“Glory was great with my dog, super friendly, on time, very communicative & adhered to all requests. Will definitely book again in the future & highly recommend to anyone else in the area in need of a sitter.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for over 2 years, I also do dog walking. I treats dogs like my own, I have a 3 year old male Pomeranian/King Charles spaniel dog. I’ve trained him to be able to be free at the park and being able to come back to me without running away. He knows not to eat food from the floor. He’s a very obedient dog, I make sure the dogs that I board feel comfortable with me and my dog, I like to walk them at least 3 times a day and for long period of time, I have a park near by where I like to take them to sniff around and run around in the dog park. I also give them treats when at home, dogs are allowed to be on the bed, I provide access to water 24/7. I’m working full time, as I am a stay at home mom of a 4 month old baby. I’m able to play with the dogs, and walk them outside 3-4 times a day. I have a 3 years old male Pomeranian/ King Charles spaniel dog, 20 pounds he's very anxious at first but warms up perfectly fine after. I live in an apartment, I don’t keep my dog in a crate but he’s crate trained. I’m able to keep your dog in crate if you prefer. I don’t provide crates, if I see my dog is very anxious with the dog I’m boarding to keep both dogs safe I will leave my dog with my mom. Other than that I usually don’t have any problems with dogs being on the bed etc.. My dog doesn’t isn’t aggressive, he’s just anxious when meeting new dogs. But he likes to have company since he’s by myself. I have my living room free with plenty of space for them play around, I recently moved into a new apartment so I dont have any furniture in the living room.
“Jeideliz was a wonderful sitter for our very new rescue pup. She allowed me to change the drop off time last minute and was so sweet. She even gave our dog a bully stick, which he loves. Jeideliz even got Frankie to walk on a leash when we haven’t been able to do that. I would definitely use her again and would recommend her to others. Great dog sitter!”

“Tiffany was absolutely amazing with my puppy, Cosmo! As a new dog owner, I was nervous about going back to work, but she completely eased my anxiety. She took such great care of Cosmo and made me feel confident he was in good hands. I highly recommend her and will definitely be booking with her again moving forward. Thank you again Tiffany!”

About: I love animals; I've always had a strong connection with them, and I give them a lot of love and respect. I feed them, bathe them, and let them take their naps. I also take them for walks and play with them. I'm not currently working; I'll be dedicating my time to taking care of puppies since I really enjoy being at home and I love dogs. I have a fenced-in yard and I can also keep them in a room I have available for this purpose. The puppy will be very comfortable.

“My golden doodle, Reba, is often anxious but she very quickly felt right at home with Vivian and her husband! They are lovely people and I would definitely leave Reba with them again.”

“Omar is AMAZING!! Walter felt at ease from the first moment they met. He walked right in as if he has known Omar all his life. He looked forward to seeing him every morning. About: I’ve always loved being around dogs and treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m patient, attentive, and make sure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owner is away. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel at ease knowing their pet is in good hands. I am currently work from home, so I’m able to provide pets with plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I can easily accommodate walks, feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, and check-ins. In my home, I have a fenced yard and a small Chihuahua to keep your pets accompanied. I always make sure the space is clean, pet-friendly, and supervised at all times.
“I enlisted assistance of Bianca when I needed to board my pets over the holiday due to last minute work reassignment and Bianca made herself available on short notice. I also placed my babies in her daycare and she was more than helpful in rearranging her schedule to meet our needs. She has been more than kind, attentive and accommodating to my babies, Autumn and Pumpkin, from the moment they met. She took the time to bring her baby, Bb, to meet my pups I and ensured that everyone got along. She's focused on assuring me that my babies needs are met with contact continuously while they're in her care - with pictures videos and text updates. If you're looking for a dedicated, responsible, caring individual to care for your babies, then have found the one in Bianca. I am so grateful for the care she has provided my babies and will continue to enlist her help in the future.”

“Thank you to Imari for caring for my fur baby while I had to work! She was very responsive to my messages and proactive with sending me photos and videos of my doggo while I was at work. He settled in well, as she made sure all of his needs were met. It made me feel very secure knowing he was in good hands during my shift. I highly recommend booking her for your doggy daycare needs!”

“Talk about coming through in the clutch! I had to find a dog sitter the night before a birthday brunch this past Sunday. Daisy came through with flying colors! Not only is she very engaging and personable, but super professional, easy to talk to, provided updates on our dog while under her care. Five stars all around! I’ll definitely use her again and again when need be. Thank you Daisy!”

“Bryan was phenomenal! I am very protective of my baby boy but my partner and I were in need of a last minute sitter and Bryan was our pick because of the other reviews. He was friendly and sent pics during Brodee’s stay! Bryan even spoke to Brodee in Spanish which is Brodee’s first language so that was an added bonus. Brodee already loves Bryan. We 100% recommend and will request him again next time we are in town. Muchas Gracias, Bryan!”

Stephanie and Corey are the best! They've saved my life with watching my 1 year old pup with separation anxiety...he loves them so much and can't wait to spend the day with them and his new best friends Luna and Izzy! I can't begin to explain how much they've helped me with their care and accommodation. I know that my puppy is safe and happy when he's at their house! 💞

Highly recommend Dean! His communication style is professional & caring. He eased all my anxiety as it was difficult leaving my new puppy in someone’s care. He gives updates, is prompt, and even helped my pup socialize with trusted dogs. I couldn’t ask for a better sitter! I’ll be booking again.

For me to have found someone under such short notice, who not only accepted with less than 12 hours notice, but to also have truly been a pet person was a blessing. Nellysa and her husband were super kind. They treated Charlie with such great care. Truly feel thankful to have found them!! Thank you so much Nellysa! You guys are amazing and I’m truly so so thankful!

Daisy did well with our kid. There was information provided about her plans for his stay. Her updates corresponded with what she told us. Our dog was happy. We know his temperament very well if he has a good experience vs a not so good one. He was content. Updates on our pup is of huge importance. Transparency is equally important and can serve as a deal breaker when leaving our dog with anyone. Daisy followed through with what she communicated. We received updates and text responses. Overall a good experience. Will consider her services again for our baby.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bronx commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
