We needed a super last minute dog watcher and found Emily. She was accommodating and flexible as we were driving in from out of state, when we arrived she showed us her space and it was really clean with a nice enclosed backyard. She sent photos throughout the day and notes about our dog. Emily was great and we highly recommend her!!

About: I have over a decade of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments. As a current multi-pet owner with a mini poodle and a rescue cat, I am an expert at managing a happy, harmonious home and catering to different personality types. What sets my care apart is the activity level and location. I live just 20 feet from one park and a 5-minute walk from another, making outdoor time effortless. My schedule is built around your pet's needs: when I'm home, they get 3-4 walks a day, they are guaranteed three solid walks with plenty of park time. My home is a true 'pet paradise'—fully stocked with a massive variety of dog and cat toys to suit any play style, from high-energy fetch to interactive puzzle games. I also treat your pets like my own by exclusively serving ZeroWater filtered water for premium hydration. I am highly observant, deeply responsible, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, active, and loved. My weekly routine is highly structured to guarantee your pet gets plenty of regular exercise and potty breaks. Since I work from home every day, I am able to take dogs out for four walks a day (morning, lunch break, evening, and right before bed). I am always home for overnight boarding, and my weekends are fully open for even more playtime and park visits! Because I am a pet owner myself with a dog and a cat, my home is fully set up for animal safety. My environment is supervised, and I am particularly careful about keeping curious pets away from indoor plants or other hazards. I provide a calm, structured space where your pet can relax while I work from my home office. I also believe in total transparency and will send you frequent photo and video updates so you can see your pet enjoying their time, whether we're playing fetch at the park or lounging at home. To ensure every guest feels at home, I provide multiple dog beds in various sizes throughout the apartment. This allows each dog to have their own dedicated space to retreat to and relax, which is especially helpful for pups who might be a little timid at first!

Athena was amazing and so reliable. I booked super last minute and she was extremely accommodating, fast responding, and kept me updated with pictures throughout Ozzy’s stay which gave me so much peace of mind. She even fed him homemade food and treats and truly cared for him like her own. I was completely at ease during my trip knowing Ozzy was in such good hands. I will 10000% be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring 🤍

I couldn't recommend Janet more. She is incredibly communicative, professional, friendly, and positive. I received fast responses to my messages and pictures and videos of my 9 week old puppy. I could tell when he got home that he had the most fulfilling time of his young life. Dante took to her and he is on the shy side for a puppy. I knew when I met her that this was right for Dante not just for the short term, but in the long term as he grows up. I look forward to working with her and I am so happy I found the right person to help Dante grow up into the best dog he can be. :)

About: I have cared for dogs for the last 30 years. I work from home, so I will be able to give 24 hour attention to your pet. I think of pets as part of the family. My dogs have always roamed the house, and are allowed on the furniture. I have a fenced in yard and love to give your fur baby tons of love and affection. I have cared for senior dogs, and have taken care of two of my own until they passed (14, and 17) I am currently working from home, so I can give your fur baby 24-hour attention. I will follow your routine or schedule with walks and feedings. I have a fenced-in yard with space to run. I live near a huge wooded park just near the Whitestone Bridge. Dogs love to walk there (of course, on a leash) and explore the neighborhood. My home is multi-level, and I allow my own dogs in all areas of the house. My own dog Jilly, is extremely friendly and is very well trained. We trained her from a young age. If you do a meet and greet, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

I was on the search to find a pet sitter that would understand my specific circumstances. I have a rescue pup who has been through a lot, and is still acclimating to my space, and needs someone calm, and kind. I saw Priscilla had experience with rescues and messaged right away. She was so patient and accommodating around the day-sitting request. When she showed up, she was grounded and calm, and knew how to walk into the space without getting my pup more excited. I was also quite nervous, and she was patient with me as I bumbled through all the things I wanted her to know ? I was able to leave knowing my baby was in good hand. 10/10 would recommend and will rebook in the future! Fluffy and I say thank you, Priscilla!?

About: I’ve cared for pets since childhood and currently work in a veterinary office with 3 years of hands-on experience. I provide reliable care for cats, dogs, and birds. Feel free to inquire! Pet care is a consistent part of my daily and weekly routine. I work at a veterinary office Monday through Saturday, which allows me to bring professional experience and a strong understanding of animal health into my care routine. I manage boarding, visits, and pet care around my work schedule to ensure each pet receives proper attention. Dog walking and drop-in visits are typically scheduled before and after office hours. Boarding pick-ups and drop-offs are flexible within reason on those days, and Sunday pick-up or drop-off is available upon inquiry. I plan my schedule carefully to ensure pets in my care receive reliable, attentive, and consistent care every day. I can also set up Vet visits within my office upon inquiry! In my home, I provide a safe, clean, and structured boarding environment tailored to each pet’s needs. For dogs, I have 3–4 spacious enclosures measuring approximately 5ft x 5ft with tall height, allowing plenty of room to move comfortably, rest, and feel secure. Dogs are let out regularly for exercise, potty breaks, and supervised interaction, depending on their temperament and owner preferences. For cats, I have separate, smaller enclosures in a variety of sizes to ensure they feel calm and stress-free. Cats are kept in a quiet area away from dogs, with clean litter boxes, fresh water, and enrichment as needed. I follow each pet owner’s care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, and any special needs. Cleanliness, safety, and comfort are always a priority, and I monitor pets throughout the day to ensure they are happy and healthy. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine and environment. I follow all provided care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter box maintenance, medications, and any special needs. I ensure the home is kept tidy, pets are safe and comfortable, and I provide regular updates and photos so owners have peace of mind. Whether in my home or yours, cleanliness, safety, and attentive care are always my top priorities, and I monitor pets closely to ensure they are happy and healthy.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for about 5 years, and over that time I’ve also helped look after dogs for family and friends whenever they needed someone they could trust. I’m a very caring, patient, and detail-oriented person, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and getting to know their different personalities. When a dog stays with me, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for — and I want their owners to feel the same peace of mind. I always keep owners updated with lots of photos and videos, so even while you’re traveling, you’ll know your pup is getting plenty of love and attention. Caring for dogs is an important part of my daily life, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy. Right now, pet care is my full-time focus, which means I have the time, energy, and flexibility to give dogs lots of attention throughout the day. I’m also pet CPR certified, and I always do my best to provide a safe, loving, and attentive environment for every pup staying with me. I live in a clean and well-kept apartment and do our best to create a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for dogs in our care. I also have a 3-year-old Border Collie who is very sweet, gentle, and full of positive energy. He has done very well with other dogs and has enjoyed spending time and playing with them. Throughout the day, I make sure dogs get regular potty breaks, outdoor time, and time to relax and settle in comfortably at home. After coming back inside, I clean their paws to help keep them clean and comfortable while also maintaining a tidy living space. I also pay attention to brushing and overall cleanliness so dogs can feel comfortable during their stay. Most importantly, I pay close attention to each dog’s comfort level, personality, and interactions to help maintain a safe and positive environment for everyone.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in College Point on Rover is $39.96 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 11,462 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across College Point. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your College Point commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 11,462 sitters in College Point, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
