is very playful. I am very careful that he has his vaccines up to date and that he is healthy. After each walk, when he gets home I clean all his legs, his face, especially his nose (this because he smells everything), his tail and the entire area of his belly, since he is super super fluffy like a bear. I WILL ALWAYS: - Updates on your pet - Photos documenting each activity we are doing. - Experience with separation anxiety, leash-reactivity, and general aggression. - Experience with special needs and senior dogs. - Snacks, rubs, and cuddles always provided. - Patient walker: Your pet leads their experience, I follow and always supervise! FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY: - For leash-reactive or general aggression, please let me know in advance so that we may execute the safest booking possible. - Meet & Greets before accepting a booking is always available upon request! I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I am flexible but I need to know at least 2-3 hours in advance if it is the same day :) I prioritize safety by keeping the leash on in open areas to prevent accidents and ensure control. I value trust by respecting both people and other dogs' behavior. I enjoy engaging with dogs through playful activities like running and fetching, while also showing affection through petting, hugs, and expressing love. Additionally, I’m mindful of the environment, likely meaning I’ll clean up after your dog and I’m conscious of their impact on surroundings during play.

I can't say enough good things about Anny, who walks my dog, Pancito. From the very first meeting, it was clear that Annie is an incredibly professional and kind individual. She has a natural ability to connect with animals, and it's evident in how much Pancito adores her. Pancito gets so incredibly excited whenever Annie arrives, it’s like she’s greeting a long-lost friend. The bond they've formed is truly remarkable; watching them interact, it's as if I'm walking my own dog – that’s the level of trust and affection they share. Anny’s dedication and gentle approach make her an absolute star, and I feel so fortunate to have found her to care for Pancito. I will definitely be booking with her again,

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
